Ok this maybe a silly question so tolerate the post.. ... One irritating thing about whatsapp is the last seen feature ( atleast in few cases )
I know there are a few apps which block this by blocking data access when u r in whatsapp....
Was looking @Logs in data folder and there was info about my last seen etc... There must be some code which enables whatsapp to access the time right ???
Is there any patch that can be installed to deny this?? ( no last seen feature) .....

Yeah, but just one thing, not everything is bloat, and blocking it is sometimes, or most times becomes an obsession rather than necessity.

Nope it doesn't free up memory. It's still there but unusable. Btw this option has been available in android since ICS, nothing new.

Simple proof of concept
do a benchmark
disable majority of heavy apps
benchmark again
again this tip will help people who does not want to root
Download and install the apk of Play Store 4.0.25 you do not need to root your devicehttp://downloadandroidrom.com/file/apk/market/com.android.vending-1-DL.apk
Loads better! So much cleaner UI

Is there any way to check if this file is original and not modified? I wouldn't like to make any purchase with possibly altered file (or maybe google included some security for such a case?).
Thank you, looks much better.

Wait for the update in your phone...
You know that by simpling installing a ROM in your phone it could have any .apk modified to steal your info... rite? Anyway, no one would do that... I hope...

The dumbest thing about it is placing the "update" and "uninstall" buttons so ultra-close together and making them so super-small. What happened to Google's UI common sense?
Now, every time you update an app, I have to be careful not to accidentally push "uninstall" and I don't even have fat fingers!
Does anyone experience laggy scrolling performance in the new Play Store?

It's kind of stuttery/laggy here. So is gmail list scrolling, so is YouTube app.
Seems like scrolling in lists does not work well on my phone. Web browsing for instance, is much smoother.
When installing an app with Play Store, it can actuallly be smoother than unloaded. I'm running MC3 fw, but the problem has always been present. Did a factory reset a few days ago, but it did not help.

If your device is rooted, why you just uninstall all this bloatware (or just disable it,like the 3 rd post). With greenify, you can not stop a system application (like Watch on)
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
I use Gemini App manager to configure the autorun of each app.
It means you can keep the app installed and enabled but the app will only run on user allowed conditions.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...MsImNvbS5zZWFzbWluZC5hbmRyb2lkLmdtYXBwbWdyIl0.
Exactly, just delete the APKs you don't use from
Code:
/system/app
.

It's a $16 app that you are getting for free. It's pretty smooth for all the features it's offering.
You might want to make a backup cos it won't be linked to your Google account, meaning you won't be able to get full version if you install this on a different device.
If your bloatware radar kicked up, you can always install it. No big deal.
