System full - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I keep getting system full issues
I have to delete apps to even be able to update other apps
So I ask is there a way to increase the size of the system partition
To keep this from happening

Try clean master from Google play

Why don't you go into the App manager and sort everything by size and then buy a huge micro sdxc card, then just move all your big apps to the card? I have something like 400+ apps and 40+ gb of music and plenty of room

Want to root.
Hi there,
I'm trying to root my note 3 This is what i am running on at the moment.
AP: N9005XXUDMJ7
CP : N9005XXUDMJ7
CSC: N9005PHNDMJ4
I think odin doesn't seem to see my phone because it has a write protection. Is there anyway to overcome this? And still be able to root?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Used wrong odin version. xD

[Q] Can't move my apps to a sd card

Hey
So I installed the newest official Samsung firmware which was suppose to allow moving my apps to my sd card. When I go to my apps I can see tge button that says "move to sd card". When I press it the app goes from the phones internal memory to the so called internal sd card which is the same in all s4's instead of the "extSdCard" what is the actual sd card I have.
Why those apps doesn't really go to the sd card and why would Samsung hype this newest update with that feature when it doesn't even work.

Try using "DIRECTORY BIND"...
Its a third party app... Probably the only app that would actually do what u want...
Good luck!

I know about directory mounting/folder syncing, but I'd really like to know if others have the same problem or is it just me? I'm going to ask about this from Samsung since they probably know better why they lied about this app2sd feature.

some apps do not support app 2 sd i.e : whatsapp antutu etc... its how it works.... im sure things will get better with newer android updates
Its moves the app only, not the data files.
If you still want to move the files, use foldermount.
Directory bind doesnt work anymore. Only foldermount has a patch to work around it.

No, it doesn't even move the apps. I just said that in the first post. They just go to the internal "sd card" intead of the "extSdCard". I tried with every one of my apps so it's not about some apps not supporting app2sd.

It's not about not supporting if it didn't support it the move to sd card button wouldn't have been highlighted so you are correct
I noticed the to get around I use folder mount to link large folders +(1gb)
I also have a second partition on my sd which I used in my last device for linking its only 1gb though but u can try that to if you like

same problem
I just got my samsung galaxy s4 (GT-I9500) but it seems that it is impossible to move apps on SD card.
Android Version: 4.2.2
Baseband Version: I9500XXUAMDK
Build Number: JDQ39.I9500XXUAMDK
I also read some forums and learned that samsung already addressed this issue by making the upgrade or updates but unfortunately my phone is up-to-date already.
Can somebody please tell me when does the said update will come out here in Philippines? I believe there's a lot of S4 users who also has this trouble as our phones int. memory gets lower and lower. :crying:
thanks
The update will not save you much of any space, so I'm a bit surprised that people are still so fixated on it.

Is working exactly as it should. Only the apk is moved. The bulk of the space is consumed by the app's data, which is not supposed the be moved by this "feature."

The partition isn't changed when flashing ROMs, so the xGig set aside for /system will remain the same. At present there isn't a simplified way to do this (if any?), without extreme risk of bricking your phone.

Hope you are rooted. If Yes, you can flash extsd2internalsd mod by mattiadj. It needs a supporting kernel like perseus... You can search and find the mod in xda note 2 forum

Get redpill kernel better than mode , as you can go back simply with simple click

As far I know swap is not successful on 4.3 yet. I am using Folder Mount to transfer app data from internal to ext SD.It works

why you wanna swap in 4.3 ? as i know you can move 2 SD , not like 4.1.2 thats why we go for int/ext swap

it's very useful using int/ext swap. because when i flash with different custom ROM, i just restore all apps from titanium backup, and all apps installed to ext sdcard. in 4.3, i have to run move 2 sd for each one by one apps every time i change to different rom..

How to move entire apps to SD card.

Hi all!
I would like to move huge apps to my SD card now that I am rooted. (Forget the class number but it's high and it's a 16gb model)
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53428200&postcount=1
I downloaded the app off of the play store. When I go to any APP2SD app it still says my device is not supported. How do I go about doing this?
Check out "SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD"

But you have to be rooted first for it to work. You're welcome. ??

I know I said I installed that!!!!
What do I do after that? The APP2SD apps still won't move my apps to my sd card.
Had to remove your link to google play it wouldn't let me post it lol.
If by huge apps you mean games that have obb files, try foldermount..works for me.

so I used this app and when I rebooted the Galaxy S5 boot screen showed the lock icon (unlocked) with "Custom" written underneath it. don't suppose that's anything to be concerned about?

I tried using the app to mount the AC4 game/map browser. I'm not sure what it did but it didn't take it off internal storage.
I'm still looking for a way. For example the ACiV app only moves about 40 of the 200 mb. Those root app 2 sd cards don't seem to work.

Always asks for default launcher

I just updated to 4.4.2 [Note 3 n9005] UK firmware from SamMobile and rooted using CF-AutoRoot
Now, my problem is when ever i reboot my device it asks for Launcher.
I have also set TouchWiz Home as default Launcher in settings but.
Try using another launcher (set it as default) and freeze the default launcher with Titanium Backup and see if that problem exists. And another thing; When it asks you to select a default launcher, do you select always?

Do you use SD Card? If yes try formatting it after you copy all the files to your pc and slowly copy the files again to find a corrupted file/app. Maybe that file is the reason of this. If you cant find any corrupted files on your card try factory reset.

Still a new app you installed or a file can cause a problem. Also try freezing some apps(preferably recently installed ones) with Titanium Backup and check if issue still persists. If yes, i think best choice is factory reset.

In addition to previous post - Make sure you know what you are freezing and be sure that this app is not vital resource to Android, otherwise you may end up in a bootloop.
