Hi, I can't set the new diaper as default. there's no option to "clear default" for the stock dialer because I can't find it in the App settings.
Is there another way to use themes for the stock dialer? it's very ugly right now.
How do I set the new dialer as default?
Thanks!

I hoped I can use the ex-dialer as the default dialer for incoming calls too, it seems it's impossible. Am I right?
How can I change the default's dialer theme?
Thanks!

Few Discoveries:
Add a battery indicator to the dialer:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\bShowBatteryIcon
edit this to
"1".
opens up additional menu in the dialer.
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\NikeOptionOnOff
Set this to "1"
Change the Dialer completly to regular one:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\SmartDialingOnOff
Set this to "1"
Enjoy

Hi,
3. no it can't be changed since thats acctually the regular dialer buttons (images) resized, there for the lame resolution...
Nadavi.
Is there a way to have a normal dialer like the original touch had, I like it plain, the dialer in the Touch Dual is way to cluttered. I saw there is the HTC Dialer Skin but from its thread it seems to have a lot of problems???
When my phone is in standby and I get text messages, it doesn't make a sound, I think this is a problem across all Diamonds because I've read about it in a few places. I was wondering if there is a way to fix that? I'm using the Swift 7.0 full rom if it makes a difference. Thanks!
have you checked the sound settings? go to "settings" and then "sound & notifications" and then click on notification tab there you can check the sounds for the entire phone.
are you using s2u2 v1.22? my solution is to used diamond TF3D config. and in the Tweaks setting, tick on WakeUpOnNewSms.

After i finish call i see about 3 sec delay, and i can't repeat call or any action.
How to remove it delay ??
(please if possible registry tweak)
You can change that setting in Advanced Configuration Tool. In the "Phone" settings, end call delay default is at 3000, hence the 3-second delay. You can lower than number in the settings. Works great.
doesn't work, but i enter 0 sec

Did you try 1 second? That's what I have it set to, and seems to be working well.

One thing to keep in mind is that when changing the setting, you can't just type in the number. If you do that the setting won't stick. Instead, you have to use the up/down arrows to set the value.
Did you reset the device? It works for me.
Works for me too ...set it to zero (by typing in 0) and soft reset ...no more delay ending calls (answers quicker too)
Am using R3AA
works really great! is there also maybe an option where you can get rid of that beep beep beep after a ended call?
Does anyone know the registry key for it?
Mine doesn't have the option in the advanced tab. Just 'Reject call with text messge' & 'Add new phone number to contacts at end of call'
its not in the advanced tab. you have to use Advanced configuration tool...
Use the original winmo dialer not the beautiful one
Im using the dialer from PocketShield which has a pretty nice look in my opinion.

The latest pocketshield even suggests to disable the beautiful dialer. Have you done that?
Hi,
I just installed Shaps Advanced Config Tool, but the mentioned option under Phone is not there. Is there another Advanced Config Tool I don't know about?
Thanks
Marc
Figured it out myself =) Used an old version (2.2) instead of the new 3.3.
nevermind =)

When HTC Sense is enabled the "settings" link in the program screen is linked to the settings tab/pane in HTC Sense. When Sense is turned off in the Today-settings, the same link points to the standard setting screen of windows mobile.
What I want is to make the "settings" link in the program screen to point directly to the standard windows settings (used to be "control panel), or better yet: a standalone HTC settings app then can run outside the Sense environment.
Why? I want to turn of the settings tab in the HTC Sense interface. Something that easily can be done by editing the registry. This way I can manage to minimalize the amount of tabs to 5. Just enough to prevent the disorienting scrolling to the left and the right when selecting a tab.
Can it be done? Is there an easy way to open the windows settings screen while Sense is enabled?
Thanks
You should try BsB Tweaks, one of it's options does just that.
Find it here:

Is there a way how to set it through registry instead of installing a special app on that? Thanks

For who wants to know:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Configuration\12
Setting Enable to 0 hides the Settings panel in Sense.

BsB Tweaks does much more than just this.....Just check out the page and you will find that BsB Tweaks is a MUST HAVE App
Besides lots of tweaks it also makes it easy for you to Add Rotation for programs that do not automatically rotate, and/or add Pinch-to-zoom for programs that by themselves do not support pinch-to-zoom.
If you don't want to install the app, you could ask makeveral how he does the settings Tweak (I wouldn't know).
Pappagallo: Ok, thanks for tip.

Set this to zero:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo:HideSettings
and reset.
But there will be two identical icons for Settings after this. You can delete settings.lnk from the Start Menu to get rid of the HTC Settings.

That's fantastic. Now do you have any idea how to create a quicklink to the new windows settings? Can't find it for the life of me...
yes. noob here. All the *setting*.ink's i can find lead back to the sense settings, or handle different/specific settings entirely.

Hello there,
could you please tell me WHERE the default wallpapers of Android 2.2 / CM10.1 are stored and how I can delete some of them and add some others to this location (maybe it is just a directory or is it more tricky)?
And could you also tell me, how I can remove Android 2.2's sms/mms smilies?
Very much thanks,
fooness

regarding the smileys i think you can disable them off in the keyboard settings or even better just go into the sms app and press settings scroll down and it should be under emoji and untick that if you do not want to use them

Hi, thanks for your answer.
You can replace the smilies-button with an newline/enter-button, yes. And you can disable emojis, that's also correct. But I didn't find a way yet to disable the graphical android smilies. So if I get/write an sms/mms and I use a smilie like : - ) (without spaces), then the graphical smilies are shown and they are really annoying. : /
