Today, I decided to root my brand new note 3. I rooted it using kingo shortly after i installed wanam exposed. Customized the things i wanted rebooted. Everything worked when i was done i shut down my phone to watch anchorman 2. When i turned it on i got the error "Unfortunately, System Ui has stopped". At this point im not sure what to do ?
Sounds to me like something was corrupt you may have to start over and Odin the .tar file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483380

I have some problems with my device, almost all applications are crashing: 'unfortunately the app stopped working' and sometimes it hot reboots by itself. The problem dissapers if i go in safe mode, i can download apps from play store, but when I reboot in normal mode and want to launch the app that I download it crashes again. I tried using the stock 4.3, 4 custom roms, different kernels, but the issue is still present, the phone is practically useless, I can only make phone calls on him..., everything else crashes. The problem is that I can't RMA ,because I bought the phone second hand.and doesn';t have warranty
and have you tried wiping data and running without any installed apps? then install one app at a time.. it sounds like it can be an issue with something that you installed.
Try downloading a stock rom, kernel, and IMG and flashing that. Sometimes stock fixes everything

Yes, I wiped everything in recovery ,even system too. After I log in in my google account everything starts to crash, gapps, UI, android keyboard etc. I tried making a new google account ,but nothing works, sometimes the play store works ,but I can;t download files larger than 4-5 mb, because at the end it says package file is invalid. In safe mode workes fine.
Sounds like you have the wrong gapps file. Or a corrupted one. Try a newer version.

I would like to know too! Running SACS V8. Have no desire to update. Would like to know how / where to remove the update from the phone.
freeze SprintID
Well, as far as I know, if you are running a custom recovery (twrp, cwm, etc.) you can click to update. However it will fail because of the custom recovery and should stop bugging you about the update.
I also believe there is a way using root explorer you can delete a certain file, then when you click to update nothing runs. That though you'd have to search for more details.

First I froze fwupdate.apk using Titanium Backup like most threads say to. I think that only prevents it from downloading, but if the update file has already been downloaded, then you'll continue to get notifications.
I then deleted the actual update file from the \cache folder. Still shows under Notification.
So then I removed Notifications from the actual app that displays it - called Google Services (or something like that - don't have phone with me so can't look right now - but you can long-press on the notification to get App Info, then go in and remove Notifications).
Edit: Apparently you don't have to remove all notifications from Google Services, just clear the cache. Btw, my phone is rooted and I had already removed SprintDM.apk and ALL other Sprint related stuff (SprintID, etc) and it still downloaded the update and prompted me.
I woke up on Fri with the update icon on my phone . I'm on mf9 and not ready to update just yet.
This is what I did to get rid of the update notification.
Using root exp go into etc/security/and change otacerts.zip to otacerts.zip.bat
Then go to system/app/and change SprintDM.apk to SprintDM.apk.bak
I then went into recovery and wiped delvik and cache then rebooted
When it rebooted the icon was still there so I restarted the phone and after it rebooted the icon was gone.

Long press it in the notification tray and then tap "app info" after that uncheck show in notifications.

So I got the update notification again! I had already removed SprintID long ago (and all other Sprint apps) and frozen fwupdate.apk.
Somehow my phone still downloaded the update zip again. I can only think it has to do with one of the Samsung apps which I kept.
Anyways, decided to go into system/build.props and change all the MF9 to MFA. Let's see what happens now. Going to keep Google Services Framework notification on to test.
Well, I changed the build.props file and it cold rebooted fine to the lockscreen but once I enter my pattern code, the screen seems to go completely blank. I have to press the power button twice to go back to the lock screen again. Seems it doesn't like you changing MF9 to MFA in the build.props file!!!!!
Now how to change it back without having to do a restore.....can't see anything or do anything within the phone app itself since screen is blanked out. Any ideas anyone?
Edit: Nevermind, a hard shut down and reboot seems to have fixed whatever glitch that was. Odd....
Fotakill.apk, that worked for me when I was on MDL
Don't know if it works on MF9.
Any ideas to make Wanam work again?

Are you running Wanam to dissable staus on "stock" rom? (Not on the rom within the ss rom slot)

Yes I am running Wanam to disable the status on a stock rom.

There was a few of us in the main update thread this happened to.. wasn't because of safestrap for me but it seemed after reinstalling Adaway and doing some other /system stuff the icon and custom status came back and would not go away.. only thing I can suggest after uninstalling framework/wanam, reboot, reinstalling the framework, reboot, reinstall/toggle wanam, reboot, multiple times toggling the options in the app and rebooting (regular/ and soft reboot) it finally stuck for me dont know what it was that finally got it, but I feel your pain cause it pissed me off the past two days

What sucks is you know wanam is working because at least for me the notification mods were working like NFC icon removed and clock and stuff.. just the status wasnt sticking... took me forever but it did take eventually
I've done it like 30 times no luck. I think I'm just going to let it be.

This is not a troll question...
I've seen lots of folks worried about the "open lock" icon on boot. Why does this matter, unless you are requesting service/replacement of your device?
Is this a separate indicator from the Knox "0x0" that shows in download mode?

Exactly what you said, for warranty and also just OCD for some of us yes its seperate it shows in the Settings>Status screen as well as the boot screen instead of Official it will say "Custom" (Wanam removes the icon and sets the status to Official)
You don't have to uninstall.... just re-install the framework and it should be back up.

Today, I rooted my note 3 with kingo. Then i installed wanam exposed successfully. Shortly after i shut off my phone, when i booted it i got an error of "unfortunately, System ui has stopped". I was going to unroot my phone but was not able to allot this computer. Not sure what to do
You might have to Odin the .tar file and start over . Sounds like something was corrupt. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483380

Hey guys was just wondering, I'm running Xnote v12, I use the showbox app all the time and while it use to work perfectly before suddently out of nowhere for some unknown reason everytime I try to open the app it just crashes.
Upon opening the app its giving the "Unfortunately Showbox has stopped" error message.
Is there any way I could find out what it is as it was working absolutely perfectly before and now it just doesn't?
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've tried restoring from a titanium backup, same result.

I'm getting the same thing. I have installed the app on Blue Stacks on my PC and on my wife's note 3 and it works without issue. I have wiped my phone, multiple times and re-installed the ROM. Still nothing. I don't get it.
It's not working for me either. I cleared data then reopened the app & it told me there was an update. When I tapped update it crashed again.

yea i am having the same issue on my note 3 n9005
it was working fine and then suddenly when i open it it says "unfortunately showbox has stropped"
i tried almost everything , i wiped app data / reinstalled , wiped phone , nothing helped
my friend has an s4 mini and its working fine for her
Edit : i disabled ad block and now it works
Has there been a fix for this yet? I have an asus memo pad me572c. And I also keep getting the unfortunately showbox has stopped error. It used to work flawlessly though. I tried clearing the data and cache. Still doesn't work.
