Hi guys ,
Well i bought my HTC hero on eBay like many others it did not come with android market would the new HTC hero 2.1 update give me android market ?
Should i update my phone? or should i flash my phone to a custom ROM to guarantee a android market in my phone? Don't know what to do please help.
Cheers, and many thank you
I recommend flashing a custom ROM (following the guides on xda) If you update to the official 2.1 from HTC you won't be able to root or have a custom ROM (at least for quite a while anyway).
Now i'm going to guess the next question would what ROM do you recommend and all I can say is I use VillainROM 10.3, its all I've ever used and I like it
Hi,
I have been playing around with my Telstra Wildfire quite a bit and now I'd like to revert it back to 100% stock (I might need to bring it in for warranty if the stock ROM doesn't fix the problems).
Unfortunately, I never ran a backup. I remember that it came with 2.1 upgrade 1 and I'm not sure what radio or boot.
Would this do the trick? Or would i end up stuck with an unrootable 2.2? RUU_Buzz_Telstra_WWE_1.21.841.3_Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31_release_138758_signed.exe
If that's not good enough, if there anybody who have a backup of the stock ROM and would be so kind to email it to me?
Thanks a lot!!

thanks for your reply. http: // shipped-roms. com/shipped/Buzz/ is where I found:

All I want to know is whether that's the original 2.1 upgrade 1 ROM that Telstra has been using on their Wildfires. I want to make sure that it's NOT the 2.2 telstra Froyo ROM that's been going around.
Thanks again!
All Froyo updates start their version with 2.xx. So, 1.21.841.3 is the 2.1 Eclair RUU.
Hi,
Need help rooting Android (preferably Gingerbread) on to my UK O2 HD2.
If any one can help or lead me in the right direction, that would be cool.
Thanks everyone and anyone..
All the NAND Android ROMs I have flashed so far have been rooted already when I flash them, one of the perks about flashing a custom Android ROM for any device really. All the ROMs I have flashed were 2.3 Gingerbread. You can check the ROM linked in my sig or the Typhoon Cynagen Mod ROM.
I've been wanting to change my ROM on my Wildfire but I've seen a few websites stating that its virtually impossible to install a new ROM onto the device once the Froyo has been installed. Some websites don't mention this and in this forum its the same. Is it possible to change the ROM even tho Froyo has been installed?Do I have to downgrade to Eclair? Please help
I Think Im On ginger Bread which is 2.3.3 I believe But I Want To install
RemPuzzleRom 2.2.1 0.4-SD SPEED HACK ON BOOT-CUSTOMIZABLE by kylon
This Rom What Do I Need To Do Because This Is Froyo ???????
instal RemPuzzleRom cos the hack is for that rom
Nothing. Just ensure you use Clockworkmod 2.x. The rest of the procedure remains the same as in CM7.
