Does anyone know if its possible to get a custom lock screen that will show the full content of a notification, instead of just a part of it? like when a message is received instead of the first few words, it would display the whole message.. or is it possible to mod the default Samsung lock screen to show more in its preview?

dumb question, CM6 has an option for a welcome message on the vanilla lock screen, and this is one small thing I miss when going back to other roms. Does anyone know how to do it easily if not on CM6?
i am not a CM user so can you get a screen shot of what you mean? i knwo there was a guide poste at one point for changing the Sprint message ont he lock screen to what ever you like is that what you mean?

its different from changing the sprint banner, there is an option under security for custom lock screen message, and its a custom message shown under the time and date on the vanilla lock screen

First android tablet. I changed the default lock screen image with an image I found online. Then I decided that I wanted to revert back to the default image, but it's no longer giving me that option. Instead of asking me to choose from either wallpaper or live wallpaper, it only has a blank, black screen that reads "there are no images available." How doI get it back to normal?
I posted this over in the general GS4 Q&A forum in the relevant thread, but I haven't gotten a response. I figured I'd ask here in a new post in the hopes that someone will read it. This is a copy and paste job, which is why the beginning and the edit seem out of context:
Hey guys. I am an N4 user, but I just bought my girlfriend a GS4. She's discovered a problem that I can't find an answer to.
Is there a way to have text messages preview ONLY in the status bar and notifications? It is very useful to have the preview of the message in the status bar and expanded notifications. However, it seems that the only way to enable this is to simultaneously enable the preview on the lock screen. Even with a secure lock screen, the preview of the message is still there. It seems odd for the control for two completely severable features to be bundled together in this manner. This creates a completely unnecessary compromise between convenience and security. Not to mention that even with the preview option turned off, a message identifying the sender still shows up on even a secure lock screen. I am thinking that I must be missing something in the widgets options, and I can remove this text "widget" (which is exactly what it is in practice) completely from the lock screen without sacrificing the convenience of previewing the message through the status bar and expanded notifications.
So, any advice? I'm guessing switching to a third-party messaging app might work, but I (and she) heavily prefer the stock messaging apps. I am looking to avoid this and simply find a solution while still allowing for the stock messaging app. I am going to try Lockscreen Policy in a few, and I'll report back on that. The idea came to me while typing this up.
EDIT: Looks like Lockscreen Policy did the trick. The message still previews in the status bar on the lock screen, but the text message widget that was the major problem is now gone. Unfortunately this trick prevents access to all other lock screen widgets.
It seems like the official Nougat builds are really horrible when it comes to notifications. I no longer have the option to turn on the display when receiving a notification, which is huge. But on top of that, I don't seem to get any notifications on the lock screen at all, or "heads up" notifications (the notifications that drop down from the top of the screen while it's on temporarily). Am I wrong? Have others gotten this stuff working? I am on AL10.
Well I got lock screen stuff going, it was just defaulting to disabled. But there seems to be no option to wake the display for notifications.

Hi,
I have NXT-AL10. Just got the phone 2 days back and I installed Android Nougat 7.0 directly from Huawei using Huawei ID.
I found a setting that may be the one or at least close to it.I also checked if the notification is displaying on the lock screen and it does. I have attached the screenshots.
When I unlock the phone and check the notifications they are there until I swipe them out. They are displayed beautifully. Unfortunately taking screenshot of that was bit difficult as the knuckle thing didn't work so well. I managed to get these. Hope this is what you are looking for.

I had an issue similar to this on 6.0, it was an issue with themes. Do you have anything under the screen lock style menu, under screen lock and passwords? I have a feeling thats my issue.

Hi,
I checked under screen lock and passwords
options listed are
password, secure lock settings , smart unlock - under the subheading of "passwords"
under "lock screen"
screen lock style, magazine unlock and lock screen signature
under screen lock style
it just displays magazine unlock and when you click that it displays the same wallpaper and asks to apply.
under "magazine unlock settings"
subscriptons, auto-update over WLAN and auto-delete covers
There is a separate application called "Themes" and it shows all the themes. They all look alike but there is no download or edit options available. Even if we want to change or edit those themes, it seems like root is required. Are you rooted?
I have enclosed more screenshots to explain better. Hope you find what you are looking for, if I missed something please let me know if you want screenshot of any other menu or screen.

Guys I really wanted to choose which apps show the content on the lock screen. Like for example the music all app controllers. But that is just achieved by enabling all notifications in lock screen. Well then I thought maybe I can go to wassap notifications menu to do not show on the lock screen, but there is no option in the app, as shown in some other oreo apps where there they have in notifications part to not show in lock screen, nor in any other pref. I'm not sure if it's because this is the oreo version of the s5 or why. Also I chickened to install the android pie.
Any app, tweak? Or something? Thanks in advance.
