Shutdown animations not playing? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, anyone having any issues with SHUTDOWNanimations not playing?.
I swapped out the VZW animations for generic LG international verisons and the boot animations play wonderfully, but when i shut down the device
I just get the "The device is shutting down" box with spinning circle, but no animation plays.
I have tried 3 different files so far with no luck,
Any ideas?
Cheers!

I kind of eluded to out in the other thread, but I think the animation is happening behind the powering down message. I browsed my animation zip file and the one you uploaded and the graphics are there and they are centered on the screen, right where the message shows up. It looks like the same animation as boot up, probably just shorter. If someone was ambitious they could modify every graphic in the zip to move the logo to the top or bottom.

Problem in mwakious rom

Help! I was fed up of the HTC lockscreen so I changed the lockscreen from the HTC one to the Honeycomb one and the moment I rebooted the phone keeps getting stuck in a sorta reboot cycle at the hour glass animation. The hour glass animation plays for a few seconds then after a slight buzz, the animation starts again. It has been going on like this for the past hour.
(I have v3.0 NEXT GENERATION MAGLDR tytung), I have some urgent data that I need to recover.
Is there anyway to restore my phone settings to default and then boot the phone?

Generally if you flash the original rom over itself, it will restore the system and keep your data.
Do a backup in cwm first just in case.

What causes a longer boot time?

Phone: SGH-I337 (AT&T S4)
I'm trying to target the cause of my elongated boot time. I'm on 4.3 and unrooted. My phone has the longest startup time ever. It used to be fast and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary to have probably caused the issue. It boots normally, but then when the att logo appears, it does the little animation but then vibrates once slightly, then usually follows another slight vibrate some seconds later. This usually occurs for about 45 seconds to a minute until my lockscreen appears. I factory reset, and I tried powering off and on right after the reset. It was back to normal. However after I downloaded all my apps again and reinstated my settings, the problem reappeared. Is it simply because of the number of apps I have? I don't remember this happening before the update to 4.3. (it was great on 4.2). I thought it was because I had downloaded and used zooper widget, but I uninstalled that app and tried the booting. It was the same duration (1 minute on att screen)

Splash screen re-appears 3-4 times after reboot

A weird one this.
On my stock Note 3 with 4.3 firmware, everytime I boot up, I get this sequence
Splash screen and music play
Lock screen appears and I see the network bars appear
Bang - back to splash screen again
Lock screen appears and it seems to have lost the network
Bang - back to splash screen again
Lock screen appears and I see the network bars appear again.....
Sometimes it does one further cycle of this but eventually it settles down. If I boot up in airplane mode, then there are no repeats of the splash screen.
Any idea what is upsetting my Note 3?

I believe those are often timing-generated glitches related to mounting EFS and/or to SELinux / knox. I have seen similar a few times, in my case usually after a new Wanam Xposed + changes in more advanced settings there.
IMHO you should be more worried if that happens every single time.

Stock 4.4.3 Update Stuck?

Hey guys,
I received the 4.4.3 update for my Nexus 4 earlier, and decided to update it. But it's been going for well over an hour now, and seems to be in a loop.
It's showing the Android robot with the rotating thing coming out of his stomach, saying "installing system update", and the progress bar is moving. But when it reaches the end, the screen flashes, and the screen appears again, and the progress bar does the same. It appears as if the progress bar moves at different speeds each time (never more than about 2/3 minutes to reach the end), but I'm not too sure. Is this normal?
My Nexus 4 is near enough completely stock, the only things that I think could effect it are that I'm running ART and the Google Experience Launcher, and have quite a lot of apps/photos etc. on it. I'm just worried because it's been cycling through this for about an hour now and that doesn't seem right.
Thanks
Hold the power button into out turns off. The update isn't working.

That seemed to work! That was going to be my first option, but didn't know if it was safe, I guess. Thanks for the help!

Screen Tearing?

Hi,
My phone's screen has started to act in a weird way today. Whenever I'm scrolling the screen splits into two halves and while the left half scrolls as always, the right half just randomly jumps, lagging behind it. It's very similar to this video: youtu.be/iHLLy9gjOpo
I tried booting it into safe mode and even the samsung logo kept going off and on which makes me think there is something more serious going on.
I'm running Android 6.0.1 vanilla, not even rooted.
Thanks
Is it like this?

Hi, it's similar, but it's not freezing, it just splits itself into two halves.
