Stuck in bootloop. Please Help!! USB debugging not turned on - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed a kernel, wiped cache, and rebooted my phone and now it's stuck in the google logo..I searched on google and every thing i seen was to turn on USB debugging. unfortunately i didn't turn it on..I've got 2 differant tool kits but they dont recognize my phone..I followed the directions to install drivers and all.....I'm Lost and really need help..thanks in advance..

Can you get into fastboot mode? Hold vol-up and vol-down then press power. That's the mode you need to be in to work with toolkits.

I was just stuck in the same situation last week. I accidentally wiped internal storage during a flash and basically had no OS to boot in to.
Try using the nexus 4 toolkit found in one of the developers forums. Theres a option to run called "soft bricked" or something and it'll just ask you to get in to bootloader mode and it'll flash a stock image automatically. Worked for me after some sweat and tears

Nexus 4: Boot loop with locked bootloader and no USB debugging - HELP!!!

Hi all,
First time posting on here (but I read the forums often - for guides etc).
Bought the Nexus 4 and I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the device. Kept to the stock Android (JB 4.2) however I locked the bootloader again.
The boot loop occurred after a restart after I did the following things:
1. Used Battery Calibration to calibrate the battery. Left the battery to drain and then charge to 100%.
2. Used VM Heap to change the amount and restarted the phone. Boot loop ocurred.
I have tried many things after reading this forums and other forums but there seems to be no answer to this issue.
Things I've tried are:
1. Booted into recovery mode and wipe data/factory reset many times - still has boot loop
2. Used Nexus Root Toolkit and tried the various functions on there. Fastboot doesn't detect the device (even though its in fastboot mode) in order for me to unlock the bootloader again and flash it with the stock ROM. Windows (8) does detect it but can't load drivers for it. Been through all the instructions on the Nexus Root Toolkit - reinstall drivers, cleared the device from device manager, cleared it from usb list etc. Fastboot just won't detect it to allow me to unlock!!
3. Let the battery drained and tried factory resetting but doesn't work (not tried fully charging it and then resetting though)
4. Been trying various other things which I read on the forum(s) but nothing seems to work!:crying:
Literally spent the whole day trying so many different things. Seems like I discovered a whole new unique problem to causing boot loop on the Nexus 4. I don't want to have to send this back to Google for a replacement if they give me one - hopefully with the locked bootloader and the data cleared, they won't know I've rooted, not to mention its micro-sim and my backup feature phone doesn't take micro-sim :crying:
Has any one had this issue before and fixed it!? Would really appreciate the help/guidance!
My first time rooting a phone, didn't do it before on other phones because thought knowing my luck I'd brick it beyond repair! Luck would have it, that exactly what has happened.
Appreciate the replies and help on this!

I'm having the same problem!
For the toolkit to see the device, you need to put your device to fastboot mode by pressing vol (-) and then the power button (the phone should be in powered off mode to do this).

I had a boot loop issue. It was stuck on Google logo - the white logo.
I couldn't go into recovery either.
My fix was to flash the stock recovery.IMG
I too couldn't detect the device however I kept trying.
If you face a problem getting into fast boot mode try pressing vol up + vil down + power. Didn't work for me but worked for some.
Let me know how it goes I'm glad to help out if I can
Having USB Debugging ticked WHILE IN ANDROID has absolutely no effect on whether or not your computer can see the device WHILE IN RECOVERY OR FASTBOOT.

Didn't fix it in the end...no matter what I tried. I got a replacement from Google (thankfully they didn't charge me for the new one!).
BTW the batch of Nexus 4 released in end of Jan/early Feb has a much better battery life than the one I got from the batch released in early Dec. Won't be rooting the new Nexus 4 in case sh*t happens again but no doubt will get tempted again somewhere down the line!
Thank you to everyone who replied!~ :good:
sideloading 4.4.2 and stuck on boot loop

[Q] Boot Loop "No Command" Fix?

So my 4 year old nephew was playing with my 2012 Nexus 7 and now it's stuck in a bootloop and I can't get into anything but bootloader. Every option takes me right back to the google startup logo of the merging color dots. It was rooted but I was using stock kit kat at the time.
I've done my reading on how to fix a bootloop, lots of tutorials with the same info: use wug fresh tool kit to restore to factory. However, all of these instruct turning on USB Debugging on the Nexus. How do you do that when you are stuck in bootloop with only access to bootloader and the Android System Recovery screen????? I have to totally be missing something here are these guys aren't thinking through the problem. I'm smart enough to know I could be the problem, but I don't think so?
So, can someone tell me how I can get my Nexus 7 back to stock, considering that I am only able to get into bootloader? Also I have a mac, so any mac compatible solutions would be awesome, but I can get my hands on a PC if necessary.
I have unlock/rooted/rom'd before, so I'm not a complete idiot on this subject. Yet, obviously far from an expert. I know I have to use fastboot but will it work if I can't get into my nexus to turn on usb debugging?
Some details:
1. Only Bootloader is accessible through the Power/Vol UP/Vol Down combo (see pic)
2. From the Bootloader, Start/Power Off/Restart Bootloader all take you to the bootloop of the merging dots.
3. Recovery Mode takes you to the "No Command" screen (see pic)
4. From the No Command Screen, a quick button combo of Power/Vol UP/Vol Down takes you to the Android System Recovery screen (see pic)
5. I have tried the wipe data/factory reset option to no affect, still get bootloop.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
The USB debugging toggle is only to use adb with a booted ROM. Your ROM isn't booting. Fastboot and adb side load will work in boot loader and recovery, respectively. As for Mac commands, not my wheelhouse.

If you want wug's toolkit, boot your tablet into bootloader, and check the option for "Soft Bricked/Boot Loop" on the toolkit. Then do the flash stock and unroot.

Stuck on LG Logo (Stock recovery, No DL Mode)

Hi all
First of all sorry for asking this question but after search for hours I have come across no answers.
My device wont boot, it gets stuck on the LG logo. I also cant seem to boot in Download mode to restore back to stock. The device in a G2 International and is unlocked. I have installed PC drivers etc but will not work. I turn off device completely, even tried disconnecting battery on mother board, and pressed up to boot in DL mode but it will not work just boot into LG logo again. Now i CAN get in the restore hard reset screen by pressing power and V down but it stays on the device restore screen after I have pressed power button a couple of times. Also PC will now see device when in this mode either.
Any help or pointing in the right direction would be a lot of help.

You didn't specify if you were using a Windows PC, or a Linux OS. A Linux operating system could see the device even when Windows doesn't. Using Linux and the ADB toolkit - I would push a custom recovery to the device and then reboot into the new recovery. After that it should be easy to mount the device and install a new ROM.
Ah! Reading again, I see "installed drivers", so you must be using Windows. Try using Linux.
Thanks, so I tired the unbrick method of short circuiting the mother board and then using linux to see the partions push aboot, boot and laf img this allowed me to boot into download mode and then using flash tool to flash a UK based 4.2.2 ROM the device is now working perfectly. Thanks for you help. MOD you can close this thread now.
Link for method I used here.

My Phone Got Stuck on the Boot Screen.

Hello, I own a Lenovo A6010, I recently tried to install a custom rom from a forum in this website, as i am newbie to all this, I think i screwed somewhere. Now my phone is stuck on boot screen. I cannot even start my phone in recovery mode or the menu that takes you to recovery mode.
Before flashing i had taken a backup of the dalvik cache and system and data and all those options available in the backup option in twrp which kept on my pc. Now i dont have any idea what do.
I even downloaded the stock rom of my phone from some website, but it was available in a rar file.
When I connect my phone with a cable while pressing the volume down button the same boot screen pops up and my computer starts to install device drivers. I think my phone can be brought back to normal, but i don't know how.
can someone please help me with some suggestions on what to do with my brick.
Thanks in Advance...
Warm regards
Do you have twrp installed? And by what method exactly did you try to install the custom rom?
Edit: Nevermind. Didn't realise this was a year old thread

Can't erase User Data in LG e435g Dual SIM

Hello.
First of all, English is not my native languague so, I'm sorry if some mistakes are made in this post.
Now, I've got an LG e435g, it was given to me by an uncle that has passed away. It is locked, and nobody knows the password, neither the Gmail Account related to it. I want to use it, it doesn't matter if all the info is lost or can't be backed up.
The problems are these, there is NO recovery installed. When I try the keys combination for the recovery, it enters a screen that shows this "Recovery mode: Using his mode, service center canback up and recover your data. Press and Hold the Power key more than 8 seconds to reboot and continue using phone". No Android logo, nor Wipe Data option. When the power key is pressed for 8 seconds, the phone just reboots and enters the lock screen.
None other keys combination do absolutely anything, I've tried everything, and it just boots normal.
There is no way to enter Bootloader, cause it's locked.
Can't go into Emergency or Download mode, not even with the always trusty "Vol - and Connect to pc" with or without battery. It just doesn't seems to enter and boots normally or goes into charging logo.
ADB and Fastboot doesn't recognize the phone, and USB Debugging its not enabled, and can't be enabled, cause I'm locked away.
The Only thing I've been able to do, is flashing a new ROM. For some reason LG FlashTool and LGMobileSupportTool does recognize the phone when it's Turned Off and charging like if it was on a Download mode. I flashed a new ROM, but it doesn't erase Userdata, so can't enter the phone yet.
So summarizing:
- Can't do Wipe Data
- Doesn't have Recovery
- Doesn't have USB Debugging enabled, and I can't enable it
- I Don't have the Password
- Can't enter Emergency Mode or Download Mode
- Doesn't have Bootloader
- Not Rooted
- Not recognized by Adb Y Fastboot
- I can Flash other Roms with LgFlashTool
- It haves no warranty
There are no word of how much I would appreciate if someone could help me. Thanks in advance :good:
