Got my phone today and I rooted my phone and then installed TWRP. I held off installing the initial OTA update, but the phone installed it after a certain time. It rebooted and I am stuck in recovery mode in the TWRP interface. I don't have any custom ROMs installed to boot from. I did a factory reset but I'm afraid I may have deleted the stock ROM.
Is there any way to reboot back into the system? If not, how can I get the stock ROM back onto the phone through the computer?
I guess you can tell by now that I am new at this, but any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I rooted the phone first, then installed TWRP, and then I installed the OTA. So now when I turn on the phone or try to reboot, it boots into the TWRP touch screen.
I stupidly did a factory reset of the phone, so I don't know what I need to do next. I know I need to get the stock rom back onto the phone somehow, but I need to get the phone to be able to link my PC to get the rom onto the SD card.
Maybe grab a nandroid from someone on verizon and throw it back on your sd Card

I poked around TWRP more and it seems my system is still installed on the phone (~2400MB). Don't know if that changes anything.

Looked at the link in the link you provided. I was able to revert back using the twrp terminal. Thanks!

So I download flashily and boot into TRWP. I try to flash into cyanogenmod. It had the flashing screen for about an hour so I though it got stuck. I turned it off then back on and now I am stuck on the LG logo. Every time I turn it off it turns itself back on. How can I fix this? I made a backup does this help?
Can you get into TRWP?

Is there a certain button combination I'm supposed to hold down, because it's just stuck at the LG logo.
Powerand vol-. Let go at LG screen briefly. Power and vol- immediately and hold. How I do it, works every time. If you can't boot our repush recovery, time for stock hard flash.
You can't boot into one recovery from another. What are you trying to do?
Do what Steamer said and get into your Recovery - whichever one is already installed as default - you can only have one Recovery system loaded at a time. Once you're in Recovery, either restore your backup, or install a ROM that will boot. After its back to normal, THEN you can change recovery systems.
So im rooted and all was fine until i hit the update i kept getting in my pull down. After that it just went straight to my recovery, twrp. Hit reboot and it went straight back to recovery, tried a restore and straight back to recovery, did a full wipe and flashed my rom, hit reboot and straight back to recovery. Im lost on this one. No matter what i try it just keeps booting back to recovery. Anyone see this yet or have advice on how to fix this shiny new paperweight? I know im not all the way screwed since i can get to recovery but im just stumped on this one. Thanks for the help to whoever can enlighten me.

Ok, I need some help and I'm not sure if I'm in the right place but let's see. I have a vs980 with version b firmware. Been running cm11 with no problems at all, was using clockwork Recovery. today I installed tarp and then I installed rayglobe and I was very impressed used it all day then I decided I wanted org capability so used the tarp app from the plastore to check and flash a new recovery if one was available it said their was so I downloaded it upon flashing it aborted . I thought no prob I'll LG tool back to stock but after it starts the process it aborts because my phone is reading it's a 802 phone not vs980 so rayglobe still runs perfect phone still rooted but can't revert to stock and not sure what I can install, any help would be greatly appreciated

You could try editing the build.prop file. That's where ur device is reading that its a d802 variant. Or just use adb to push the right twrp. The one from the app failed because its not loki'd most likely. You can also download a loki'd recovery img file and flash using flashify. Once u got the correct recovery just flash a stock ROM.
Or if ur existing recovery wasn't overwritten, just flash a stock ROM.

I tried the flashift method but it just hangs its just as confused as I am! But my recovery was corrupted cause when I try to boot into it a couple letters flash across the upper left of my screen I hold down the power key and it reboots into rayglobe. Ok am not familiar. With adb I have tried to set it up but keep failing for some reason. I tried to push the b Loki sat morning and just never figured it put thought I was typing the correct commands but apparently not

If ur rooted, flashify should work. Just make sure u select recovery img from app, and make sure u have the correct recovery img downloaded.

Ok I see what u r saying! Now my next question is is there a flashify img that I. Can use on the b stock cause I can't find it

For LG flash tool to work properly ur gonna have to edit the build.prop so it sees VS980 4G instead of d802. Not really sure how to fix a corrupted recovery on 12b firmware without adb access. Hang in there, someone here will b able to get ya fixed.

If someone can tell me in laymans terms how exactly to set up adb. And push a proper recovery (if it would help) I could try it. But the threads that I have tried to follow get me lost or lead me to bad links.

Having this issue aswell after flashing a rom with twrp.. the only is rayglobe which is workig fine. all other roms i stuck at bootlogo after flashing
Lol I just noticed my post above says sent from my d802. I guess my phone is confused

Very strange the exact same issue. That leads me to wonder. If it has something to do with rayglobe and its aroma installer and the fact it was ported from the d802

Gonna try it with philz, maybe it will work.. its annoying to flash the stock but whatever, have time today lol
Okay guys, no problem with philz
Booted in like 3 mins after flashing, so.. use philz!
Which one cause I couldn't get it to install on the b firmware
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
this one: http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d802
but i prefer to install twrp first, then flash philz in twrp, reboot once and then flash the rom thru philz (thats what i did and its working like charm now)
The problem is if my phone thinks it's a 802 it won't let me install twrp for the vs980 beca use it thinks it's a different. Phone. Unless u pushed it to the phone with adb and I have not figured out how to do it successfully.

Ok I tried to install tarp with freegee but it downloads recovery for the 802 so I just close it,

I have another thought and I'm hoping I can get an answer if my phone thinks it's an international 802 is it possible to use the twrp app from the play store to install twrp for the 802 this may give me the ability to get a recovery and also flash a stock 802 rom
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
Hi guys, I made a mess today. I decided to restore my stock LG software backup and everything went well. Then there were some LG updates and when they downloaded, I chose to install them. That took me to TWRP. I figured it needs the stock recovery to install the updates so I gave up on the updates and tried to reboot my device. It booted back to TWRP. I found it a bit weird, but I didn't care since I had a backup on the phone. I wiped data, cache, system and dalvik and restored the backup. Guess what, the phone would still only boot into recovery. I started freaking out so I wiped everything except internal again and flashed an AOSP based rom along with the gapps. Still wouldn't boot except recovery. Then I started to freak out even more and decided to wipe EVERYTHING, along with Internal storage. And here I am now, wiped every single thing on the device, stuck in recovery and can't connect my phone to the PC with usb. just a few minutes before I have to leave home. Any ideas on how to fix this? It was just some pointless LG update and it caused such a mess... ADB sideload won't work for me, I'm gonna attempt to find some drivers or something.
Anybody?

If you have twrp 2.6.3.4 you sideload rom but this may not help you.
You are going to have to go back to 100%stock.

In TWRP you have USB-OTG. If you have this cable you can install ROM from USB-flash)
I had the same issue. Only way to fix it was with the LG flashing tool. Make sure the usb port you are using on your computer is working and the cable isn't broken. I just followed the steps from this thread and it worked 100% for me.
