Can anyone get CheapCast to work on their Advent Vega?
I've go VegaBean running on my Advent and it's connected to a 32inch TV via HDMI Cable, so would be a perfect Google ChromeCast alterative if it worked.
I have no issues using CheapCast on my various Samsung mobile phones and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Tablets.
So I know the actual software works in general.

Is there anybody that is currently using the TWC TV app on their nook? I'm using the one that allows it to be run on rooted devices http://www.droid-life.com/2012/04/1...ut-streaming-tv-unavailable-for-rooted-users/ on my HP Touchpad. It works great. When I try it on the nook running ICS (2 different nooks with 2 different CM9s), it keeps telling me that the channel is unavailable. On one of them I loaded up chainfire in case it was a display issue but there's still a problem.
I'm curious if this is something that is a no go on the nook.
I think this was a no-go because of the hardware acceleration. Shame TWC says it only has video under ICS.
HI guys,
I just wanna know, how can i connect my device to tv?
Is there wired connection? what about wireless connection?
What are the things i need?
For example, my tv is Samsung LED Series 5?
What are the things i can do after connecting:
- can i access my device as a storage device?
- can i play a movie to my device and have it displayed in my tv?
Thanks in advance
With the app Mediahouse (pro) you can stream movies from your tablet to you tv (netwerk).
you can choose to stream content to your tablet of from your tablet to your tv (if i'm correct)
New or old n7? This is easily found anywhere online. Old n7 can't mirror it's screen to the TV except with a mod for miracast (this mod is new). This mod doesn't work on 4.3 yet and requires supported hardware on the TV too.
What does work is dnla or upnp, which sends local media to the TV - movies, music, photos that are stored locally not streamed. Many apps support this and lots of hardware does too.
New n7, you can use slim port cable to mirror the screen

I have the old one, there is no something like adapter, converter, cable that can connect the device to the tv? i cant seem to find any on mr. google, and yeah i saw that the new nexus 7 is capable of that, thanks
Chromecast may solve your problem if you can get your hands on one.
PA 3.94 Nexus 7
I just bought a Samsung 32F6400 tv, wich has screen mirroring that is designed to work just with samsung phones/tablets.
I turned on wireless display on my phone, it connects to the tv, and after that i get a 2-3 sec black screen on the tv, and then it says Screen mirroring off/disabled...
Did anyone get this to work on a samsung tv ?
problem with Samsung
I also have a Samsung TV 2013 edition and when I try connecting via miracast it says connected then the TV stops and exits miracast mode, however the nexus 4 did work with my freind's lg smart TV and my brother's note 2 worked on my TV so I'm guessing that the problem is with Samsung not the nexus. And I was using stocl android 4.3 ....:crying:
I'm hoping there's a port to make it work with Nexus phones.. Anyone?

Screen mirroring how?
I'm rooted and safestrapped and running on beans ROM and mirror works fine thru MHL adapter... typing this out on my flatscreen with bluetooth mouse and keyboard as we speak... just got done playing GTA with sixaxis PS3 controller and all that mirrored well also. (Eats battery like crazy though)
I am talking about thru my samsung all share cast hub you press screen mirroring and it does not connect there is a fix for the note tablet 2014 and other samsung devices but i do not think there is one for this one.
Here is a example of what I am talking about

I've been looking if there was a way to get the mirroring to function with any rendering device... I have multiple htpcs in my house all with xbmc, I can send video music whatever to it being xbmc broadcasts the pc on the network as a dmr device, but the stock mirroring on the phone doesn't recognize it
Did you find a solution yet? I've been trying to do it with the Fire TV stick. It finds it, says it's connecting but won't connect.
Here's the equipment I'm working with:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM T230NU on 4.4.2 with KingRoot (for now).
Sony XBR850C with built in Android.
AppleTV 4th Gen.
I have tried several solutions and nothing works. The TV has Chromecast built in (called GoogleCast) but it connects very briefly and then I get a message on the tablet stating "Casting to the XBR850C has ended"
I've used several different apps including ScreenStream, MirrorBeta, MiraCast Shortcut, etc... and tweaks like MirrorcastEnabler.
I am looking for a system-wide mirroring solution, I want the TV screen to reflect whatever's on my tablet screen whether I'm in an app like TBS or HBOGo or on the Setting screen.
Honestly, I'm floored that it's been this complicated and challenging. I have an iPhone and this feature is built in and works flawlessly.
