I reflashed mje with Odin the rooted with kingo.i installed safe strap and did a nandroid right away. After all that was done I installed tibu, but when I went to restore apps there were none to restore. How do I get these apps back? I just did a backup before I did all the other stuff. I went into settings and did the extract from nandroid but it only gave me the first backup I did..it wouldn't give me the latest backup. Any help would be much much appreciated. .
The tibu folder may not be where the app thinks it is. In tibu preferences go to backup folder location:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Which looks like this if it in the right place:
If you dont see a list of your app backups in the window, navigate to it. If that didn't work, let us know. If you can't find it, use a file browser of some kind and search for it so you know where to go inside tibu preferences.

* in which Directory i should paste these files in my NEXUS 7
Kindly help me out Thanks
Edit I just checked root is still intact
if you have created your backup with recovery, just copy the files to sdcard/ and restore with recovery.
Other method is to flash stock rom.
edit: try youtube... there are many tutorials for nandroid backups
I completely messed up my phone thanks to bouncy ball 2.5d for some reason. I tried to dirty flash a stock rom over my original stock rom and recover my phone but it wouldn't work. I did a TWRP backup and a factory reset.
I've drag and dropped my TWRP backup onto my windows machine

I can open them up using 7zip. My questions are:
1) Where would I find my original messages?
2) How should I push to them my new stock ROM?
3) Is there anything else I need to know?
Thanks xda community
If you have titanium backup, keep the backup on phone and use the extract from nandroid option. I believe it's the sms/mms storage that you want to restore.
Sent from my Nexus 7
Hi, so I was trying out a new ROM, but before that I had backed up my entire system (data included) through TWRP.
I tried the new ROM, didn't like it, so I booted into recovery and wiped system + factory reset.
I then flashed ROM + gapps, then restored data from my Nandroid.
After it booted up it's now like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Although all my data is in there, none of the apps are showing up in my launcher. Searching the apps and attempting to download them brings me to an error -24, which basically means I already have the app.
So now I can't do anything with my phone, since I can't reinstall to get the icon back and neither can I launch the app.. Help please?
those arent apps, they are the data for those apps. the apps are in /data/app/, not in your storage.
Oh well, just factory reseted my phone, back to a clean slate. Mods please close this thread, thanks
Is this possible? I'm mostly interested in text messages that would be restored.
I had them all backed up in TitaniumBackup as well, but moving to 4.4 managed to completely erase everything not on my SD card.
Is there a way to restore parts of the backup, so it won't effect the current rom I have?
Also, I was using Clean Rom for 4.3. I wish he was updating it to 4.4, but that's not gonna happen.
Titanium Backup has that option. Go into tibu. In the menu under special backup/restore, it gives an option to extract (restore) from nandroid.

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
That's great info, thanks!
Off the top of your head, do you know which one I need to look for to restore texts?
So I was browsing trough the phone and I noticed that we had IMEI stored in a folder called /mnvm2:0/SC/Pers/
NEED ROOT? sadly yes.
why is this important? I guess u already know
Where our IMEI is stored. I'm going to give you a tiny script that backup these files.
Notice that this won't take long and you're not going to mess something up
http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/57ed06355b267/Imeipull.txt
Download this file and rename it from. Txt to. Sh
Then simply execute the script as root (I prefer root browser.)
But if u wanna backup all the 3 nvm folders feel free to do so.
And if u delete thus files this is how it'll look like
