What apps do you all use to control/optimize battery life. I'm cheap so I'd prefer something that is completely free
Try juice defender, it's free

Hey i want an app which drains the battery yes drains the battery at a rate 20 times faster. I mean a full charge gives only 2hrs battery on a full charge also the app should run in background and continue to run without being detected.

So you want to install it on your.friends phone and screw him?
Or do you just want to know how long it takes to recharge afterwards?

In that case it doesn't need to be in the background / undetectable...
It almost sounds like you are requesting to build a virus for the phone...

Haha, if this were reddit, I'd be posting a simple sh script here.
Impossible it is not. The principle would be full cpu load, prevent the phone and screen from sleep, and constant write and read from sd card. Except preventing screen from sleep all can be done with a line or two in sh. And that also would also be achievable with a proper app.
Cheers

I think he needed it for aprils fools. Anyways, an alternative would be to make the phone think its batteries are getting drained quickly even though everything is normal.

Ok so let start off by saying i have posted my problem on other threads and havnt got a reply.
this all started since i updated to 4.1.2 battery life sucks it drains way to quick when i check battery status its says android os 40%-50% (it once reached 62%) i erased the tablet and still the samething, i then flashed stock images samething. now i running CM 10 and its around 20%-30%, its either 4.1.2 has this bug or my tablet is bad, any advice will be appreciated
Thanks
Could it be any apps you've got installed?
I only have Google apps installed
Bump, no has any ideas??
Have you been watching battery stats. Get gbat app from play store run it in background thru a few change cycles it will show exactly what is using your battery.

That app will tell the bad app i have installed? and in settings under battery is says Android OS around 50%-60%
I will give you stats to diagnosis the trouble.
Have you tried to factory reset the tablet.
What amount of Android knowledge do you have. Seems like you have a auto task killer running in background. Or a very rogue app. Start posting some info and not just please fix. The advice you get it only as good as the info of the issue your having. This is why you are not getting good solid help.
Hope you understand.
