Title says it all. Anyone have an idea when this usually happens or is it a volume of users. I can already imagine seeing the "please help I just flashed Verizon stuff on my att device" threads.

I read that the moderators wont make new threads for different carriers until they recognize this is a flagship or a popular device. Maybe with all the late traffic coming to these threads something will be done soon

Hopefully sooner then later. I was spoiled with having a separate VZW Gnex forum... This weeding thru things is difficult. lol
I've lost faith in this site over the last 2 year's. I kick myself for ever buying there app or donating.

Yea their paid app is crap. I'm back to using the free one until they get it fixed.

Xda is way to controlling Imo. The mods are controlling and power hungry. It's ridiculous.

yep. android central broke it down, even got a sprint forum there. xda is just ridiculous.

Unfortunately they have no competition. I wish mire Dev teams would get there own sites, promoting there roms, but that would take mire support than they probably get

Yup, I'm wondering the same too... I've been reading on people reporting having issues with this and that... but I don't know which carrier.
Separate threads would be nice.
Android Central has an app too, and it worked!!! At least this site taught me about that..lol

yeah, android central is a great site. i use tapatalk for their forums, tho
So the development threads have been separated, why not the cluttered General and q and a sections. The g2 should be treated just like the Samsung and HTC flagship.......

Rootz? I use xda and rootz

Just looking to see if its confirmed working on the Sprint variant. Sorry if I over looked but I didn't see anything specifying this confirmed.

Just bought Verizon g2 on eBay and the guy sent me a Sprint one. Model Lg-LS980.
Any idea if this will work with Verizon and if ROMs from other carriers will work?

To be short, no. The hardware isn't the same either as the Verizon variant is different.

So I went to the trusty XDA Premium app to scroll through the ATT G2 thread and... the app just launches chrome and loads the xda web page now? That kind of defeats the purpose of having an official app. That's the BS unofficial jank a$$ apps pull. What the balls?

There is nothing wrong with the xda app, it's just that at&t g2 now has a dedicated(same as Sprint,T-Mobile and Verizon) thread look for at&t lg g2 it will have all things att for our g2

This is true, but some of the threads load the full web page, not the mobile page like it should. Which equals problem with XDA app.
Thanks Devs. From my VZW G2.
Try using the free version then. No problem whatsoever for me till now (been using for 3 years + now)

Hey I'm new here I may not be posting in the right area if I this doesn't belong here just redirect me. But I was wondering if anyone has posted a step by step how to root for my sprint G2 its gotten the zvd update,
Thanks

Isn't that an LG phone? This forum is for the HTC desire Z (known in the U.S. as the t-mobile G2) which is a different phone. I would suggest trying the LG forum.
