Cool, I hope this addresses some of the issues I've been having with lines going through photos. Motorola was insisting it was a software problem and not a hardware problem. Will report back after testing.
No fix for the artificial light banding issues I have been seeing.

There is no "manual exposure." You can 'manually' move around the focus/exposure box, but the camera does autoexposure for whatever's in the box.

Hence my "request" ... it doesn't need to be nexus only. They just haven't decided to release it yet. Fortunately for me I'll still be using my old nexus for hiking and now won't worry about ruining me main phone.
[sigh] but we know google doesn't listen. Just look at what they are doing to the Map app

The previous update in the play store, was it only for 4.4 or did it also work on 4.2.2? If it only worked on 4.4 but this update also works on 4.2.2 then perhaps what Motorola did was update the app to be compatible with 4.2.2.

The original update was for kit kat only. The previous update was for 4.2 and 4.4. This one is also for both. 2013 droids and moto x

Just go to your installed apps on your phone (in Google Play), click on the Moto camera, and the button will say "Update."
It takes time for it to actually show as an update. If you manually go into the installed app itself on the Google play store, most of the time the button will say update.

I just updated today to 244 and I have walkman 7.9.A.0.1; album 5.1.A.0.4, movie 5.1.A.0.6 out of the box.
Do we have some newer versions somewhere? please point me to that direction

That's why you have the latest applications,cause you already have it on the previous firmware.

Drama...absolutely accidentally looked now at the list of all installed apps.... guess what I have 2 Walkmans installed (old one ver.2, and new one ver.7).....
Glitch? What to do now? Of course there is no option to "delete".... should I just disable ver.2 , or leave it as it is .....??? thoughts???

Do you HAVE to use this root? I am not familiar with the Android stuff. I mean, I have done it before, but that was years ago. I am seeing posts from people that have rooted with some other files I think.
I am looking for a clean KitKat os... I guess I want the same one Google would push out to a Nexus. Is this what that is?

Installing custom ROMs will change your 'OS' on the device. Rooting allows certain root apps to have elevated privileges. If your goal is to have the official Kitkat 4.4 release, you'll have to wait for LG to release it as an update.
What exactly are you looking for in 4.4 other than the version number? LG has done a pretty good job of enhancing the stock Android interface.

Thank you for that explaination.
I am looking for the improved Google Now "OK Google" functionality. Improved Maps functionality, etc. I guess you wouldn't get that from a custom ROM. I do like the UI that LG provides. They did do a great job.
Also would have liked to get the game OFF that my provider put on it (can't uninstall it). They also have some Remote Control app on it that I can't uninstall as well. Guess I'll just wait for an official KitKat update.

Try swiping up from the bottom middle of the screen and you'll see LGs voice assistance available to the left. You can select what keyword wakes it up like "LG Mobile" or "Hello Genie".
The new maps are available from the Play store in addition to other new Google functions. They appear to be separating these updated apps into downloadable add-ons that can be installed on most other devices.
I know 4.4 can't turn off Bluetooth in voice commands buy thanks to LG I can on 4.2.2

I've tried that genie function and google now. The genie app is not very functional. Neither is google now. They don't function well, which i thought they improved with kitkat.

It won't be much different on a Nexus 5. I own the Nexus 5 as well and I much prefer the G2. Better camera, larger battery, UI, knock on, rear buttons, etc.

Until voice recognition becomes seamless and closer to 100% accurate it will remain mostly a gimmick. It's OK to play with for 10 minutes but currently isn't ready for most user's primary device control (both Siri and GV).

I just flashed into my Samsung SIII 4.2.2. Launcher looks good. also same problem with Google Search Force close.

Camera isnnt working
After flashing the GoogleHomeV2 on my Nexus 4 by recovery,the google search kept reporting error afterwards. After install the Google Search and Play Services and clearing all the default settings of luanchers, it went back to normal. However,the original factory camera app was gone, and i had to use a third party camera app instead.

It appears kit kat has broken flash. Before, I could view amazon instant video through Firefox, but now none of the browsers (dolphin, Firefox, xscope) work. They all say that flash player needs to be installed.
Flash is installed and it's been enabled on all three browsers.
Has anyone gotten it to work?

I got flash working flawlessly...... I stayed on 4.2.2. Lol
Never got it working reliably on 4.3 and kinda figured 4.4 would be the same. Me and my daughter stream lots..... So with 4.2.2 I will stay. Unless I lose my need for flash, then I'll update.

Not sure if Adaway works on 4.4, but the only drawback of Puffin is it won't work if you're blocking ads.

It works, but it's slow and choppy. Not sure if it's because it's the free/trial version. Not willing to spend money on it if it's still going to be that way with the paid version.

Flash works great in Slim 4.3 for me but not in KitKat.
worked well in mozilla firefox in android 4.3 but it is not working in android 4.4.
I guess it's settled. Kit Kat broke flash in Firefox. Time to go back to 4.3.

Since 4.3, maybe even 4.2, usb storage has been removed. The only choices are mtp or camera mode.

android 4.4 isnt compatible with adobe flash. the last update that adobe put out for flash is also the last update ever for flash on android, was in september. that means that we are done with flash.
Have to decide..... Keep device a couple android versions higher, or stay back and enjoy flash. I'm doing the latter.
Unless the flash we do have stops working. But mine is about 6 versions back and still works great.
When I get my new phone.... I guess I'll be out of luck. But the old one can be my mini TV.

I've never had an issue with 4.2.2 or experienced the famous 4.2.2 lag.... And 4.2.2 and up are all pretty much the same... To me anyway... So I don't mind keeping it at all.

I should add.... My family uses the n7 for lots of stuff.... And don't know or care what's on it... As long as it works. But me... All I really use the n7 for is watching movies and TV.... So flash is about the only thing I care about on it.... So if it isn't flawless... The tablet is broke to me. Lol So I'm kind of treating 4.3 and 4.4 as meh.... If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Of course that's just how I use my n7.....for those who like to mess with it.... I get the updates and flashing all the time.
I mess with my phone a lot, but haven't flashed anything on my tablet since the summer.

I should add.... My family uses the n7 for lots of stuff.... And don't know or care what's on it... As long as it works. But me... All I really use the n7 for is watching movies and TV.... So flash is about the only thing I care about on it.... So if it isn't flawless... The tablet is broke to me. Lol So I'm kind of treating 4.3 and 4.4 as meh.... If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Of course that's just how I use my n7.....for those who like to mess with it.... I get the updates and flashing all the time.
I mess with my phone a lot, but haven't flashed anything on my tablet since the summer.

i used flash on 4.3 without any issues at all, i didnt even know that people were having issues, lol. anyways, this is the last flash apk that was released, and the last that will be released, version 11.1.115.81 http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk
I couldn't use flash since 4.3, in any browser... will try Puffin, I really need flash in order to watch sports streams since I live abroad and local TV never plays Djokovic matches
I'm afraid I might of just done something daft. I installed the new google play services update, without checking the previous 3 digits from my previous phone, and now it is not working properly. Could someone help me, which version should I install? I have a Nexus 6P with the security updates for November, and I haven't changed anything. If someone could post the like that be great!

Unistall it from the app section, Unistall updates.

Where? I am on the App Info section and Disable/Force Store are grayed out.

Click the 3 dots button on the top right of the page and it will say "uninstall updates".
