I have cyanogenmod 10.2 (jfltespr) on my SPH-L720.
Started experiencing network problems, unrecognized phone number, etc. Flashed again, still not fixed. Any suggestions?
I did forget to take my sim card out before flashing the first time, do I possibly need to buy a new sim card?
Any tips for updating the radio/ modem?
Any help is much appreciated!

I used Odin to flash a NC2 firmware. I found the firmware in the thread will the leaked KK files. After flashing that firmware ive been unable to connect to Net 10 service with either a ATT or Tmobile SIM card. If i put the Verizon SIM in, i almost immediately see 3G is available. I flashed a second (updated) firmware, and i still have this issue.
Is this a known issue? Anyone else have this issue? Im using BigginsROM cause flashing Hyperdrive causes a black screen when booting. I presume its cause HyperDrive isnt on NC2/NC4 yet. I hope this isnt permanent cause itd defeat the entire purpose of spending $900+ on the phone and accesories.
Any info/help would be greatly appreciated. If ive merely derped something feel free to let me know.

I installed a SIM card info app. The app says that the phone is network locked to Verizon. The phone number that is showed is associated with the Net 10 AT&T SIM. Still says network locked and SIM operator is Verizon.
While further researching the issue i found that the servce menu reports "Network: UNBLOCK." The conclusion is that that means the phone is SIM locked. How in the world would i have managed to lock my phone?
While even further researching the issue i found that it might be the NC4 ROM that i flashed when i was having problems getting the KK leak to boot.
Edit.
Hated stock rom so rooted using ioroot, flashed TWRP and installed G3 port ROM
Inserted SIM card but phone wouldn't detect
Reflashed baseband thinking that would help, no luck.
Decided to revert to stock
Flashed the 4.2.2 KDZ - I was dumb and didn't notice it was 4.2 not 4.4
Still no sim card detected
Flashed 4.4.2 KDZ
Still no SIM card detected.
The SIM itself is fine and I've tried another SIM with same problem.
The IMEI is showing up correct. Could I have killed the EFS partition when installing custom ROM? Would that mess with the SIM card detection?
Help please. Much appreciated
I am having the same issue. Can someone help us?

Check your phone's baseband, probably not the cause but yeah.
Try to clean the simcard
Try to clean the simcard tray
See or your phone might be simlocked or something like that.
maybe try to logcat and watch in the logs something to sim related text.
I can't give you ideas based on experience.
EDIT: I saw your other thread.
So you have flashed F400(G3) rom on a F320(G2)?
If so then my question to you is, is your wifi working? Cause flashing could may have caused some issues with the partition layout. I don't think there will be big differences/no differences but just to be sure.
Did you also tryed to flash back to stock and or flash baseband?
Was sim working before you flashed the rom? What rom did you flashed from the g3? Just so I could maybe inspect the updater-script if it isn't too large to see or it may got other partitions.

Did you find the solution bro
I'm having the same problem. I was on some old CM13.1 rom for LG G2 VS980 and releases prior to it, sim card was working without a problem. But only last night after updating from 10day old CM13.1 nightbly build with yesterday latest build, the sim card stopped working.
I tried method online which said to remove the card for one minutes before booting. Did it and didn't work.
What can I do now?

Nah, sent it back to supplier.
So yesterday I was messing around with my i9500 that I've upgraded to Lollipop.. due to rooting issues, I decided to downgrade back to KitKat (flashing the stock rom using Odin)
however, as I fixed all the rooting issues, I've encountered a new one - my sim card seems to be no longer functioning (even though it is inserted, the phone claims that no sim is inserted
any tips? I rely on data and phone calling as a large part of my phone ._.
help!
Hi all,
I have a strange issue that I don't know how to fix.
This evening while using my phone I suddenly got SIM card not recognized message. I have tried these things to no avail:
-In "Settings" I can find my networks but my phone won't connect on them
-Powering down, pulling my SIM card out and reinserting it. No change
-Since I'm on CM12 I did factory reset and rolling back on previous versions of Nightly's. Still no change
-Again doing factory reset and installing SlimKat 9.0. No change
-Rolling even more back after another full wipe to SlimKat stable 7.0. Still got "Insert Sim Card"
I have flashed latest modem and bootloader when I migrated from SlimKat to CM12 since I was loosing signal when locking phone and that worked all until this evening.
Can anyone help please?
EDIT:
The model is GT-I9505 jfltexx
Update:
Just installed, again, 2/3G and LTE modems... no change
Inserted SIM card fro my wife... no change
You likely have a hardware issue. But before you go and replace the SIM card slot, revert to a stock ROM and see if that resolves the issue. Start with stock 4.4.2 and see if that works, then roll back to stock 4.2.2 if it doesn't. With luck, rolling back to one of the stock versions will resolve your problem. If it does, then you should be able to migrate back to SlimKat. If it doesn't, it will cost you about $10 USD (€9.41, BAM/KM18.35).
I encountered the same issue, and in my case not only was the SIM tray damaged but I had also lost my SIM unlock. Only by downgrading to 4.2.2 was I able to figure out that the SIM unlock was gone, but it wasn't until I had replaced the SIM card slot that I could do something about it.
Rooted VS980 with Bliss rom installed. All of the sudden I am getting a 'no data sim' message. If I remove the sim it changes to no sim card message. I tried the sim in another phone and got signal. I am getting no data and no cell coverage. It was working great and I made no changes today. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I experienced this, too, under the following conditions:
- New SIM which isn't registered/enabled yet
- A few days back when Vodafone had massive problems in Germany
I reckon this means that you have a SIM installed (duh..) and it cannot (although registered) access data services. I don't think this is ROM- or device-related
I am having a similar issiue...
I've tried the sim in another phone and it worked and a known working sim in this phone and it didn't work.

I experienced the same problem with a T-Mobile HTC M8 running CM 13. I fixed it by reflashing the stock HTC rom using the RUU program. I figured that reflashed the radio firmware, which I suspect was the real problem. I could not simply reflash the radio firmware directly because my device was "s-on" meaning that the HTC security software still had the radio partition locked.
