Hi everybody!
I was inspired by this post, so I just put some lines together and created this page:

What it does is simply check against http://fuas.sonymobile.com and retrieve the latest firmware version for your Xperia mobile phone.
You have to insert your own customization id/number to check if there's a new firmware available for you.
This page can be bookmarked with your own model and custom number.
I've recently added a check routine for the Xperia Z1. Tell me if you like it.

Customization Number question
Do you know how to find the original customization number? I'm probably on a different FTF than I started and I'd like to see if there's a new update for the actual customization from my phone. Thanks!

Undecim, look at the ftf mega collection. At the end of the ftf names you find the Customization Version.

C6902 is HSPA+ while C6903 is LTE.
I need the IMEI of a C6902 (or at least the first 8 digits) and a valid customization number to check for the correct firmware.
Unfortunately I don't have a C6902 to check this out. You can give me these numbers to me via PM (if you trust me) and I'll add it to the list.

I tried to download it from sony developpers website, and a strange thing happened :
the link for the build 14.2.A.1.142 redirect users to the build 14.2.A.1.136.
And for information, the build 14.2.A.1.144 has been certified by Sony, according to the site PTCRB.

In Sweden.I didi it by myself througt Pc companion.First I flashed ftf through flash tool then ,updated by pc companion
I have to check instructions. Any downside in using this method?

is it possible to grab system file like frameworks and etc from .ftf file? i mean like what get from System Dump?

D6503 is LTE and D6502 os HSPA version.

DO NOT FLASH IF YOU HAVE THE TAIWAN Z2! It will not read the SIM! Make sure you get the TW version once that comes out! I had to learn the hard way and flash back to the original TW ROM!
So is there an FTF for D6503 floating around? I see screenshots, but only an FTF for D6502.

Update: Installed this and it works fine on the Z2 I got from Taiwan. You will have to reconfigure your APN settings even if you didn't do a wipe when installing this ROM. After about 30 minutes of usage I did notice some positive changes:
- The touchscreen sensitivity has improved
- Touch to focus works a lot better (it barely worked on the previous ROM)
- Safari is snappier oops wrong phone
Quick question guys, do xperia phones get otas regularly or do most updates come via the Sony PC software and have to be installed manually. Got a HTC one just now and kinda unfamiliar with the whole process with Sony. If anyone could explain it quickly that would be appreciated.

Depends where you are in the world and what carrier(if any) you have
Z2 ships with kitkat 4.4.2 at the moment......maybe 4.4.3 in some places after the rumoured delay.
Flashtool is your friend if you cant wait for sony to issue OTA's

This is official release, download by Sony Update then convert in Flashtool to flashable format.
You can search KitKat bug thread in general selection.

Yes, I will upload. Just updating my root guide to accommodate this firmware version. Give me a couple of hours for my terrible internet to upload it lol.

Hello mates.
Today a new firmware started to roll out on some Vodafone Carriers, it's the V10C version.
For now the only change i've noticed is that "Slow Camera" option is now available in camera modes, awesome!
Best regards all, and share all the info you can get from this new firmware.
So this is DIFFERENT from the 10b =10c (carrier) firmware? Stagefright fixed? Or is it just Vodafone being slow?

No man, it's actually Vodafone being the faster. V10C never was available for H815 Internacional. It started on V10a then V10b, and now V10c came up today.

I updated my phone by LG Bridge so i don't know nothing about changelog. The only new thing i noticed for now was the "Slow Motion" filming in camera options.
