though I can certainly see what you're saying about this post being pretty 'elementary' - i think it's a bit harsh to call someone an idiot and blast his question in a Q&A forum ... we're all at different levels here on our knowledge and understanding of the OS and hardware ... c'mon, let's help each other out ..

This. I'm in 3 different forums here, don't want to think about the number of thread asking for gingerbread, froyo, cupcake, etc. It's inevitable, but just have to wait for it to be ready.
@ckisgen, I take your point, I did kind of jump on the guy, but a quick search would have shown this exact same thread a few times. It's ok to ask questions, but at least try and find the answer yourself first.

You would figure that people would at least give the threads on the forum a quick glance before making a new thread asking the same thing several times...would be enough.

Unfortunaly bro, gratitude is not appreciated here. However im sure the Devs are grateful for your "thank you". Its those who were not taught respect and want custom roms built only for them who will flame you.

hey. Not tryin to add fuel to the fire here seeing as we are all here to enhance this great phone. I noticed that Bierce called it impossible, that was said about a lot of things. I'm not doubting you in any way I'm just the type of person who will always give it a try. I'm only 15 and not exactly to good at deving or anything yet, buti am learning. I know that dastin is the expert porter here but his life is hectic right now. I can't promise anything at all, butif someone could point me in the direction of where to learn how to port, I could give it a go. Who knows, maybe I can get it started on the way and one of the more experienced devs can hammer it out. Worth a shot, eh. Sorry for my poor English, I'm still getting used to my to keyboard.

the thing is its not that there impossible it just seems like all he does is scavenge other forums looking for wierd stuff to port like the other day when he was asking someone to do the miui port from the mt3g and he didnt even bother reading the thread because 2 posts down they were complaining that it was just a themed rom and not miui.

ahh I see. I fully understand why you had to "flame" him a little then. I understand why he wants stuff ported but it is important to realize welose people every day. I'd be glad to start work on it if anybody would have interest in assisting

this thread needs to be closed before the flaming gets anyworse.

It's for generic devel about sense, so everyone is welcome, and of course, I'll give op for everyone worse of that for people that come there know who to blame

i am not a dev nor do i hv much knowledge. but i have been thinking of it for a long tym. cos i see a lot of sense roms but almost all of them have some lil bugs (pls dont mistake me). so i thought y not all sense devs n porters join together to bring perfect sense roms? nw it has started to happen and hope it yields good results.
PS- hope Iperzampem0,inestain, mathiusvilela too join in this good cause

There are plenty of Java Tutorials in the Internet. I guess you should read them first. Im also pretty sure that there are some tutorials about roms on XDA. You can find all of it just by using the search tool.

If you get going on and start baking stuff, always remember to respect other people's work. Don't kang from others without giving the author well earned credit.

if you want to make best rom, then start using google to find tutorials for cooking roms...

Im sure u at least need a basic java programming or c++ program..if not, its going to be difficult. Im my self hav no basic

If you don't even know how to search for the needed info yourself without asking, you've got ZERO chance of making the "best ROM".

Most "developers" are just "modding" or replacing stuff with winzip. If you like stock but with some other theme and couple of mods this is your way togo. I myself am not very fond of this method an skip these roms. Personally im keeping my note stock till an official MIUI or CM rom arrives.
