What's a good lightweight, no bloat TW rom? I noticed Omega has a lot of additional features, which I would never use like the Xposed framework.
I was thinking of going with Goldeneye, but not sure if it has been updated to support I337M again.

same here ..
you should try xposed framework ,and wanam xposed .There a lot of xposed module and i can costumize touchwiz like i want, like maximize widget, wich allow me to click on a notification without having to unlock. For shure its a personnal choice.
But in omega you can choose the app that you want ,if you dont want xposed just unselect it ,it use aroma installer when you flash it,you can remove a lot of apps

Goldeneye never lost compatibility with our phones, so not sure what kind of support you expect or require.? IB4STiD simply requested not to complain from Canadian side for known problems, like lack of 4.3 modem for our phone, which we now got.
Simply flash Canadian compatible third party kernel, (one without knox) after flashing goldeneye, that's it.

Thank you a lot.
EDIT: Do you mean the kernel in step 6 in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47819176&postcount=9322
It's in GE thread, first post, Canadian fix. Guess iB4STiD opened it up for us again.
But basically go to original development and whichever tw kernel you pick, follow the links to Canadian or T-Mobile compatible version. Kernel makers usually describe whether we have our own or we should use T-Mobile one

So, as I understand, we absolutely need this Advanced CWM recovery if we are running MK6.
We can't use standard CWM or TWRP recovery?

From what I gather, we can use CWM or TWRP, it just blows the Knox counter and warranty is void. Which is why cf-auto-root can still root, and why u can just throw rom manager on to install cwm (then remove, dont install roms with rom manager). This is only for MK6 (rogers/canadian). I would try a cwm or twrp, and just use cf-auto root to reinstall the stock recovery with odin if you run into problems.

This is only relevant for GE versions 13/14. The latest is GE15. As already explained, just follow steps in 1st post. There is a section called 'Canadian install guide', can't miss it. The fix you flash after the rom is the kernel for our baseband (Step A). Easy as pie. Step B is optional, changes network icons from default to whatever your carrier uses (e.g., 4G to LTE).
I would recommend creating a backup of stock once rooted before flashing custom roms. Not sure if there's ever going to be a fix for resetting knox, but traditionally it was a good idea to have this in case you ever want to revert back to stock and unroot. Also backup EFS to be safe, for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308546. I personally had to use an app for that after updating, knox kept preventing me from connecting to the program but that was when OTA was launched, might work for you.

FYI I did it the easy way using the Cyanogen Installer.
Ended with CM10.2 and CWM 6.0.4.4.
Then I flashed CWM Touch 6.0.4.4 from CWM. Downloaded TWRP but did not try it.

You can do only a Hybrid NC2 ( MGL frameworks), I already tryed a full deodexed NC2 and it would not show on screen(black screen) it require's NC2 firmware files,in which we cannot get a NC2 recovery or NON-HLOS.bin, it requires root to pull from phone(unless some one can some how manually patch)
that's how I messed up flashing the NB2 firmware (the parts from OTA)
Not working?
I am on a rooted NB4 stock with safestrap. I made a new ROM slot and installed this file in there via safestrap recovery. Upon reboot I only get a black screen (with the blue LED flickering). It seems to me that the /system alone is not enough to run a KK rom like this one. Am I missing something?

you have to install the togetboot files (MBL firmware)
what you need is the MGL firmware to boot
You have to be on KitKat already to flash. And you have to put it in stock slot.
It's based on international nc2 like dynamic.

but I know it fixes FC on the stock (MGL) key board

If your ATT Note 3 was not rooted prior to the 4.4 OTA, no you cant install this. A bit of searching would help you
If your ATT Note 3 came with 4.4 installed, you're SOL waiting like the rest of us.
So if I want the closest one to original, this is the one right?
Also, I'm on DK extreme 1.3, can I flash this using SS 3.72? T
TIA
Still one of the lucky ones with MDL on my S4. I flashed the 17.1 Hyperdrive today, but it wont allow me to turn on my WiFi. I see in the forums where other users are flashing specific modules, but not sure that is what I need for MDL. I cant find anything that give me suggestions on what to do to get it back if I don't have safestrap. Any suggestions?

The modules zip contains the "/system/lib/modules/dhd.ko" and "/system/lib/modules/scsi_wait_scan.ko" files required for the wifi to work. These files should match the kernel that is on the phone.
Since you have MDL, you could be having a custom kernel. If so, you could get these from a ROM that uses the kernel.

I came from GE35, so I had flashed the kernel GoogyMax 1.0.9 kernel. I didn't see any kernels that supported the latest 17.1 on the hyperdrive post, is there a specific one that i should flash to get the proper module files for the wifi to work properly?

If wifi worked with GE35 and GoogyMax 1.0.9 kernel, then you can replace the mentioned files ("/system/lib/modules/dhd.ko" and "/system/lib/modules/scsi_wait_scan.ko" ) on the phone with the ones from GE35. That should work.

Thanks, that works for Canadian i377m with 4.4.2. Any recommendation of a stable ROM? Does the 'fringe' features(thermo meter, ir blaster, etc.) of the s4 work on non touch wiz roms like cm or aosp?

I would say stick with tw if you use the tw features try @iB4STi tw Roms with @Alucard24 touchwiz kernel what I used for the longest time using cm12 unofficial ATM but if you don't care about tw features then liquid smooth, carbon rom

Thanks! One last question, I think.
The up to date ROMs here are mostly for safestrap, if it doesn't specify that it works for our phone (bell s4) I probably should not flash it?
Some do say it can be flashed with non-safestrap(twrp) but we need to flash our carriers kernel after.
How can we make a back up of it (the kernel that I have on my phone right now) and make it flashable from twrp?
Thanks again!!
You can't or at least I don't know how... But there are touch wiz kernel that will work alucard or ktoonsez have best kernel for our phone @s3nr1
Also check in 19505 s4 thread thats where I find all my Roms that are aosp for touch wiz look in i337m/att s4 section.

Hello all,
I am running a touch wiz rom, Skyfall, and TWRP 2.7 is my recovery. I was wondering if there are any custom roms for the Samsung Galaxy S4 - SGH-I337Z from Cricket. The codename is 'jflteaio' and I didn't want to brick the device by simply 'trying' one of the I337 Roms. In fact, the only reason I have Skyfall is because a dev(hroark13) confirmed it working on his device on Android Forums. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Try the unified section, im pretty sure there are roms and kernels made for our S4s, and compatible with all models.

I looked in the unified section and I could not find a place to ask questions about my Cricket model of the S4. It said it was only for Development. If at all possible, could you point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Late answer to this question for anyone looking at this. There's not much info. out there about the i337z from Cricket/AIO.
First, install TWRP found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...cket-aio-sgh-i337z-jflteaio-twrp-2-7-t2858698. You'll have to install a terminal emulator app from the Play Store to follow the installation instrucitons.
Second, make a backup using TWRP. You'll need this if you flash a ROM and your S4 won't boot.
Third, flash a custom Touchwiz rom. Goldeneye worked on my i337z with 4.4.2, baseband ND3, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313469. I flashed it as an AT&T i337 safestrap selection in the Aroma settings that appear after you click install in TWRP. Another poster said they liked Skyfall by the same developer as Goldeneye. Wifi didn't work for me when I flashed the Skyfall ROM, but you may just need to change the build.prop file to ro.securestorage.support=true from ro.securestorage.support=false.

Not for sure,. I've gotten AT&T ROMs to work if the ROM has an Aroma installer to allow you to select to NOT install a kernel, normally shown as AT&T Safestrap. I also was able to install the Goldeneye ROM that does include a kernel. I'm not sure why as there may be some compatibility between the kernels. By in large, most AT&T ROMs that include a kernel would not boot after installing.
I'd go with GPE Lollipop, or flash ATT's CWM and flash cyanogenmod's 12.1. that one's pretty nice. Or just stick with kitkat. anything kitkat, by now, has its bugs worked out. Really liked slimrom
