Hi can some one please me understand somethin. There are some changes to Google play policies recently.I have notice Google pulling out some apps from the market. First there was a way2sms aided app, then a Koran drama app they just vanished from play store. Developer told that it was due to copyright policies. So can someone tell me what happens to apps that let you watch movies via putlocker, sockshare etc on android ? Ex: Dmovies
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dmovies.movies
Do you think these sort of apps will also be removed from Google play store ?

Anything can be removed from the Play Store. If the owners complain of any sort of copyright, etc it can be removed.
I see. Thanks for the info. It seems google has become too arrogant to reply to queries.BTW Google newsstand is nothing different than stealing other's news contents I was wondering if the same logic applied to them. But really collecting links to content on the web can be issue too?

Collecting links isn't stealing. That would mean all browsers are stealing content. It depends on whether you host it or not, use their names anywhere, etc.
So I infer that apps collecting and displaying Links of 3d party video hosting sites like a indexer is not be illegal in anyway.
However for the matter of Google newsstand, policy states showing content of other sites, into a webview type which is not your own is not allowed. However newsstand app shows pages from other news papers inside itself. Much like iframes. Anyways that's Google for you.

Hello Everybody, I'm giving my 10 year old son an Android device for X-Mas and I want to completely block the "Paid Apps" but I want him to have access to all the "Free Apps" he wants..... is there a way to do this? I thought of an "App Block" app but that blocks everything, can somebody point me where I can find a Market APK that has all the purchase items removed (is there such a thing or is it even possible to make one?)this will save me a lot of money...thank you everybody Happy Holidays!
I would think simply not entering a card into market would prevent this. Also heard a news report about new market versions and ratings for apps. I assume you would be able to block them right though the market in the coming versions. I am not aware of specific apps for this. Sorry.
Edit: look in the market for "android parental controls." Its an app.

The problem is because it gives an option to charge to the account, I'm with T-Mobile USA.
Oh yes.. They added that. Forgot.

Have you tried to call T-Mobile? I think they can put a block on that line so that it cant have apps purchased through the carrier. When you buy a app it has to get it authorized so I am sure they can block it.
Don't know If this works on the market but what your thinking of is called content blocking....but this disabled text messing services that use short numbers(example free google text messaging 411)
The google 411 number is 46645 (googl)

Please post questions in Q&A section.
You can add a content block feature to the line, and it will allow free asps to be downloaded, but any paid content, including ringtones, etc will be blocked.
If your son attempts to dl a paid app, the authorization will be declined

can anyone that is kind enough to provide us that is Non-US the latest google music 3.0.1?
i know its available on the market, but as you know, market forbids people not from US from installing it.
thanks.
I think I have this somewhere.
try that: http://www.4shared.com/file/85Gfqef7/comgoogleandroidmusic-1.html?
chances that this will work on the US WIFI Xoom I am using here in Europe?
Is google music restricted to US IPs for some reason?
Or is it enough to have the apk installed and a google account with an google music invite?
the APK should install on anything - I have it on my Desire - just because I can.
AFAIK You do need a google account with the music beta invite though - that's the bit i don't have

Hi everyone. I have just published an app to the playstore. What it does is that you sign In with you instagram account pick a photo then I put it on a T-shirt and deliver it to the customer.
Problem is that when you type in instagram in the search my app is quite far down the list so therefore quite hard to see.
I've tried different keywords changing the title, description and even category but none of them seem to be moving it further up.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Maybe try uploading to this website in the appropriate section of course. I'd put it on at least a few more websites like App brain. You could also put a video on YouTube on how to use the app even if it's very simple. Things like his could get your app to used by more people. This is just an idea as I've never developed an application but it's worth a try I guess. Good luck!

My brother and I both have Nexus 7's. When we buy pc games one of us buys it and we both install it on our laptops (I'm 16 so I still live at home with family including my brother). Is there some way for my brother to play games on his nexus that I bought on mine (without having him sign into my Google account)? I know some file explorers (like androzip) have a "backup" option which packs the app back into an apk but it fails when I try it on paid apps (obviously drm).
Thanks

The best way is to share the same google account, if not it is indirectly a way of piracy, based on my point of view my friend.
Sent from my Nokia 3310
The only problem with sharing one account is you cannot play games very well, because say your halfway through level 5 on mc4, if your bro wants to play you would have to start a new game and loses your progress. Really stupid and fustrating as tablets are not really individual minded I don't think. I did read somewhere that you can share apps, but you have to be rooted for it to work.
Shared through a common Google account is the only legitimate way.
Could be a new Google account, used only for buying apps.

Guys I'm hoping someone can explain the following.....
I was looking for a simple RSS reader, I'm sat next to my mate, he's got a gnex too and suggests greader by Google inc, I can see it on his phone and in his market.
I've searched my play store and have a greader app but it's by noinnion even though the asp looks similar to the ogival Google product
Either way I cannot see the original Google version of the reader and he can? Why is this?
Were both in the same geographical area, same os version build, bought them from the same place and have the same regional settings etc but I get totally dif search results
Wtf?!

I've read Google were going to remove it; it seems they have now as it's not on mine either.
