Hello everyone.
I have a problem with opening websites seeking wap 2.0 support. I connected via 3G connection. Site can only be accessed if you go to the net via their network as I am. I've tried almost all browsers. I changed the types of connection GSM / WCDMA etc. Is it the phone, browser, connectivity, WAP 2.0, HTML ... ?
Where is the problem? Please help.

I read that Windows Mobile 5 supported the use of multiple APNs. I just installed the blackberry client and got the blackberry stuff working. The client hits blackberry.net as its APN, internet access is on cingular going to wap.cingular. Wasn't the whole purpose of multiple APN support to allow connection to both at the same time?
As it stands now, when I connect to the internet for IM or IE, it uses WAP.cingular but disconnects blackberry.net.
Any ideas? or is this just the way it works? I had a Nokia E61 and it connected to both without issues.

T-Mobile seems to have had a problem on their 3G network in Central London yesterday.
Having fiddled with my settings (usernames / passwords, proxies, etc) I can now get a straight internet connection, but cannot get an IPSec VPN connection through (using the vpn.t-mobile.uk APN).
Customer service (150) is not equipped to help.
Does anyone have suggestions for resolving my problem, please? Notably the T-Mobile internet connection settings, which don't seem to feature on t-mobile's web site ...

I'm a new user on this forum so don't be hard on me.
I have Att 8525 it has Faria-R32 WM 6.1 rom, HardSPL7, and 1.54 radio. Any time I'm connected to the wifi network and try to access any internet pages I'm getting same error:
"The page cannot be displayed or or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check th connection settings and try again later."
I'm not using gprs data connection since I have a second phone (BlackBerry) and it has unlimited BlackBerry data plan so I only need wifi access from 8525 sometimes. Also is there any way to connect 8525 to the BlackBerry so it can use Blackberry internet connection?
I tried it on different networks tried it with proxy and without.
Any Help would much appreciated. Thanks

I have no other browsers or messengers so it is Just internet explorer. Should I try to install different browser?
I managed to get my cell phone On-line by reflashing official Att rom, but it still can't save proxy settings and go online with proxy

you cant use a proxy server unless it's your isp's

do you mean that you wish to get internet using wifi or general activesync
or do you really want to somehow get access to a proxy after you get out on the internet

IE does not connect to internet. Gprs or wlan -- all the same. Same probs with resco radio and msn messi.
Opera and net front dont have problems. Thank god i installed them

All WM device act as PC so even your get connect to a WAP connection from your network as soon as you try to surf any website your device will send request for a normal PC like webpage and it will try to connect to GPRS service not WAP.
If you have only wap account from the service provider then the server will disconnect you as soon as your device as for a PC like webpage

My Boss has a Tytn II.
And uses the dutch Vodafone.
Its not connecting to the internet or exchange email.
I have tried:
Windows auto wizard - No success
Manually according to website - No success
I have tried both with and without proxy
And tried both with PAP and CHAP authentication.
But it cant connect.
Is there anyone who knows what this could be?
p.s. when text messaging 1300 - internet
I get a stupid sms back with an URL.....
You could try connecting the TytnII to a pc with USB cable and thus using the pc's internet connection through Activesinc. Then the URL should work.
I have an TyTNII on the dutch Vodafone network. No problem, internet and exchange access both work. So if the activesinc method doesn't work for you maybe check these settings:
I did have to change the Access Point (Toegangspunt) from live.vodafone.com to office.vodafone.nl (username: vodafone, pw: vodafone) though. But that depends on your account type.
In my case the connection uses the proxy: 192.168.251.150
