[Q] Is 180 degrees rotation possible with phone apk? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Because the bottom half of my screen is broken (the touch part) I cannot recieve any calls because the "pick-up-button" is on the broken part of the screen. I would like to know whether there is a phone apk that is modified that allows 180 degrees rotation so that I can pick up the phone when someone is calling me.
I'm on Cataclysm 4.4.2 if that's any help.
Cheers

You can use gravity box and enable all rotations in display tweaks

Thanks!, but unfortunately this did not work. When I'm being called, the phone apk overrules the orientation settings.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10,1 always on landscape

Hello,
On my screen rotation 0,2700 & 90 degree rotations are ticked but Canogenmod is only displaying the settings and lock screen in portrait (after unlock it goes back to landscape) mode.
I've even turned auto rotation off, but that fixes everything just to landscape.
Any fix for this guys?
Thanks
You could install Ultimate Rotation Control from the Play Store or its donate version and lock it in landscape...easiest way I've found

Thanks, I've fixed the issue, it was some misconception about the angle, I thought portrait mode is 0 degree whereas the landscape mode is

[Q] Density changes & Xposed Framework

Hello all.
I've switched my build.prop density from the default (480?) to 320. It's soo much nicer being able to see more on screen at once. An irritating side effect though is (unlike with other ROMs) the lock screen pattern is teeny tiny now and also the view when the S-Cover is closed isn't centered.
I could revert my density change but I'd rather fix this on a per app basis. Has anyone tried the Xposed framework out to achieve this? On other ROMs or on an S4?
Thanks.
How does other apps scale? Dialer, contacts, clock, side bar.

Dialer also looks gash. I've worked around that using Swipe Dialer https://play.google.com/store/apps/...?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5tYi5zd2lwZWRpYWwiXQ..

Great news: I have an answer. NO. Do NOT use this yet. I installed a rebooted and am in a bootloop, unable to adb shell or disable file verification in my stock recovery. In short, I've soft bricked the thing and have no way of fixing yet.
Any one have any ideas?
flash Xposed-Disabler-CWM.zip
If got bootloop after Xposed

[Q] Camera auto-rotating some pictures, how do i fix it?

Using stock android on my Galaxy Note 3, the camera app is rotating pictures that i do not want it to.
The best example i can give is the following:
The two pictures here are screenshots of them in the gallery. They are the exact same picture, one taken a little bit closer to the page than the other one, yet one of them was rotated in landscape mode.
Picture 1 is how i want the pictures to turn out (fill the screen)
Picture 2 is how i do not want them to turn up (so much black on the screen)
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Dion.

I probably should have said i tried with auto rotate off and auto rotate on.
It makes no difference, it seems like the camera does it at random.

Perhaps using a different camera app? Camera FV-5 is a daily driver for me.

Brightness in Profile settings

I mainly use cm roms in my E610 phone. You can fine adapt every aspect of the phone using profiles, but you can't change brightness. It would be very useful, if i select profile i.e. 'outside', i propably need more brightness than in profile 'night'.
Or am i missing something? I 'd be very happy if there is a workaround.

whats wrong with automatic brightness ?
it adjusts the brightness depending on conditions the phone is in
Automatic brigthness doesn't work on my E610 too. I'm on CM11.
I think this phone doesn't have that feature.
Why don't you try the status bar brightness control?, it's a easy way to quickly change screen brightness.
Regards.
Our phone doesn't support automatic brightness.
Slide upper screen limit is what I do, but I thought it would be useful brightness to be included in profiling. Just an idea.

how about battery saving app ?
like http://download-androidapkfiles.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/brightness-manager-root-1102-full-apk.html
or
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ijinshan.kbatterydoctor_en&hl=en
they are/have a kind of profiles called triggers
I'm using Screen Brightness app from Play Store. It has few options to config, e.g. you can put app to notification bar or/and set 5leveled switch. It's nice app, you should try it too

[Q] Ambient display on the Note 4

Hello,
Is it possible to have ambient display working on the Note 4 like the Nexus 6 just by picking it up or when a notification arrives ?
yup. enable it from the hidden air gesture menu using the app. no rooting required.
Cool thanks, and does it affect the battery life ?

I don't have such menu!! Where should I look for it??????
What app?????
It's not in the recent release. It's missing. It should be under the display and wallpaper menu in the settings screen above the daydream option. You can use alternative apps from play store such as acDisplay or dynamicnotifications - they are more like the moto x (2014) version of ambient display so won't be the same as what you'll get on nexus 6 or in cm12. I'm guessing they'll release it in a future update which I hope is sooner rather than later. The lollipop release for note 4 had been somewhat delayed for one reason or another. There's also a bug on the priority notifications where you can't set a time period for auto selection of priority notifications as you would have in blocking mode. I'm hoping that is resolved in a future update too.

Seems like the coding is there but I'm guessing the ui implementation could be one of the bugs that they're supposedly working on. Hope three rollout of lollipop starts again soon and that these issues are rectified.
