There are rumors that the new DROID 2 / droid r2 root will work for the droid x is the true has any tried

Well, you posted in the appropriate sub-forum and if you look at every thread below yours, you'll see all the ROMs that are compatible.

Note 3 AOSP ROM?

Why? There have been AOSP ROMs on devices with locked bootloaders.

AFAIK they all use kexec which hashcode has stated is not possible on this device

Just found that CM is working on a note 3 build. Does that mean anything for the Verizon version?

I feel CM will eventually make its way to our Note 3. I came from the RAZR maxx, which also use SafeStrap as its custom recovery and had a locked bootloader, and they eventually had support from Cyanogenmod. It's just a hope and a dream right now

To be completely honest, I never remember flashing anything kexec on my RAZR. I would just put a ROM in slot 1, boot up, and I would have CM.
Then again this is a different device, so we will just have to dream of it.

I believe it's the Note 2 but they are on XDA..
