So I hard bricked my nexus 7 2013 with Chainfire 3D *Facepalm*
Heres why it wont work.
When I turn it on, the google logo and the lock come up, then go away shortly, replaced by a bootloop with no boot animation.
Recovery mode will not activate. I think it corrupted or something.
I like my nexus, so, anyone have any ideas?
NEVERMIND I somehow managed to get it into bootloader so I could then flash stock.
Thank you all for your help!!
2013 would be a different forum entirely.

my shiny new nexus seems to be stuck in the boot loop of death...
it starts up, shows the google logo, then the nexus logo and then it just starts over... rinse/repeat etc...
i can get into the bootloader no problem, but since i have no roms installed my options there are limited to restarting the bootloader (does nothing to fix the problem), recovery (hangs on the google logo forever and does nothing, but at least does not loop) and shutdown...
again, i have no roms installed (haven't had a chance to yet)... this is pretty much a stock device with some games/apps installed from the market...
i got my nexus about 3 weeks ago from microcenter, so i have just under a week to fix this or i will have to exchange it for another unit...
so how bad is this ? fixable, or should i not even bother and just take a ride and exchange it ?
Completely fixable.
Have a look at wugfresh's toolkit if you havnt seen it yet.
It allows you to flash stock from bootloader mode which will wipe all your data, but fix the problem
Hello I am trying to fix a friend nexus 7 first gen
the problem is that it keeps flashing the white google logo like its boot looping , the system doesn't even seem to be restarting just a flash on flash off google logo , no nexus logo or anything else at all.
I cannot get into recovery it will just shutoff everytime i try even from the bootloader menu
tablet doesn't have debugging mode on so only thing I can do is work via fastboot
already tried to flash like 5 different versions of android and everytime it finish (succesfully) and goes to restart it just keep doing the same on the google screen.
any help is greatly appriciated, and I have been searching all around the internet for hours now and have seen many solutions to bootlooping which I have pratice before on many of my other android devices but nothing like this problem.
thank you and pardon my english.
When you turn on the tablet with the power button and the screen's backlit turns up, press the VolDown button. This way you can boot into bootloader and flash a factory image provided by Google.
yup like I said before I did got into bootloader and flashed factory stock images like 10 times now and still having the same problem, this is what i usually do when I get into bootloops with any other android device but for some reason this time is different.
its not idle at google and I dont even get to see the nexus logo it just shows the google logo for one second and screen goes black then again the google logo and black screen like infinite restarts with one second delay.
Then it maybe hardware related (corrupted nand/partition/etc) so you might consider to send it to Asus/Google to repair.
Hi everyone,
I rooted my nexus 6p using Nexus Root Toolkit, the root was succesfull , then I went to recovery mode to flash the images for the new google assistant (im not sure if this is what cause it) , the device will turn on with this message "Your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader." , then after 3/5 seconds it goes to a Google Logo wth a small opened padlock where th home button is. but it never fully boots, i can access the bootloader and get into the recovery mode, but thats all, how do i fix this, , will locking the bootloader on the Nexus Rootkit work?
Many thanks
Jacob

Yes, you can go to the original 6P Bootloop of Death thread (BLOD) and read there to see if you qualify.
In short, if you cannot access recovery mode or flash a working recovery (unlocked bootloader) there is no hope, and you can stop trying now. If you DO have recovery mode, there are a few things to try over in the BLOD thread.
Nexus 6p
bootloader lock
stuck on google logo
recovery mode not working
anyone help me plz
Doesn't sound good might have to try the heat trick . Find out where the chip is located or take the phone apart. Even then hard to say if the 4 core will help. Might be time to move on my friend.
