I'm not sure why this is, but recently I noticed all internet pics showing up pixelated. No matter what ROM or browser I use, they're all showing up like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And when I click on a pic, it gets a little better, but as you can see by the wall, still pixelated:
They just started showing up like this yesterday. Like I said, I've tried several different ROMs and kernels, but all browser pics show up like this. It's like a weird compatibility issue. Anybody else notice this?
Currently on Sacs 4.3 with MF9 firmware and latest KT kernel.

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and I was thinking that it would the best place to ask people's about my problem, hope you can help guys.
If I go straight to the point , when I switch my tablet from portrait to horizontal half the screen shows the wallpaper and the other half is black.
I have auto rotation on and when I browse the web or YouTube I don't get that problem.
What do you think it could be?
I attached 2 pictures to show what happen, and also the same thing happen even with the stock Google wallpapers that came with the tablet.
I appreciate your help guys.

Are you using the stock launcher or did you install one?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
I use the stock launcher and in fact when I use a live wallpaper is all fine.
But when I use a regular wallpaper it gets problematic, even with the stock jelly bean wallpapers.
It seems like a display problem, but there's no setting for that on the tablet.

I get a notification saying a updated version of facebook was downloaded... And then i get this screen to download something... I thought all update went through the playstore... Anyone else have seen this on their Nexus 4?

Seeing this too. A little wary on whether or not I want to install it.
Just found this:

Looks like we're in the clear.

Even so, I can't say I'm happy about Facebook forcing me to update with what ever permissions it chooses.
I can see me uninstalling it very soon...
My coworker had the same thing, only her download froze. Couldn't tell what was going on, so we killed about every app on the phone trying to get it to stop (plus rebooting, uninstalling FB, etc). Finally figured out it was actually doing it thru Downloads, not the Play Store.
That's the straw that broke the FB camel's back for me... uninstalled the app and went back to using the mobile website. I like it better anyways.
Hey guys i picked up an S4 as a treat to myself for my birthday a few days ago and i've noticed that when im in youtube and hit back or whatever i get an ugly black bar like the app isn't fit to screen properly as you'll see from the screenshot that i'll attach.. It's under the status bar
Can someone confirm if this is an app issue or a phone issue? Does this happen to you?
Thanks guys

Its a small youtube bug.....but it doesn't show up always...even I get it....if it bothers you a lot ...try to reinstall the app or update it....it may fix it
the problem is gone in 4.3 i used to have the same thing
What do you mean version 4.3? You talking about the actual software on the phone or the version of the youtube app?
yes it happens too in my phone especially after you watched a video full screen and go back to the portrait mode. annoying.

Everybody have that problem apparently ... google should fix this
I love everything about my s4 except one thing. Have you ever noticed that the S4 camera is like if already had a zoom? I don't know very well how to explain it but when my friends with other devices take a picture from the same point than me, their pics look like more wide, and my pictures look like if they had been zoomed a bit. That bothers me a bit cuz sometimes I don't have enough space for group pictures or any other else and I must step back a little bit more than other to get the same picture.
Does this happens also with your s4 devices? Or I might be the only one experiencing this 'issue'?
Sincerely,
Fernando

The top of my phone just started doing this. I've provided a before and after for reference. The icons are only blurry on the home screen. Tried reverting to stock launcher with no luck. I was recently installing some new apps but nothing that has anything to do with effecting the appearance or notifications. Has anyone seen this before? I have to think it's a software issue rather than hardware.

I don't think this helps you, but maybe it'll help those you can try helping you.
It looks to me like the far left icons (notifications) are pretty much fine, as well as the bluetooth icon. That's really strange.
Also, in order for others to help you better, what is your phone model and rom? Rooted?
Edit: Oh, and that's definitely software, not hardware.
