Add money to Google Wallet w/ CC with no fee. - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

I'm assuming the strike though the fee amount in the "Add Funds" section of my Google Wallet app means that there isn't a 2.9% fee right now...
I'm not sure if this is temporary, just thought i'de share.

Places where Google Wallet works

Starting a thread where we let each other know different place where google wallet could be used. That pay pass app isn't the best for finding places and I've found a couple place not even listed on there.
I used google wallet at McDonalds, Best Buy, Rite Aid and Castnet Seafood in New Orleans. Feel free to share your experiences.
Idk but this is useful lol

No go in Australia - so far
Flashed Shopper and Wallet APKS onto my rooted stocked 2.3.6 Nexus S here in Australia.
The NFC component works - the shop's cash machine and wallet app 'talk' to each other, yet the transaction is declined. Also, can't add fund to prepaid card using Australian debit/credit cards.
Does any Master Card work or is it only Citi Cards? I would live to hook this to my standard MC Debit card if I could.

The where it works link is much more accurate I found today than the app they recommend that's for sure.

Works. Answered the question as well. It was a Robot Chicken question lol. Reload card is on the way in the mail. Guess I'll be taking Serve and Paypal payments now.
Also if you add your bank you can just transfer funds instead of waiting a week for a check.

I am looking for places that accept paypal also. Staples and Gamestop unfortunately, do not accept it. I'm hoping within a few days of release other online retailers will carry the nexus 7.
A lot of sellers on eBay are taking pre-orders.
In the UK ebuyer.com accepts payments by PayPal and have the Nexus7 for pre-order
I just use PayPal's Debit Mastercard, but I'm not entirely sure if that's available outside of the US
paypal
i just used paypal @ www adorama com to purchase the 16G model.

Also: it was 25$.
Still, you shouldn't feel disappointed, OP, as the price of the Nexus 7 has gone down around 50$ since we early adapters got our hands on one.
Correct me, but i think you get a free movie, a few books and 2 songs for free.. Idk if its still present, but i got them when i bought my 32GB 3g.. ^^

You guys are mixing up the free gift with google wallet and the free gift from nexus 7 purchases.
The gift with google wallet was indeed ten bucks.
The gift with nexus 7 was 25 bucks.
Both have now stopped.

The 10$ credit wasn't linked to the 7, it was for activating Google wallet. So no, there wasn't a 10$ credit with purchase of nexus 7, there was a 25$ credit at one point.

It finished ages ago, but you still got a free film, some books and some magazines. Here in the UK we only got a free film

Which, coincidentally, was explained earlier in the thread. There was never any $10 credit linked to the N7. Rather, it was only for activating the now obsolete Google Wallet prepaid card. The credit for early adopters of the N7 was a $25 Play Store credit, which ended 30 Sep 2012.

DEAL: Nexus 7 32GB + $25 Play store credit for $239

Just thought I'd let you guys know. I went to Best Buy yesterday and saw it for cheap.
You get a 32GB Nexus 7 2013 and 25$ play store credit for $239
Seems like a good deal. Go scoop if you haven't already
P.S. I was surprised this was cheaper than Walmart! haha
Before or after tax? Hell of a good deal
That is a good deal! I got a good one too, 16GB for $199 (price match at BB)
It was like $269 after sales tax for me (CA). Plus I bought the Best Buy 1 year warranty for $50. Total came out to $312 and some change. I must say not a bad deal at all. I saw this for sale last night also and figured I would jump on it since it's about $30-40 cheaper than the Google Play Store.

They send you a code in your email. I actually returned the device because the screen was yellow.... But they let me KEEP the play store credit!
FYI, I disagree with the idea of having to show your ID for a return. This is an invasion of privacy. Im surprised they haven't been sued to the dirt.

I got the credit but the "tablet deparment specialist" had no idea about it. They even gave a free book, 6 months unlimited cloud storage for 3 devices, and a year of free antivirus. I'd call this trip a success, lol. Btw, that antivirus rang up $109.99 originally but everything dropped to $0.00 for some random promo that wasn't mentioned. Haha
