The firmware link on galaxynote3root.com is the sammobile.com. I flashed that firmware, but the stock recovery didn't come back, but it unrooted it. Does anyone have a copy of the stock recovery that they could send me a download too? Because otherwise I am screwed here.

That's your problem. You can't flash kernels on mf3. You'll probably have to odin the mf3 tar files.
Ok thank you I just restored. Is there any way to update from MF3?

[Q] Can't root after upgrading to 4.4.2 leaked firmware

Please help! Lost root after upgrading to 4.4.2. When I tried to regain root by flashing CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar, boot loop resulted. It seemed I've lost stock recovery too. After removing the battery and switching to download mode, then vol down button, I managed to boot my device normally. Yet I still can't root my phone. Can anyone advise me on this issue? Thanks in advance.

It's pretty simple, you just need to use Odin and flash the MJE stock .tar.md5 file from HERE with your phone in download mode. You'll have to root again with Kingo v. 1.1.6.
So do I have to switch Safestrap?
