go to settings ,device,sounds,haptic feedback is ticked
if you have power saver on, it will be off automatically

Is there a way like on s3 to ger volume to silent by pressing volume keys? It only gets me to vibrate then have to turn vibrate off on menu

This feature was present in the original note but it seems it's been removed in the note 2. An alternative way which you may be interested in is simply by holding the power button and selecting mute.

Indeed it was useful when on the go, muting the phone within your pocket without having to look at it. I'm sure some application out there could reinstate this.

Yep. Pull down menu. Think the s2 had same if memory serves.

Having a quite strange issue. Video starts with full screen but if I single tap on screen anytime, it brings the video control bar which is normal but this damn things stays there doesnt go back so I can enjoy full screen. Tried disabling smart pause but no use.

i'm on mj7 and have this issue
I bought note3 9005 yesterday, power switch is in line with outer border(inside), so it is very difficult to press power button,I need to keep pressing in different angle to use power switch,please guide me what to do,is it a hardware problem & need to replace?:crying:

Hi I am new to this forum and I have had my S4 for about 3 to 4 months. Yesterday for some reason if I didn't touch my screen for about 15-25 seconds the phone just locks by itself. I don't know what caused this and I know I didn't turn on the auto lock feature. I want my phone so that it doesn't auto lock. Does anyone have this problem? Any suggestions? And my phone is on the latest software 4.3 if that helps anything. Thanks in advance.

Go into settings, security. There's an option for auotlock there.

It's in the Lock Screen options. You can set when to lock after the screen turns off.
To change the screen timeout, check the Display options.

white flash just upper the home button(horisontal)...its just happen when u turn off ur screen...

Its like white line,i think its just above homebutton.When press lock button them apper on one second.

Not really sure. If it's in the middle then it could be crt off effect. But your phone must be rooted to do that

Its not crt effect but its something similar.Phone is stock with kitkat.I dont know is softver or hardver issue

Which test you mean?but only when lock my phone(displey goes off)everything else is normaln when displey is on.

Then check the screen. -- possibly just a screen effect though if only when locking/unlocking.

Its only when locking phone like white line glich appers on 1 sec and then screen go off.Its above home button and only blink.

I'am having the same problem aswell. It is really annoying. My phone is just 2 days old.
Edit: I have contacted to samsung and they toldme to bring the phone to a service center. I've been told I have a rigt to request a new phone or refund. I couldnt decide what I want to do. Because I really like this phone but there are alot of problems whit it. Apart from that screen problem. My phone freezes and restarts itself ramdomly and there is a problem with wifi connectivity
