Offcial update froyo in india via kies

Today i just updated my galxy 3 Gt-I5801 in India Kolkata. Its an awesome experience. Its build is FROYO.DDJP2
And Baseband version I5801DDJP2
I upgraded via kies.
God Bless samsung.
My phone was rooted but stilli could update. This update unrooted my phone though.

Disadvantage the stock version of FROYO does not support live wallpapers.

will try to upload it. But try it with kies instead you can do it directly. no need to do it with odin. i waited this long for kies.

Hey does this firmware is having the battery or gps problem then only i will upgrade because my current firmware I5800XXJPM is not having any type of bugs or problem.
And BTW :When ever i try to connect my phone to kies it never connects .

I am also trying to update. Kies connected... update prompt given.. started with the update but its stuck at "preparing updating components"... i am on windows 7. can u help me out??

If anyone is trying the official firmware but already used the 2.2 version, do you see many much differences instead of the old unofficial firmware 2.2 you flashed before?

if i already use any Custom ROM to my Galaxy s4 GTi9505... is there any way to flash it back like before? i mean like the first time i use it... still pure.. no root... also can do OTA... because idk how to backup my ROM before.. so maybe im ruined it

If you are rooted use Triangle Away to reset the flash counter and after that go straight to download mode and flash a stock rom with Odin. After the flash do a data factory reset and you have the phone as you initialy got it

Samsung oficial firmware see www.sammobile.com/firmware, you have to register first before you can download!
After this you are full stock if you flash the rom of your country/region and you will receive all OTA`s again.

Have you got the correct drivers installed by Kies? Tried another usb port (no hub)? Are you using the original usb cable?

Its not as hard as it seems to use Odin:
1. Close Kies, also in windows task manager!
2. Enable usb debugging on the phone.
3. Open Odin 3.04 as administrator
4. Place the downloaded rom that is unzipped ONCE and shows a .md5 file in PDA
5. Phone in downloadmode (after you used to reset the flash counter with Triangle Away)
6. Connect the phone with usb to Odin (IDCOM should light up and show a com number)
7. Press start and flash the rom.
Reboot and data factory reset in settings/accounts/reset
Done

BTW sir,.. i cant find any model of Samsung galaxy s4 GTi9505
can u help me to find th original firmwares?

You can try this rom with odin

it's the last official rom from France. the only issue if it's not the right region code for your country is to had just issue with carrier network
why i choose the link from france ? cauz no specific region code for turkey and france is close to france (in geographical situation).
but if you remind the region code of your first stock rom i can try to find a link for the it

this is the easiest way to unroot and go back to stock and official galaxy s4 with TW.
follow this simple guide .

[Q] Der members I need help

Dear members Im very new on that forum and also Im new to samsung galaxy s4 gt 19505...(Im from Finland)
So I had downloaded from sammobile the latest german firmvare android 4.3 and installed with the instractions
the way sammobile gave and with Odin3 and everything went well fhone works with out problem, but the reason I
ask your help is why I did not get any new effect for camera for the keybord for dial numbers and most important
for bluetooth?? that is why it botters me and I want to go back to android 4.2.2 but how? I tought maybe it is better
I wait for officaal releise from samsung for Finland. That is why please please give some help..
by the way I called samsung cusromer care in finland and told them about my problem and they said I lost my warranty
because I have installed 4.3 by Odin and they said ofcourse there is way to roll baxk to
original firmware in same way but they cant tell me how and they told me I should search google...

Dear Maanz first I want to thank you for the quick answer and yes I read the page but Im so confused because so many thred and so many instraction for root for other things and talking about knox and many kind stuf
I just want to to have my original firmware that I can wait for official 4.3 for Finland then I can update form OTA or kies so please help me to do that because samsung says that right now I dont have warranty because I have installed 4.3 from Odin

u have to read carefully in the OP, mate. Install the stock version through odin.
If in doubt, just ask in the thread.
Just ignore what Samsung told u.
They just out to scare u.
Don't worry about other things.

Dear maanz I did install the knoxfree version on my galaxy everything went well and fhone worked but after a few minute every thing lagged and most time I got message that app stoped and so on I mean no stabilasation at all so I went back to german ver. 4.3 again it work with out any problem but still warrenty void and knox is 0x1... have you heard anything if some one has fixed that isue and got the warrenty back??

oh, u flash the second time?? that's why knox trip to 0x1...
what's yr german 4.3 firmware? MJ3 or MJ5? what's yr previous 4.3 firmware version? MJ3 or MJ5?
U have to read up the thread I given u above. It looks confusing at first.
Just post yr problem if u have difficulties and someone over there will help u out.

Yes did flash it again nothing helped and also knox counter did not increase at all I mean may knox became one when I was on 4.2.2 and I installed leaked ver. 4.3 by sammobile (aasian singapure I beleive) after that many times i did flashed german one and Fiinland one which was 4.2.2 and knox did no increase or any other things.....

hmmm, ok. u did say knox triggered 0x1 in yr previous post.
so, u still encounter apps stopped and that weird stuffs after u installed again and again?
i don't seem to find the solution to that.
I'm not sure if others are having like yours.

alright! lets just start off by saying im an android noob. i have minimal basic knowledge of installing a custom rom, but i picked it up very quickly. tried installing cyanogen mod, screwed up, tried booting phone, didnt work. wiped the system, didnt work. used odin, that didnt work and now i'm at "firmware upgrade encountered an issue." i cannot connect the phone to kies, so i cannot do a emergency reboot. (Does anyone know the reboot code?) then I tried using odin again, and that says "failed (auth)" I read on one of the threads that instead of the mdr file that it might be an me7 (i think)?
dont worry i've learnt my lesson, i just want my phone back :/
im so upset and angry at myself, the phone is only 2 weeks old

yeah phone came with 4.2.2, i upgraded it to 4.3 though, trying to install 4.2.2. stay with me ill try your method!

If u upgraded to 4.3 u cant come back to 4.2.2. But we can go to latest 4.3. Tell me if ur phone is unbranded or no, waht model is and where are u from and i will give ya correct firmware for ur phone

i'm unbranded and i live in australia. I cannot find any links besides terabite because it takes soooooooooooooooo loong!! ive been working all day for this. Is that possibly why i'm getting the error (auth)?

This error is coz u are trying to install a firmware android 4.2.2 and u have android 4.3. The unique server taking care now about the firmware is TERAFILE.CO and im sorry no is good for ya
EDIT: Is it i9500 or i9505?

Tell me only what model u are using (i9505 or i9500) and i let u the guide here ready for ya
EDIT: I supose is a GT-i9505 . Here is ur guide:
Download this firmware -> HERE
Turn off ur device completely
Open Odin ->HERE
Boot ur phone in Download Mode (Button Volume Down + Home button + Power button). When u see the one yellow triangle press Volume Up.
Connect USB cable to your smartphone.
At PC, extract firmware .tar (or .tar.md5) file that you downloaded.
In Odin3 click PDA/AP button and select that firmware
Click Start then.
Remove USB cable from SGS4 after Android OS loaded

Update 4.3 but on different country

I have a Note 3 N9005 with android 4.3 from UK baseband N9005XXUDMJ7 i want to update it to 4.4.2 but with the baseband from Romania N9005XXUENB4 is it possible? And if someone can point me to all the steps that i need to do cuz i am new in this.Thanks in advance.

Its doesnt matter as long as its an official rom, just know that once go to kikat theres no way to go back to jelly bean, u should look for the steps to flash the rom, it pretty simple.

Thank you for your answer! That is why i didnt update untill now cuz i wasnt pretty sure that 4.4 is better but if i will do it do i need to have the 4.3 rooted? If yes can u plz point me there?

Don't update. the KitKat version has a lot of problems!
For one, the SD Card read/write problem.
Second, for me, I have a problem with device heating while gaming and doing some intense things on KitKat.
