The blutooth functions intermittently.
the 2 symptoms:
- even though shows still connected the audio gets rerouted to audio speakers (very rare). It only happened to me when I stopped say listening to music and another application would start to make use of the sound.
- very often however, the blutooth audio just stops. the settings still show connected, my app will show 'playing' but no audio on blutooth headset. I am mostly using poweramp and tunein radio.
the bt headset is the LG HBS700. Rebooting the phone always fixes this.
Is there any way to troubleshoot this?
many thanks,
I have my N4 Bluetooth set up to my car. When I start my car, and Bluetooth kicks in, Google Music automatically starts playing songs. I don't listen to music via Bluetooth, but my device is sending the signal, evidently. I've tried to find a way to keep Google Music from automatically doing this when Bluetooth connects, but cannot find anything. Any ideas?

I'm looking for a way to make mine do what yours is doing. I'm on a Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.2.2 and just want my music to start automatically when I get into my car instead of having to unlock phone, fire up google music, and hit shuffle all every time I get in. There are a couple apps that will launch Play Music but the music doesn't start playing. I need to try hitting NEXT on my car stereo and see if it makes it start playing.
I used to get ambushed with music automatically starting a couple of phones ago so I wound up using Tasker to simulate media button presses.
That sorted it for me and may be worth a try for both of you.
I think it's dependent upon your car. I've got Ford with Sync and buried somewhere in the menus is a bluetooth "autoplay" option - try disabling that (or enabling... depending on what you're looking for, of course)
My N4 does this in my Mazda 3. I absolutely HATE it. Any luck on a solution?
Like previous poster said, disable autoplay feature in car's bluetooth settings
I don't have that option on my car.

This is not true. I have this happen with my Nexus 4 on stock 4.3 in THREE separate cars.
Is there seriously no solution to this? Does anybody even have any idea what causes this problem?
For me, its Fusion music player. But if I uninstall that, then it defaults to Google Music.
I am using PAC MAN rom and KT kernal..
Bluetooth calls seem to be having an issue..suddenly the audio stops (some times after 5 - 10 mins) but I see the phone n car still connected...anyone has the issue?? This doesn't seem to happen when I connect to the charger..
noticed the similar behavior with music app and bluetooth headset. music stops coming from the headset after 10 mins or so but the bluetooth seems to be connected and the timer on the audio keeps moving...
Hi i use bluetooth in the car I have the phone connected to a 3.5mm bluetooth receiver and the built in hands free in the car.
I only switch bluetooth on in the car.
Noticed today that my battery was going quite quick and checked the wake locks.
Shows bluetooth_timer and I think a couple of others. Even though I had disabled bluetooth from the notification bar.
I then tried playing a video from the Android central app and noticed the audio was defaulting to bluetooth (despite being disabled)
Used YouTube and again audio being sent to bluetooth, YouTube app gave me the option to change to speaker.
Had to reboot my phone for it to stop thinking the bluetooth was an option for the output.
Any one else with experience of this ?

Hello.
I am using my S4 in car.
It connects at same time to my car hands free (Audi MMI) with Call Audio profile and it connects to my A2DP Music receiver (connected to my car IPOD cable) using A2DP profile.
This dongle supports also Call Audio profile but I have paired it using only A2DP.
Connections are good and phone always connect to both without connection issues.
Sometimes (often) when it is connected to both devices, music and sound stop playing (the player is going on with playing and with time counter but I can't hear any sound from car or from phone speaker).
If I disconnect car hands free, music starts playing from car audio speakers.
If I reconnect car hands free again, music stops playing.
When this happen, the only way I found to solve is to restart the phone and then all is ok (phone hands free and music streaming).
I have the problem with 4.3 but it was the same also with previuos 4.2.2 android version.
I think it is a phone problem since restarting always solve it.
Someone had the same problem or has any advice?
Thank you
Chris
