As you can see, I have a LG G2 d803 (Canadian variant) right now and I would like to flash a cyanogenmod 11. Should I go for the international version or the att version? Thanks

Have you checked to see if the device is compatible with on cm website because I could only find model d800, d801 and d802. Also you need to be s-off for some roms if need but usually rooted will be fine

Hi, I've got the videotron variant. Now it says it's the d801, but when I had trouble rooting it, a great guy (autoprime) on IRC pointed out that it was mislabeled and actually needed the d803 method, the traditional Canadian variant. Now I'm rooted, got my twrp, but I'm not sure whether I should flash d801 roms or d803 roms. Any tips would be very helpful and appreciated
Thanks!

I can't give you exact advice on this. But I have the D803 (Bell, in QC as well) and From what I understand, it should be all 803. If you started out with rooting and using a recovery for D803, I would stick with that option.
Sorry I can't give you more solid advice but I'm sure you have an 803 that is mislabeled

I appreciates your input! Yeah it's pretty much what I figured... I shouldn't have any problem, the working LTE pretty much proves it's the same hardware. Anyway that's what nandroids are for.

I'm considering getting the G2 from Rogers this weekend. Can I use custom roms for D802 on the Rogers D803 version? I am especially interested in Cyanogen Mod which I have been running on all my Android devices for a while. Thanks.
There are a few for the d803. .....I have also read that you can use any att roms As lling as you remove boot.img....check the dev section. They are either listed as multi carrier roms or say d803 in the description

Thank you. Does the boot.img contain the Kernel? In that case does it mean I would be stuck with whatever the default kernel is shipped wtih the phone?
hey i just wanted to know if this ROM (http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=RC&device=d802) would work on my LG G2 from Verizon?? I hate the LG software it comes with.

You need to make sure you flash the correct model number (vs980)

If you use xposed/G2 xposed, you can fix most problems without flashing. However, if you wish, there are a number of custom roms including CM. Be sure to get the correct model number (vs980) as simon said.
I recently adquire a Lg G2 from Claro Puerto Rico wich forum is the corect AT&T or Verizon.
Thanks for the advice.

I dont have the phone right now with me, but what I saw is D801 or something.
Hello @Prufta
In case you still havent found out on your own by now, our models are basically a d803.
This means that we need to use stuff from the d803 and not d801 like the device info says.
Here's a reference thread for all d803 and Claro g2 users thanks to omegajester

I too am using a g2 from claro
Quick question.. I noticed that some rom not supported by my d800 can still be flashed if I flash the correct kernel. So do that go for all the g2 variant? So in other words can I flash a Verizon or t-mobile LG g2 rom on my d800 if I flash the correct kernel? Thanks ahead of time
