Is the Manila Interface posted here a joke or really works on some of your devices?

Hi everybody
looking around to find out what is the status of HTC concerning a probably new drivers release for the devices with Qualcomm 7200 chipset and i've found the file below, which should contain a new User Interface code name MANILA.
I'm sure most of you hear about it.
Well, i've been trying to install the file, but in some way i don't get it, even if I edit the cab and write a new setup.xml. May be because I have the Original O2 ROM on my Orbit 2, i'm not sure at all
Could some of you try if the install works on your cooked HTC Roms ??

wellthe m9 files in the HTC directory looks like xml + code (LUA perhaps?). In the manila\manila.xml file it has this line 'Mode9Path="HTC\home.m9?testParam=1" ' but there is no testParam in home.m9... could try removing that and trying again. Did you remove all today items before running this? I'm at work so just looking through the files, havent had a chance to test yet.

I was trying to remove some files too during the pause, but I'm in the office too.

it tells me that htc home has been closed unexpectedly

Yeah.. I already saw them after I posted.. I just didn't bother editing them anymore.
Too bad it's slow and works only on VGA. I guess it's for those future "video-centric" HTC devices (that I'm not going to buy). Maybe Eten will make better devices by then.

i have the rom currently in use and it is stable. i saw no bugs until now.

The best thing you can do now is wait :angel:

The only problem with this rom that I've encountered so far is that the text is aliased. It needs some form of Clear Type tuning.

Why god, why? Yesterday I flash my mozart .... and completed all accounts and other phone settings... installed all my apps. Now i must do it all over again, but I hope it will pay off :angel:

Hah, just completed the download, thanks for the info Can someone confirm that skype and facebook chat are working, because yesterday i changed to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1461839 and i can't login into skype or connect to facebook chat? That's why I came, to find a better ROM. :silly:

Oh i mean full keyboards There are only US and Chineses keyboards in the current version. And because i'm uploading 5 roms so it need 4 more hours to be done.

I can't login into skype or connect to facebook chat... with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837393 I had no problems with skype and FB (I use the dorm internet via WiFi, with proxy). The BTFileTransfer is in chinese. Zune Sync and Phone7Deployer work perfect.

That's cool! They were already mounted as sub-folders of C:\, but they didn't have their own drive letters before. Not sure if that gives any more access than before, however...

We're able to do that on the HTC 8S and I guess on the 8X aswell, since the EFIESP is not encrypted. In fact, I already posted something similar in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2632814
So far, I wasn't able to do anything interesting with it. Only Stuff like enabling Kernel Debugger, Allow PreRelease Signatures, display and edit advanced boot options (not of any use since there's no physical keyboard on the phone) unfortunately, I bricked the Bootloader on my 8S when I tried something reeeealy dumb, so I can't continue experimenting until it is fixed

As I understand it, the protection system itself determines what file to load, depending on the status of the device. We need to create a file with the seven-boot, then you can experiment with the settings.

MMOS = Microsoft Manufacturing OS, not storage mode of course. It is primarily a test environment.

It's a long shot (on RT, SecureBoot blocks this), but... any chance you could enable TestSigning mode? That would make some of the hacks I'm attempting a *lot* easier.

This is wonderful, great work bro

I suggest to be carefull with this zip - it hard bricked my device (twrp or system was not able to boot, I had to revert the system to stock Android through fastboot, then install back custom rom)
Finally it was my decision. I take responsibility.

Work like a charm, i juste replace both abl_a and abl_b file in dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/ with your file and set permission to 777

How to install manual i don't have custom recovery

Got an error("the zip file is for wayne devices only") when flashed, I am using Nokia 7 plus with derpfest custom rom would be helpful if there's a B2N sprout flash file coz that is what was suggested to download when I got error.

How to activate VOLTE on OnePlus 8T Oxygen OS 12 (Tested working on Oxygen OS 12 C.33 build) NEED root

1) After rooting your phone, download the Qualcomm driver from below:
2) Run cmd here in Minimal ADB after install and type adb devices and enter, make sure that you can see your device's adb number
4)Type adb shell then press enter
5)Type su
6) Type setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,rmnet,adb then press enter
7)Reboot your phone.
8) Your volte should be working now.

The problem i see here:
"setprop" is an android cli program and it doesn't exists on PC
It change android system props and basically needs root access to run
@kennethyha please explain how to run "setprop" when the phone is in EDL ?!

Sorry. Just checked back the steps I did. Root is indeed needed.

Just simply flash this module in Magisk ( ofc Root is needed )....

The Firmware is the same as the Target Phone - the Current Firmware is

Did you confirm that your package is OnePlus 8T EU C.33 or the latest one now which is C.35?

The name of the file is C.33 and C.35 - Is there another way of confirming the Package ?
