Can't send audio from WhatsApp - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys after updating to kitkat I found that there is no option to send mp3 files through WhatsApp. We have the option to send audio but when we click on it all we get is option to send recording

Download as manager and search the song you want to send and click on 'share'
With whatsapp

Ok it's working now. I was stupidly trying to send 3 mp3 files at a time, now tried sending 1 by 1 n it worked.
Mods you can close this thread now.

I too am facing the same problem with sending audio files. What do you mean to download as manager?

i may have figured it out
I think it could be the settings on your music downloader, if you set it to download as manager and not direct download (it's in the settings tab of most good downloaders). Also i got a new music player and you can send it from that end, if you select the song, the share otpion appears. Hope it helps

I solved that issue in my Motorola Moto G removing the "Google Play Music" updates.

Please give details.

The work around I used :
I wanted to send a small 'Happy BDay to you' midi file to a friend on his bday.
- used foobar to convert it NeroAAC (.m4a)
- renamed the .m4a to .mp4
WhatsApp thinks its a video and allows you to attach/send it.

But how if i still want to send it directly through whatsapp?

[Q] Google Music Offline Location

Hi Guys,
I have searched the forum for possible answers to my problem, but couldn't find any satisfing answer.
I have uploaded all my music to Google Music, but as I only have 1GB of mobile data in my plan, and no WiFi at work, I decided to save some of my albums on my internal storage, so I can play it offline.
There is an option called "Choose on device music" which when you choose it, saves the files to make them available offline, but the problem is I can't find it anywhere on my device.
I have found possible locations in Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache - this is what google search gave me, but there is nothing in that folder. I have used the ES File Explorer with root roghts, as I thought, maybe its hidden somehow, but the result was exactly the same.
Could anyone pleas help me and tell me where the music stored from Google Music is located? And how does it exactly work? Does it simply download all the files you choose to your storage?
My temporary solution was just simply copying the music from my laptop using the USB cable.
Thanks in advance.
When you pin it to your device you play it right from the Google play music app. There is an option for on device music only in the settings menu, use this when you want to see your downloaded music.

Yes,I know that, but my problem is, I'd I make it available offline then I need to wait for it to download and I'm wondering what it's the location of the downloaded files, because the one that I mentioned in the OP doesn't seem to be right.I'm also suffering it's the music made available offline takes as much since on the device as the same music chipped straight from my pc.

What exactly are you wanting to do? I guess I don't understand why you need to know where its stored. I'm not trying to be a wise guy.

check this path. And musics are randomly numbered.

I would like to remove it when not needed anymore and also other music players can't find those stored albums.

@dany7915: that's exactly what I meant. Thank you for that

How to transfer music via Bluetooth from Stock Music Player ?

Is there an app or something which enables the user to transfer music files via bluetooth from Stock TouchWiz Player ? Or is there a modded touchwiz player which enables this function ?
No 3rd Party music apps. I already know about it. I find Stock player to be the best.
You can get the fine name in stock player and then search for it

I have more than 2000 songs on my phone. Also their file name different than what the actual details of the song are. I know I can use MyFiles to send songs, but is too hard for me to find the correct file.

How to send songs without using a file manager?

I'm using the stock music app and the only way to send music is via the bluetooth option. Cant seem to find a way to share using wifi direct/whatsapp etc. I can do this in the stock app on my S2 ,however? . The share music button on the s4 takes me to group play . Real annoying to find the song in a file manager to send it via another option. Also, yeah I cant send songs via S Beam either. The option doesnt even come up. While the S3 can do it easily...I can only receive music via S beam
No one?
I guess u can send it via your stock music player

The stock music player only gives me the bluetooth option :crying:
Seems to be a dumb oversight by Samsung,if my S2 can do it...

Sending music on the S4

Is it not possible to send music from the stock music player app anymore? I can't S-beam songs to other devices like I would with the s3. When pressing the menu button on the s3 or long pressing on a song a share button would appear which would let me send music, now I get "share music" which launches group play and just let's you play it on another device... only sharing method is via Bluetooth but I want the functionality back to send music via sbeam with the stock music app as it was a feature I used a lot as all my friends and family have s3's..please let me know if I am wrong. I know I can go through a file manager and send a song like that but I'd prefer to do it from the music app as everything is organized
Bump
Anyone please?
I'm looking for answers for this also. Is there a mod zip to unlock this like the hotspot mod?

It's just a Facebook thing. Maybe someone has the answer but all I can think of is out it into the review on Google play asking for that option.
