I think you have Galaxy Y.
You can remove some bloat applications & increase the entropy pool size.
Flashing a custom debloated rom should also help you to keep your phone fast!

If you have a carrier with unlimited data you can use your phone as a hotspot for free. Thats what I did with my sprint phone hehe
I started with cyanogen mod for my first rom and I kinda use that for a baseline. seems like a good starter one to compare others against..... though that's just opinion.
Hello !
I also personally see that we should flash a custom rom
For my s7562 :
antutu benchmarking scores :
stock+bloatware=3800~4300
stock+pimped=4000~4500
custom+standard kernel=4300~4600
custom+oc optimised kernel=4700~5200
For me , i've got 5130pts
Delete unimportant system apps like chaton , gameshub etc. This can improve the fast and battery life of your mobile .

NOMone Resolution Changer is a must!
I find this app very helpful. It's easier to significantly icrease my android performance without all that hassle of adding RAMs and stuff...
NOMone Gesture Dotty does the job too, but with extra cool feature, custom profiles: to change to the resolutions you want as quick as one gesture draw!

There's a helluva lot of things you can do after rooting your phone. Since you wanna play heavy games on your phone, go get yourself a class 10 sd card. The Galaxy Y has low internal memory for heavy games, so you'll have to use INT2EXT to increase your internal memory by creating a sdext partition on your sd card. Class 10 because it's the fastest available. For RAM, you should use CarlDeanCatabay's method for creating a SWAP to act as a secondary RAM. Getting a gaming oriented ROM with Overclocking will also significantly boost your gaming performance and improve your gaming experience.

Hi
I just had an issue of the internal memory is getting full even if I already had the applications and games installed in the memory card
But I wonder if there are any way or tips to optimize the RAM and get as much space as possible ?

Not much besides returning it and complaining the the 500.00+ phone you paid for came with 3.00 worth of storage. Im being generous saying the internal memory is 3.00 its more like 2.00

But there should be away to optimize the RAM coz its totally an clear for the internal memory to get full fast even if I just had only few apps installed. My Iphone have more apps and games installed and I never had an issue with memory

Yes there are many ways. Easiest and fastest download the app: "app to sd" from market and u can move most apps to sd card.
Try that and let me know

Flame the noob, shame on you You don't know jack until someone points you in the right direction. Sure he should have searched a little, but still.
Dude, you got good advice on the apps2sd. The real memory improvements are after you pluck up the courage to root your device, but it's pretty easy. Follow the other posts on same. Then you can check out Titanium Backup from the market, or there is another command you can run if you install the Android Development Kit but it's more techy. Stick to Titanium, it moves most of the game to SD, leaving <1Mb for each. I have loads of games installed & have 150Mb free.
Let us know how you get on...
Thank you guys. I just tried it and it freed around 120MB
I really dont know much about the android and how to handle it properly but really you all are giving a great help and I appreciate it very much

If you learn how to use adb, you can try the command " pm setInstallLocation 2 ", this will force more apps to install to the SD Card and free up even more space
What i can delete on my internal storage? Where are the rings, Demopictures...? I us apps2sd and i have only ~100 MB free. What is adb and how i us it?

I'm not flaming or anything I just want to enlighten the OP.
Ram is not what you are referring to. What you are referring to is the internal storage.
Internal storage = Computer hard drive
Ram is where processes are being run atm. every time you turn off the phone the ram is cleared.
Now like many have said you can use adb and setinstalllocation2. What this will do is install all the applications on your memory card.

First of all check all the apps are on stock apps2sd. Go to settings/applications/manage applications then on the top click SD Card. It will then bring up a list of all the apps that are stock apps2sd conpatable and if theres a tick it means there already on. If no tick click the app then click "Move to SD". Instant more space.
Second uninstall the apps you use least.
Third clear your browser cache. Go to settings/applications/manage applications then scroll till you see Browser click then "Clear Cache"
Forth and finally I would root the phone and uninstall some stock stuff you won't use.
Done.

Isn't the card you get packaged with the phone only a class 2? Though it may depend on the vendor...

I experienced a lot of lag from gameloft games, like backstab, eternal legacy, and on some mission in rainbow 6 too..
is it time for me already to overclock my phone
I've been noticing lag happening on my phone as well and it is not rooted or unlocked and only a couple months old. When i first got it I would get an occasional slowdown, but nowadays I notice it more and more (only on gameloft games but thats just because they are all I am playing right now). PSX games run perfect. I'm running a 16GB Class 2 card I procured from my old Motorola Droid with about 9gb free, as well as 150 mb free space on the phone. I am thinking it could be the card, so I have a Sandisk 32GB Class 4 on order. I feel like its possible a Class 2 card is not enough for this thing. Either that or I have some other underlying issue, I will say the device is less snappy than when it was new (and no I don't use task killers).
That seems odd... maybe you downloaded an app that had a virus on it or something? Or maybe you just downloaded an app that went wrong...
Jetpack Joyride gameplay
Jetpack Joyride allows you to play as
Barry Steakfries, a rather annoyed
bureaucrat who runs wild in his science
lab dodging dangerous objects like
zappers, missiles and rays. Barry is aided
by a jetpack powered by mini gun
propulsion. Gameplay is pretty basic
following the ‘run, elevate and dodge’
principle. The catch is, the game
continues to become speedier and hence
more challenging for you to keep pace.
You can tap anywhere on the screen to
allow Barry to lift off. There are a range of
items to collect while on the run including
slot spin tokens that reward you with
extra coins, a boost on the next run or
even a second chance. Collecting a
rainbow-coloured gear icon symbolises
various vehicles and suits such as Gravity
suit, Teleporter, Profit Bird, Mr.Snuggles
and more. YOu can always customise
Barry’s look and gadgetry from ‘The
Stash’ menu. These include armour,
gadgets and jetpack upgrades amongst
other cool stuff.
Get it from Here!

Hello everyone!!
I am new to the android world but have had a fair share of experience with technology and programming, troubleshooting etc etc.... Anyways I've got the beautiful nexus 4 as a birthday present and I am loving it!!
I've followed xda online for a couple of years and happy to have learned a lot .
Now the issue at hand, before the 4.3 update the phone lasted over a day with decent usage , texting, gaming, music, 3G.. But after that update its max time is 15 he's according to DU battery app and in real life usage gives me 15hrs 20mins with 5hrs of screen time . is that normal?? Not a lot of my friends are interested in this they have older phones,so I can't compare really..
Please give me your opinion if this is alright or should I go on ahead and root to Franco /CM...????

15 hours off the charger and 5 hours screen on time is not bad at all bro. Rooting gives you some advantages like making user apps backups with data, color- and sound control, installing various mods etc etc etc. Best way to root is with CF Auto Root from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025274. Backup files first as unlocking the bootloader will wipe your device. Some reported that flashing a custom recovery followed by a custom rom after unlocking the BL (without rebooting) didn`t wipe the device. Franco kernel is a great kernel with good performance, batterylife and color control.
Thank you very much for the quick reply !
Okay I'll look into rooting this baby soon enough !

Hey guys!
Currently I am on the backing up part of the root process .. But so far I've found ways only to backup the apps not the data
I mean the app data viz achievements or gameplay etc. Anyways to transfer it onto the PC? The whole app? ( GTA,NFS - massive files )
Thanks
AK.

GTA and NFS I believe store their game data on the internal memory (I am not sure of the folders however). So if you save what you have on the internal memory to your computer, those files should be saved.
For app data backups I would recommend using an app like Helium. It does not require root and will allow you to save your data to a cloud account or to your internal memory (which you can then transfer to a computer).
