Install Android market via adb - Nook Touch General

Hi everybody
Apologies if this is already somewhere on the forum but I could not find it.
I have rooted my nook using nookmanager. Is there a way to install apps now without needing anything else? From what I read I need to install NTGAppsAttack. The problem is that I currently don't have access to any SD card. Is there a way to install it using ADB ? or any other way to install applications?
Note: when I tried the amazon appstore it told me that it was not available on my region :/
Thank you!

Look at the NTGAppsAttack install script. You can emulate what its doing by manually renaming & pushing the files with ADB. You can also install .apk files via ADB without installing the market.

[Q] Installing Market to Nook Touch

I have rooted my Nook Touch and found I could not search market. I read several articles and attemped to get Market to search. In the process I removed the vending.apk (with adb) and attemped to install a new market that reportely was working with the Touch.
This prompted several errors and finally installed the new Market, however the Market would not run, only allowing the credit/accept page then returned to the main menu. I have uninstalled/attempted to install via ADB and also used Push with no suscess.
Apparently I am missing some step and now need all the advice I can get
THANKS!

This is a working version of market: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15084704&postcount=51. I just install it over the one that comes with TouchNooter after I've TouchNootered the nook. I copy the vending.apk from my computer to a download directory on my SD card and then, using Root Explorer to access it on my Nook Touch, install it. Works a charm. HTH.
That was the answer! THanks
Hi
my market dont work, and i have not root explorer& file manager
how install apps & market ?
Access market on your computer (PC/Mac/Linux), choose programs, and then enter market. The programs you downloaded on the computer will be downloaded to the nook.
I can't access the Market site; it complains that I don't have any devices registers and tells me to start with the device first :/

Jago, It seems Google has blocked the nook from being able to access the market, from PC. Read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1294723&highlight=android+market

Can't install drivers

Sorry for the noob question but I haven't been able to figure this out. I just bought my son a Nook Color and I'm trying to root it. I can't get the drivers to install. I already have ADB installed from when I rooted my Kindle Fire. Every time I plug in the Nook, Windows installed the drivers automatically. I tried manually updating but it always says the best driver is installed. I tried some of the batch files other people created but nothing has worked. Any help would be appreciated. I hate being locked down.

Just a question why do you even need to install the drivers? They are not needed for root and then after you root you can use wireless adb which is a lot easier to set up and use.

Thanks for the reply. I basically just want the amazon app store. The Nook app store sucks. I was following some directions I found. I'll try some other methods.

If you just want to installthe Amazon app, then why you head into the ADB over USB thingy? Who lead you through that way?
I can help but it's irrelevant to get the Amazon app install and running.

[Q] How to sideload apps without rooting or using a file manager app

Hey guys,
I've searched high and low in this forum and others for a solution to my problem, I have been unable to find one. I'm looking for a way to sideload apps onto a Kindle Fire so that, after the third party app has been installed, I can clear the Launcher data and the next time I start the device it boots to the setup and welcome screens like the very first boot.
The reason I want to avoid rooting or having to download a file manager app to the device is that I am planning to create a script for the process.
Any advice or links to a helpful guide?

Now I'm confused, on the Android Forums you said it was so you could give it to someone as a gift and you wanted to give them the "first-time use" experience. I really don't see anyone needing a script for something like this but I may be wrong.
It's more of a fun project for me than anything else, a Kindle Fire loaded with apps makes for a great and affordable gift and I have other family members who I intend to give the Kindle Fire to as a gift. But I don't want them to feel as though I've been mucking with it

I completely understand, I still think the easiest way would be to just use ES file explorer, or something similar, to install them and then just delete the app. Maybe someone here will have a different idea.
I may be confused, but couldn't youbjust build a rom with the apps loaded in and flash it?

Perhaps. Can you link me to any guides on this?
Are you trying to make a script that will be run on a computer or on the Fire itself? If you're running the script on an actual device (terminal emulator, gscript, etc):
Code:
pm install /path/to/file.apk
In that case the .apk will need to be copied onto the device first. If you're running a script from a computer and have the device plugged in via USB you can use:
Code:
adb install /path/to/file.apk
...and for that one the .apk needs to be on your computer somewhere. I know 'adb install' doesn't require root. I don't remember if 'pm install' does, but I think it doesn't. Either way, you just need to get a copy of the .apks you want to install.
Cant you just reset the device to factory defaults from the settings?

That gets rid of your apps as well.

I don't have any experience using adb, but I'll start looking into it.

[Q] Help, can't install apps whatever I do

Hello. I'm new here, and I'm not sure if this post goes here or in the Apps subforum. If I'm mistaken please forgive me.
I rooted my Nook Touch and I followed some instructions to make the Market app work. But it doesn't search anything so I can't install anything.
I need at least an app to access the filesystem from the PC, or the app "SearchMarket" so I can properly use the Market to install things.
I've tried a lot of things but nothing had worked:
Install SearchMarket from play.google.com and send it to my Nook -> Nothing happens to me.
Install from the PC -> I've read various guides but I can't never connect my Nook to the PC that way, the USB drivers never works.
Install Opera and install apk from there -> I install Opera, but as soon as I launch it, it crashes.
¿A way to install apps, please? I'm desperate here, as nothing I've tried have worked.
I'm not a completely noob, I've root several devices and I know about computers. I'm just new here and for some reason I can't get the guides I read to work.
Thanks in advance.
::::::::::::::::::::::::EDIT::::::::::::::::::::::::
OK, finally managed to install SearchMarket!!!
Now I need to access file system from PC to modify the internal dictionary, because I want to change the language... how can I do that? Thanks!
::::::::::::::::::::::::EDIT2::::::::::::::::::::::::
I guess ES Explorer will do the trick. Thanks anyway xD

No free space for any 3d party app after root

Hello.I just wanted to install some apk files, but nook simple touch glowlight tell that there is no free space.
Believe me, there is some free space there . How can I solve this?
Um, there is a solution/reason for this that has been posted here.
This does not happen if you just install with adb install (which I always do).

Hi I just can't run ADB via wifi or USB, so I leave the ADB idea. Will be great if you have a link with a solution
