I flased CWM and it was fine, then I needed PhilZ for a rom and flashed it.
Since then I cant get into recovery, just black screen then boots normally.
What can I do besides flashing the original firmware?
Try reflashing recovery again?

ODIN flash TWRP custom recovery for your i9505 phone & black screens will be the thing of the past.
Here is the direct download link for the twrp recovery version 2.6.3.1 for the i9505 phone:

Good luck!

My phone originally was using omega rom and philz recovery. I accidentally pressed the "remove recovery flash" while in philz recovery when I was trying to reboot the phone. My phone couldn't boot to os nor recovery, but download mode still works. So I tried to flash custom recovery again but it does not work. Tried flashing stock rom and kernel but recovery does not work. However, the phone is now able to boot to os but the screen color gone wrong. The whole screen is purple-ish when in os.
How can I get back recovery and also solve the purple problem?
Maybe try using a different recovery, at least to get back to stable? I've used TWRP and OUDHS via Odin, and both work well.

Hi guys, tried to boot into twrp this morning and it wont boot. It simply loops the "teamwin" screen. Ive tried reflashing twrp and it didnt fix it. Also i tried CWM and it just got stuck on Samsung with the blue booting recovery in the top left. Any ideas?
It boots into my stock rooted BTU rom and download mode by the way.

Hello! I tried to flash philz cwm recovery for d802 in twrp (my device is d802 btw) and it failed.. It wouldn't be lookied.. Now everything is ok and so on, BUT how do I flash philz cwm recovery if I have twrp now?
Is it possible to just flash the cwm recovery with flashify?
Any help is appreciated! :fingers-crossed:
Edit: I just ignored the errors, and the recovery was there after a reboot:laugh:
I just flashed philz over twrp this morning. All I did was flash philz as zip directly through twrp and rebooted to new recovery no problems. Bad download maybe...

Maybe I would flash a stock ROM via Odin. And this is a new start and flash new CWM
I think you should flash a different recovery then CWM. Like TWRP or Philz. I think that CWM isn't updated anymore.
