Yes, you can upgrade to 4.4 by following the same tutorial. Just change system size for your new rom when flashing CWM.

My friend ... as we all know the kitkat roms are still under development so I advise you not to install one of those test ones ... untill the final build releases ... in the meantime you can try many other roms ... if you like sense roms you can try " AndroPlus (+) Rom " Which Is The Best Sense Rom I Tried ... But If You Like JB ROMs (non Sense - until the sense 5 rom releases for LEO ) I Recommend You SlimROM (Android 4.3.1 ) Which Is The Best ... I would be glad to help ... if you wanted Ican Provide you the Links of the Threads ...
With Best Wishes

Please help ! HTC 2.1 update, does the htc hero 2.1 update give you android market ?

Hi guys ,
Well i bought my HTC hero on eBay like many others it did not come with android market would the new HTC hero 2.1 update give me android market ?
Should i update my phone? or should i flash my phone to a custom ROM to guarantee a android market in my phone? Don't know what to do please help.
Cheers, and many thank you
I recommend flashing a custom ROM (following the guides on xda) If you update to the official 2.1 from HTC you won't be able to root or have a custom ROM (at least for quite a while anyway).
Now i'm going to guess the next question would what ROM do you recommend and all I can say is I use VillainROM 10.3, its all I've ever used and I like it

He is the first DEV to release a GB ROM with Sense and a working camera.

Ive been waiting on a sense rom for a while now but to be honest i don't think there for everyday use at the moment... what id suggest ye do is what i done, get Typhoon rom (Located in my signature) and get the CM7 sense theme (also located in my signature) which has the same layout, keyboard, settings etc
you wont be disappointed in the performance of Typhoon as its really stable and fast if you do a fresh install, starting with task29.
also id follow up on the Save battery thread (located in sig) and follow threw them steps,
Gingerbread sense is buggy at the moment (Camera/GFX glitches) as we are waiting for the new Desire Gingerbread kernel to be release (I think).
What is it you want Android 2.3 for?, or is it simply because its latest version for phone and you like sense?

nexus 4.3 aren't too bad either, although the difference between 4.2.2 and 4.3 nearly doesn't exist... If you care about the data usage indicator just stick with the 4.2.2 nexus mentioned
