Hello friends, I was just wondering if there would be any flashable stock ROM zips so that I could easily install then from the recovery and go back to stock? If someone has any information on this please help.

I am looking for the same, but have a d80210g, China version, 32GB...
There is way too much fragmentation in this device, and ultimately its biggest downfall for me. .... I don't think there is another android device out there that is as much of a development cluster f!#k as g2

Hello,
So today I have decided to dip my brain into a little ROM Development (if you even want to call it that).
I am using this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661770 to do this.
I was going along, got the System files, but now I am stuck, and that is with the Boot.img.
Where do I get the Boot.img to use? Can I download it or do I grab it off my device somehow?
Thanks for all your help in advance!
EDIT: Can someone move this to the Q&A? I guess I was looking at the wrong section when posting. Meant to be in the Q&A!
1. Search around, or pull it from the stock images on google.
2. Since you are lazy to search - click me
Wow, thank you! Did not realize it was in the kernel!?

If it ends with a "?" Put in Q&A

Exactly.
And of all the other sections to choose, the Dev section is absolutely the worst.
Yes, I was a actualy waiting for this to happen, meant to post in the Q&A but somehow I put it into the Dec section.

are the system files on the lg g2 stock normally? I just flashed back to stock ui after a hangup while trying to install cm 11, and come to find out that the system data is 8.12gb, is this normal or are there "leftovers" from trying to install cm11? Thanks
Do u have a 16gb or 32gb. ...there has been a bug where 16gb gets lost

To all what had been said. Whilst restoring. Or changing ROM's stock vs custom usually, almost always the system partition gets formatted, cleaned so there couldn't be any leftovers anyways. (not in system)

You really should give more information. The main being what version of twrp you tried to use.
I'm going to assume you tried 2.6.3.2 which will not flash 4.4 Roms. You need to download the 2.6.3.3 or latter tarp zip and flash it in recovery.
If my assumption is wrong then my apologies and I have no idea what the issue may be aside from maybe a bad IMG was pushed.

2.6.3.4 flashes 4.4 Roms but has issues with 4.3
2.6.3.3 flashes both fine.
If you can't find a working 2.6.3.3 zip and want it then let me know. If I dig around I can find it. I've been hearing the 2.6.3.3 zip on the official site is nonworkinf

Well that solves the issue then cm 11 is a 4.4 ROM

So all you need to do then is update it by flashing the appropriate zip you want to use.
In Verizon development the thread should still be there for 2.6.3.4 even though it says it is discontinued it works. Just know that there are issues with using it with 4.3 Roms

No, use this thread to find the right version and procedure for your phone.
I followed that thread got the recovery but it isn't up to date anymore. I was looking to see why cm 11 keeps failing and I ended up here. Lol. Thanks

That's what I thought but I can't find a flashable zip. Only an .img file. Twrp doesn't even see it. Flashify doesn't either. So I was going to try and push it. But that draws concerns about loki. This locked bootloader stuff is new to me and I can't find information about it so I can make informed decisions. I don't like asking these questions on here because I'm sure they've been asked before. So I've been for going over threads for days now with minimal progress

Yeah nothing, even on twrp website the latest that's hosted is the one I have. What is confusing me is a lot of tmo owners are saying they've got Cm11 up and running. But it seems I missed out on the recovery train. All threads point to the d800 and your vs980. But I'll keep fighting the good fight. Thanks though

Yeah Cwm is awesome, it just didn't work on my nexus 4 but I don't know how to switch from twrp to cwm. I can look into that more. That's prolly what I'll do tomorrow.

I was looking at this article, and saw that the method works for the s4 at&t version: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...-wont-get-to-see-how-for-a-while-here-is-why/. When released, will this work with our phone then?
It was already released this post has been almost a year ago. They already fixed this exploit.
