The Kindle app keeps force closing on me. I am running cm 11 with the most recent nightly. The app hasn't been working for a few days. I tried wiping cache and did a full wipe and reinstalled cm. I tried clearing app data and opening app with privacy guard on and off. Anyone else having problems or have a solution? The app works on cm 11 on my n4 us 4.

Starting for me last night with an update to the app...if you go to the Play Store and check out the reviews..there are few others out there also having the same issue....
UPDATE: I uninstalled the updated Kindle App...located the previous versions APK and it works. They obviously f'd it up...
Its a bug in the app not allowing it to run in Kitkat
Any updates on this getting fixed? The Amazon Appstore is doing the same thing for me now too.

Change your device id to a Nexus 7, and the apps work. Amazon clearly will not allow a kindle fire to run with full Android. Check out twa_priv's cm11 rom thread for a link to a zip file that changes the kindle id. Run it in twrp. It is the 3 or 4 post.

Spotify doesn’t work perfectly, sadly. Usable with tweaks.

I just received my Kindle Fire for Christmas and was able to load spotify, but not via the Amazon App Store. I had to change the Fire device setting to allow it to install apps from unknown sources, then went to Spotify.com to download the app. Once I did that, it installed and I was able to long into my account and play my Music. At first after I downloaded the app, I couldn't figure out how to find the downloaded file, so I want to the app store and downloaded a file explorer app. Once I had that, I clicked on sd card folder I found, and then downloads folder. Someone with more knowledge probably knows an easier way, but I am just beginning to explore the device and what it can do and that is how I solved it.

I also didn't have to do any additional tweaking...the app worked fine for me on mu unrooted Fire.

Could you send a link to the page on the spotify website where you downloaded the app? I searched all over and it kept telling me to open up Aneroid Market. Ty.

Nevermind. I found it. Definitely not perfect but I would hope they are working on a KF version. Thanks for the help everyone.

I've already searched the internet and forums and can't find a answer to my problem. Whenever I try to buy a paid app using my $25 Google play credits, it gives me an error that says "Error, your order could not be processed" on every paid app I try to download. Any advice? Anyone else having the same issue?
Try clearing app cache?

Are you rooted? Have you updated SU binaries and installed BusyBox?
I've noticed sometimes after a fresh root if I haven't updated SU and Busy Box I can't purchase apps from the play store.

Nope, I'm not rooted. Yet but I'll try clearing the app cache and go from there.
Googles servers could have been buggy in your area. Could be simple like restarting or yeah clearing cache. Or try downloading with one of your other devices see if it's secluded to only your device.
Try buying from the play store on your computer

thats the app build number, not android version. try clearing the data for the play store.
How can I fix this. I've tried clearing data, reinstalling disabling developer options, and nothing works. What can I do? I'd like to read my Python Programming Book...

The problem is the Kindle App crashes. Would their appstore fix it? If you have a link private message it to me.

That's why you need to go to the link and install the last official Amazon app build. There are three apks there. Appstore, Kindle apk and Amazon MP3 apk.
There is an issue for some with the newer Amazon apks. Until it gets sorted, use the Apk's at the link.
I have been having trouble trying to install softkeyz root apk onto my kindle fire hd 7 running cm11 with maromi kernel. It keeps giving me application not installed error. I have busy box installed.

Well, the SoftKeyz app customises the normal AOSP navbar, but the Kindler's navbar is modified. Maybe that's why it can't be customised with SoftKeyz.

I know i have gotten it to work on omnirom but maybe it had to do with not having cm theming built.
