Explanation about unlock the bootloader - G Pad 8.3 General

Hi guys
Tomorrow may arrive my new GPad and I want to unlock the bootloader but I don't understand how to do it! I have read something about Loki but I don't understand how to use it! Thanks in advance who help me

You dont use loki, usually rom/kernel devs are the only ones that worry about loki. Loki is a patch that allows unsigned code to run, bypassing a locked bootloader. This allows custom recoveries, kernels, and roms to be flashed without actually unlocking the bootloader. The loki patch is usually run as a script within a ROM zip file, the end user usually never has to worry about loki patching manually as the updater script within a rom usually takes care of this.

So I'm trying to figure this out as well, were you able to unlock the bootloader? if so how? because I need to root my tablet

You don't need to unlock the bootloader; the root program bypasses it entirely.

I have a little question. Nexus products are still in warranty after the bootloader unlock?

No (assuming you are returning it in its unlocked state), BUT you can re-lock the bootloader before sending it in, so you'd need to return to 100% stock using the factory images, then use a fastboot command (fastboot oem lock) to re-lock the device. This would be recommended to do before sending it in for repairs (RMA's).

No problem! I guess I never 100% answered your question. No if you just return it unlocked, and they wouldn't know if you returned it 100% stock/locked...essentially like it was out of the box, you'd be safe then.

I don't think it's possible . You must downgrade to v10 , then use vRoot program (to root this !) , then find "Unlock L5" apk on this forum , and use this to unlock Bootloader and install CWM , then u can install every rom and even FLASH BASEBAND

install the 4.1.2 v20D+root+cwm with kdz so you will get an unlocked bootloader.
there arent big difference between v20D and v20G
both are jellybean with v20baseband so you can install all new roms

You can simply flash the full rom 2.0.2 over your current installation (you can find the download link in the oneplus forum).

I am on beta mm and as there is no way to unlock bootloader, i can only use tethered twrp.
Cann i install custom Roms from the twrp recovery?

That was Lollipop. There is no unlock method for Marshmallow yet. But, give it time, eventually there will be.

I don't understand. Do you want MM or do you want a custom rom. You realize that MM is a rom right. If you're saying you want Cm13. Then downgrade to L, unlock it, then install Cm13. You'll have Cm's version of MM on your phone.
