I wiped my phone and installed 4.4. GE on it. At the same time i flashed a new modem firmware on it since i had trouble with phone/wifi reception. However, althoug Wifi works perfectly, the phone (and bluetooth) is a complete mess. Phone is simply not working. Trying to call will produce all kinds of crashes. Below is the PDS/CSC/modem info. Somebody able to see where i went wrong?

How did you flash your modem? The modem you flashed is MK8, right? Try flashing again (in odin, use PHONE to flash) or try MKE/MKF modem. I'm using Jamal's 4.4 GE v4 with MKE and all is working well.

so I spent yesterday trying to get my bell Galaxy s4 unlocked so I can use it on rogers
when I got the phone I updated to 4.3 right away not knowing the issues it would give me
after trying long and various roms I decided to flash stock 4.2.2 thru odin
my phone went from 4.3 on i337vlluemk6 baseband to 4.2.2 on i337mvluamdj baseband
I was then left with a new issue....... I now couldn't enable wifi
so I flashed another rom and wifi was able to be enabled no problem(did not change baseband)
to my surprise I was able to unlock the phone successfully now using region lock away.
"VICTORY IS MINE!" I proclaimed
until I noticed something................I now have no sound coming out of my phone. I tried another rom and still no sound.....so I flashed stock thru odin once again. Again the wifi doesn't work and there's still no sound
anyone know what might cause this or how I can fix it? Phone isn't of much use to me if I can't hear it lo
Edit: thru scouring google I was finally able to find a solution on here. Apparently I just had to reflash stock 4.3 and it now works

even though the phone is unlocked I 'm not able to dial out on it
doing so caused the phone to lock up
this happens in stock as well as 2 roms I tried
the data connection works just fine and I'm able to browse the web with my LTE
I dunno if this helps anyone but if I go in to service mode I can't even select audio as an option.
It's there (number 5) but if I choose it it does nothing

I have the exact same issue. I was trying to get to Google Play Edition which I have done many time before, but this time the baseband version changed. Now I also have no sound, so wifi and my phone is locking up when I make or receive calls. HEEELLLPPP!!!!
Recently flashed Wicked v. 9.1 onto the stock slot using safestrap recovery, so far the rom has been working fine, and I've set up the apn. When looking at device info it shows I am connected to AT&T and LTE, but my mobile network state is disconnected. Any solutions for this?

Check to see if you still have the same modem as you started with.... I flashed a rom, I had connection but would cut out now and again... ended up relashing the same modem that was on the phone before... (modem did not change) now I have data and solid connection for phone calls.

Not sure which modem I had before however I flashed from mk2 and just flashed the new modem and still no change

You sure mobile data is checked on in the settings? And did you flash the MK2 modules?
Google the kind of phone you have and ATT is your provider I take it? Include which version of android also so something like..... i337 modem att android 4.3 of course swtich the proper name and provider that you have. You don't want to be flashing the wrong modem you could end up with a paper weight....

My phone recently wasn't getting any signal when i flashed to the ROM 4.4.2. So people said to flash back to the stock rom, i have now done that and the WiFi stopped working. I can't even download a ROM manager to try and load another ROM.
I think i've really messed up my phone. I want to wipe everything completely and start from new, then re try flashing to the latest ROM 4.4.2 so i can get my WiFi and Mobile Data working again. I can't get calls without it having a black screen / no sound. My phone keeps turning off every so often.
I think i've missed matched wrong Modems and Baseband Versions?
What information do you need exactly from my phone to give you to try and help? Really need my phone working for work purposes. I will give a donation to a person that helps me fix it completely. (paypa)

Hi all,
I've had my phone locked on Tele2 (CRO) network which I needed to unlock to be able to use T-mobile SIM. I've used Odin 3.04 and followed the instructions to update modem to I9505XXUFNB9. I've managed to unlock the network this way and use my new SIM but the connection (both phone and mobile data) kept switching on and off constantly.
After that I've tried another firmware, namely I9505XXUFNDG for T-mobile but the problem now is that mobile is almost always off with no possiblity to connect and WiFi is blocked completely (security notification "Your device's security has blocked an action").
Basebands registered properly after every flash.
Phone is not rooted and me not being a power user would just love it to work as it was intended to

Might be onto something. After reading through this post seems I need to apply WiFi fix but I cannot tell which one to use for my phone (I9505XXUFNDG) as it's not posted. Kernel version 3.4.0-481100.
I've tried I9505_WiFi_FIX_MDM.tar and I9505_WiFi_FIX_MDF.tar but they just messed up the phone completely.

Hi ,
you should flash the fix for the modem you have installed , try following:
Flash another modem from the list there
Now flash the modem wifi fix for that modem
If still in trouble re flash stock and start all over again.....

a problem started to show recently; when i select LTE/WCDMA/GSM for auto connect network mode when the mode switches due to signal availability it doesn't get reconnected. i.e. while under LTE it works fine but if i move and get out of reach it should automatically switch to slower network which it doesn't. this works fine if i select WCDMA/GSM then the switches are fine but LTE is not available under this.
one more thing i noticed since i'+ve flashed the phone is that the upper part of the phone gets very very hot (a lot more than before). since the flash i've also had to replace a microSD card which died within weeks (not necessarily connected but worth noting).
any suggestions welcome.

I am dealing with the following issue explained below.
I started off with a stock G900W8. I then flashed this rom, everything ended up working fine:

but my mobile internet no longer worked, even after I tried manually setting the APN'S. On threads they say if your internet isn't working you should just flash a working kernel but that is so extremely confusing. I do not know what kernel will work with my device.
I do not know if, after flashing my device twice, if it is still a g900w8 or g900f or whatever. I am hoping someone can lead me to a kernel(s) that will solve my internet problem on the current rom i am using.
Or maybe something else is causing my mobile data problems?. BTW calling and wifi work fine.
