Does some people have the same problem as I have?
There seems to be something underneath my glass screen. Looks like scratches, but its between the bezel and the beginning of the screen.
Some pictures about my case:

Nothing there if I turn on my screen :
Stuck pixels? Had it happen on my n10. Looked like dust under the glass when the screen was off & couldn't see it when the screen was on. Stuck pixel remover worked for me.

It is not in the screen, it's below the screen. I think there are no pixels there.

Probably a defect in the glass bonding... contact the carrier or LG and see if you can get it replaced. That's what the 1 year warranty is for...
I'm scared to lose my phone for 3 weeks and they say: it's your own fault (it's not, I didn't drop it once) and after that I need to pay the research and transport costs.
And if I want to get it fixed, it will me a lot more!
Going to the carrier shop tomorrow. Let's hear them out.

What model is it and what is your carrier? Most carriers handle this type of return w/o issue.

LG D802, Dutch carrier KPN. Have a 52,50 euro monthly contract. One time 350 euro for phone.

It has some dust, but you get the point.
Looks nice, right?
LOL, that is PRECISELY what I suggested to someone who had the same question some time back.
BTW, it's a bit surprising to me the silver ring around your camera is perfectly intact. Mine started scratching and peeling off from one point just weeks after purchase (Where the ring rests on the surface where it is placed). (It is in a cover now 24x7, so, it no longer happens. Also the reason why the back letters are intact)

Well, I've had this Wildfire for a little more than 1 year, no guards/covers/cases/pouches what so ever since day 1 and it has absolutely no scratches on the screen/body (that line seen on the picture on the back "metal" isn't a scratch). Only the letters... The "T" came off today and I just removed the others, now it's unique, and good looking.
i dont get it

Hey guys so my 2 year old loves this tablet and uses it more than me. But to learn sign language and of course angry birds
Can I fix it is my question?
It looks fine no cracks in screen at all look at the photo showing the damage under the glass. I think his little foot put just enough pressure on it to break it..

Best bet, look on e-bay or maybe somebody has parted theirs out. You can change it, but maybe it's time to upgrade?

That sucks. You could always get a new one.
Next time don't let a 2 y/o play with such a delicate "toy".

One more question anyone know where to get parts for this?
I've seen a thread with a link to a site with Acer parts.

There is a link for part numbers. It was under something like "making the 500 a 501" or something like that. I really can't remember. But I managed to do searches and find it awhile back.
Somebody played with the idea of making an a500 into an a501.
But you'll have to search. It's there.
As far as a web site with acer parts, I know of none.

I have no idea how but when I went into my bag to check on my N7 the screen had a huge crack along the screen. I'm not willing to pay an arm and a leg for it, I need a reliable seller that won't take forever to ship it either. Any help is greatly appreciated, I don't wanna stop using this device. Thanks!

I think the glass, digitizer, and screen is all connected together.. Replacements will run you about 150$ so your best bet would to buy a broke nexus 7 with a good screen and swap it yourself, or buy a new nexus for 50$ more.

Damn in that case I may just get a Nexus 4
Sent from my LG-E739 running PACman ICS using Tapatalk 2
That doesn't make sense. You're ditching a tablet for a phone...that requires cell service? You said you liked the N7 so you could buy a new one (sell broke one for parts), pay 34 for square trade coverage and still have the tablet you like with an insurance plan that would cover the screen breaking.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I decided I'm gonna let my girlfriend keep it, she said she would pay for the repair. I'm gonna check on eBay and Amazon for prices on used ones for the screen. I live with her so technically I will still be using the N7
And I have an outdated phone, the LG myTouch 4G. Now that I got my new job I can afford the N4 without a problem, just wondering if the unlocked version from the Play Store will work with T-Mobile 4G service. If I have to setup the APN myself I don't mind, I hope that's the most difficult thing I'd have to do.
I'd be thrilled to use that device to tether with the N7, I'd be pretty happy owning both. I don't know about the N10 tho, it's too big for me to take anywhere.

Hey guys,
I have dropped my G2(D803) and the glass cracked on the bottom right resulting the loss of the digitizer on the entire bottom half of the screen. Now, the phone hasn't beeen rooted, and I can't get in to the phone, as my lockscreen pattern requires the use of the bottom half of the phone so essentially, it's a expensive brick at this point... Is there a way to trigger a factory reset so my info gets deleted on the phone, or any guides for a glass/digitizer only replacement? I will go to LG support as my last resort as I don't have access to my lg g2 box for the serial #, etc. due to me being away from home for the next little while. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure vol down plus power is the normal recovery mode where you should be able to reset ans reboot swipe works on any part of the screen

Thank you for the reset guide. Now is there a guide regarding the digitizer/glass replacement? Couldn't find much on google other than the LG G2X.
Check if you can get anything from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437403

I used a OTG cable and a mouse works very well.

There's a teardown guide on this site. Search for it. Digitizers are now available as well. Should be an easy fix. Worst case you're out the cost of the digitizer

tiguy99, I have searched the site and found pictures of the back being removed and showing the internals which should suffice.. Now is the lcd and digitizer like the galaxy S4 where you have to use the hairdryer method to seperate them?
I read someplace that its only like $105 to have lg replace the screen.

Who gets warranties on smart phones these days? I paid the $8/mo to Sprint for their warranty plan for two years for basically nothing. Unless you're a clutz (which we all can be at times, sh*t does happen), most people I would like to think that hang around XDA take care of their phones like they are newborn babies (that is, we'll hold them ever so gently but will throw them in a fighter jet traveling 1000000mph).
In any event OP, I would guess the problem is with your digitizer, since that is what makes the magic happen and produce our images. You could try taking your phone apart to see if by some miracle the ribbon was knocked loose. Otherwise, might need a new digitizer.
