You can't use 4.2.2 releases from Franco in 4.3 but he post #170 and #171 for 4.3

Do a search in the thread for 'r171' and you should find it. If it's provided in .img , you can use fastboot to flash it. (fastboot flash boot boot.img)
Another method is to take any other Franco.kernel zip and replace the boot.img inside using an archive manager on your pc. Then just flash the modified zip in recovery.

Okay, thanks! Any reason why we need to use fastboot rather than TWRP or something?

No. It's just a different method in flashing a kernel.

If its an img file you need to use fastboot. Twrp will only flash files that are packaged in the correct manner.
How does one go from jwr66v to jss15j?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I know this sounds like an obvious answer, but you simply flash a jss rom.
Wow so any rom in the development thread marked jss15j?

Yes, that would be it - there are plenty! :good:
Google Apps for KitKat 4.4.
You may as well grab these, because there will be plenty of KitKat 4.4. Roms in the coming days. In case you didn't know.
when flashing a custom rom, otherwise you won't have the Play Store app and the rom can be pretty much useless without Gapps. Head to the link below and grab these Gapps now!

I don't get how if you both created it, that he posted it and you're linked to his download page. Even if so I don't think this would qualify as original development as it is just a flashable zip of Google apps, of which you didn't create and packaging them in a zip wouldn't qualify it as original development. Thread reported to be closed or moved to general.

Yup, I added support for the Nexus 5 this last weekend. Kernel and recovery flashing should all be working!
Let me know in the link above if you have any issues! I'm always interested in improving the application!
