I just saw some guys mentioned that they are not sure hdmi or mhl functionality of note 3 and few people discussion MHL/ hdmi output. I write this to told you all who cares HDMI output of note 3. I am sure to tell that note 3 support MHL, which is is an industry standard for a mobile audio/video interface that allows consumers to connect mobile phones, tablets and other portable consumer electronics (CE) devices to high-definition televisions (HDTVs) and audio receivers. (here is the official link , shows that note 3 support MHL).
Therefore, if you guys who want to display note 3 via the MHL port of note 3 to a HDTV screen, all you need is a MHL to HDMI converter.
And also, found a video guide for reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NjUJN10m_Q
Any questions on MHL or HDMI, please give your feedback here. I am ready to help.
I can't get MHL cable to work through HDMI on TV.
I am using this cable. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am using the 11 pin adapter. The cable works with my galaxy s3 but not note 3. I read it could be a kit kat issue. I am running MOAR_S5_Port v5 10-26-14. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...5port-t2836713
Anyone else have this problem?

Please...., MHL doesn't work in G2, this was tested many times..., only Slim Port
thank you for help
but how i know the slimport model will work with G2 or any model will work
Slim Port work with G2, G3 (and more high-end LG phones - for all of these models try search in google) and Nexus series smartphones and tablets by LG. This is all about I know, probably more devices from other manufactures uses Slim Port as hdmi output but you must search in google. Of course without samsung, their phones uses only MHL.

LG Optimus G / Nexus 4 used MHL. Have an MHL adapter at home that I used multiple times with my Optimus G and the wife's Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Was hoping to use it with the G2 ... but alas.
LG G2 / Nexus 5 uses SlimPort. Completely different adapter required.
This is stupid with different standards(money, money, money), something like many charging connectors, before microUSB standard, but Slim Port is little better than MHL, on Youtube is comparison

why bother with cables?
Why bother with Slimport or MHL cables. It has miracast. For around 30 bucks you get yourself a miracast dongles (ezcast most likely) and you stream everything you want from phone to TV. No hassle with cables.

Practically I agree with you, even if in theory Miracast protocol set standards up to 1080p streaming, and considering that miracast is a sort of wifi on direct between those two enabled miracast devices, should stream as the standard says. In theory... Practically even between two miracast devices of the same manufacturer (LG phone and LG smart tv) can be some problems of incompatibility and "dialogue". But still, when is the last time you saw a hi res game worth to play on big screen? Or... to stream a 4k video to a TV you must have that 4K TV.
As everyone said, you need slimport adapter. I bought this one and it works without problems: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271571917451?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
So as the title stated, I cant use my Galaxy A5 with MicroUSB to HDMI so I can display my phone to my monitor / TV.
I have read everywhere that Galaxy A5 can't use this feature. But is there I can do to enable it? is it disabled at the kernel? will I can use it if I root it and change the kernel?
Thanks before..
+1!!!
as far as i know, the A5 doesn't have hdmi capabilities.
you have screen cast lol, just buy miracast for tv, ts like 20€ from ebay and it works
I've got a s5 neo (SM-G903F) and picked up an 11pin USB MHL 2.0 to HDMI cable in the hope of connecting my phone to my TV but it only charges phone and doesn't display phone screen on any of TVs in my house.
Seems phone is not MHL compatible
Just wondering if there is away around this or a different way to mirror my phone screen to my TV?
I have same question-problem
Can be done anything to "make" S5 Neo work with MHL Hdmi adapter?
Quite disappointment this missing feature, im even thinking to sell and change to "old" S5 .
S5 neo does not suppot ML. The phone is a downgrade of the original S5 in some areas.
Since Note 4 can shoot 4K videos, can it also mirror these 4K videos on a Samsung 4K TV?
Searched the forum but got nothing. Then Googled and while found articles with "How to Wirelessly Display Your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to a LG 4K Smart TV" https://gtrusted.com/how-to-wireles...our-samsung-galaxy-note-4-to-a-lg-4k-smart-tv
Also found "Samsung Galaxy S5 / Note 4 / Edge MHL 3.0 4K HDTV HDMI Adapter" https://www.mobilefun.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s5-note-4-edge-mhl-3-0-4k-hdtv-hdmi-adapter-51065
Hope some others have tried either wireless or wired mirroring with their Note 4 and if there are any problems trying to do this with 4K videos.
I ordered two years ago cheapest 4k mhl adapter (black with violet text 4k or something) and it didnt work so there ended my experiments. I think for mhl need to have stock rom.
I have LG tv but i didnt get connected my Note 4 by screen share. S4+ worked unknown amount of pixels. Both on custom rom.
