Instruction
1. Setup adb including PATH (search how-to or see this tutorial)
!! These tools don't contain adb, so you have to setup adb, its PATH and adb driver !!
You will use adb after rooting, so you should setup it now.
DO NOT mirror rootkitXperia with adb.exe.
2. Enable USB debugging and Unknown Sources on your device
3. Extract zip
4. Run install.bat and follow the instructions on the cmd.
If your device reboot and cmd says "完了しました" or "--- all finished ---", rooting is done.
Note:
If you have problem updating su binary, please install XZDualRecovery and install SuperSU's zip by using recovery.
If this root tool helps you, please consider donating to him via Paypal.
He has only Xperia AX, which is Japanese version of Xperia V, so please donate to him to support buying new Xperia.
No Z Ultra support? Guess someone has to just try it (i'm already rooted)
So CVE-2013-6282 exploit worked on Xperia Z Ultra .532 fw for someone as he mentioned in other thread.
Still no root for Z Ultra .257

Maybe other tool contains adb.exe, but it can be used only with its tool.
Does the use of the bug modify the bootloader?!

I think so. I tried it on my phone yesterday and it works. The firmware version was 10.31.A.2.67 HK. Before trying it I had performed a repair with PC Companion.

Your device will not be bricked even if root tools didn't work.
Could you please add Xperia ZR C5503 10.31.A.2.67 onto the list? I tried it recently and it works. Thank you.
I'm using Xperia Z ultra and I've downgraded to .532 UK, it says success but when I install SperSU, it says "there is no SU binary installed, this is a problem" and then SuperSU just closes down...
Tried it also with HK .532
I used the root kit from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2559009 its says success but its seems it did not install the binary or the root app, I'm sure I have the right driver since I was able to use the flashtool to downgrade....
I've got USB debugging and unknown sources checked
Need help, getting confused already, hehe

Redownload rootkitXperia_20131207.zip (NOT rootkitZ_20131112.zip) and run it again.
rootkitXperia installs SuperSU automatically, so you don't need to install SuperSU if rooting is succeeded correctly.

Incredibly appreciated! Hopefully some of the international exploits will be found to be effective on these firmwares as well. Following the 2ch threads on root, and it seems like the biggest breakthrough has still been the restoration of DRM functions after unlock, but no actual root with a locked bootloader yet.
If we could just get that TA partition backup we'd be in the clear to flash...

System Dumps are for mod developers to use. You can actually modify it such that you can flash it as a flashable zip in TWRP.
But for simplicity sake for newcomers, I recommend you use Sony's PC Companion to update. It ensures that you don't get into much complications
Sony PC Companion: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/
There is no update for HK version. No PC Companion update currently.

Hello Xperia family. I have the HK Z3+. Would it be advisable to just flash MM from US or stick to HK? I already downloaded the US FTF and not sure what .ta files to exclude?
auto-boot.ta
cust-reset.ta
fota.reset.ta
osv-restriction.ta
reset-non-secure-adb.ta
simlock.ta
My Z and Z3 only had 2 .ta files to exclude, this has 6. Im not too sure about the additional 4 .ta files. any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi all!
I'm happy to say that, thanks to iovyroot, and with a lot of help from zxz0O0, we managed to create a new root tool for the Xperia M2, EagleRootTool, meaning we don't actually need to use Kingroot anymore to root LBL devices under latest Lollipop firmware :victory:
However, since this root binary is compatible with (probably) any kernel built before December 2015, I thought of making the tool compatible with some other devices, like your Z1, since it's actually very similar to my device.
Unfortunately, since this tool's based on some kernel-specific addresses, to make it compatible with other devices like the Z1, I need them from every single variant.
I'm going to take for reference all models and firmware build numbers from XperiFirm.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- An already rooted device in 14.6.A.1.236 (it doesn't matter if it was rooted by Kingroot, or via UBL methods).
- A little of Android general knowledge: Usage of ADB (mainly).
- Patience.
DEVICES:
- C6902
- C6903 ✓
- C6906
- C6943
HOW TO DO IT?:
Just open an ADB prompt and run a shell in it. Then, run the following commands, replacing the *location with storage/sdcard1 if you want to use your SD Card, or with data/media/0 if you want to use the internal memory.
Code:
su
cat /proc/version > /[COLOR="Purple"]*[/COLOR][COLOR="red"]location[/COLOR]/version.txt
echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/kptr_restrict
cat /proc/kallsyms > /[COLOR="Purple"]*[/COLOR][COLOR="red"]location[/COLOR]/kallsyms.txt
(remember to hit enter after each line of the above :silly
Now upload those two files (version.txt & kallsyms.txt) wherever you want, or attach them in your comment, saying which model they're from, and I'll add the required offsets to support your device manually!
