page turning app? - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

Hello first time poster here
I am looking for the app that is commonly seen on the nexus 5 where some one is using an e reader app and when turning the page it actually looks as though a large is being turned. Die anyone know what the name of this app is ?
Thank you!

Google play books?

Moon Reader also does this if you enable it in settings. Nicer and more realistic than Google Play Books. Looks like iBooks.

Best news app?

I do not like most "news" i use AP and bbc. But i like google news too. Is there a app like google or something that configures several sources? Like on pc when you click on google news it gives you a variety of headlines not just the biased news sources either.
Pulse reader is unbeatable. Supports google reader.
cd's or tapes?
If you listen to podcasts then BeyondPod is awesome. Handles your podcasts and news reader subscriptions.

Probably not exactly what you're looking for but world newspapers is a gold mine of reading material. It isn't as pretty as pulse but it gets the job done. I don't know if it handles external rss feeds.
I liked Buzzbox for a long time until I started using Google Reader.

I just cant get along with pulse and the "small" 4" screens... seems poorly structured with all the pics and small subtexts. I prefer gReader for rss feeds and a newspaper reader (+bloomberg app).
Is there any news app that aggregates like Google news but has a clean UI like Seesmic?

Agreed. However on the tablet (I know NS isnt a tablet) Pulse looks amazing.
Nexus S, not so much.

[Q] Any good apps for reading magazines?

I've subscribed to about 6-7 different magazines in the playstore and am wondering if there are any good reader apps I can use with playstore magazines.
Does moon+ or aldiko detect playstore magazines? Which would you recommend?

So there are no 3rd party apps for reading playstore magazines?

Try Zinio. There's quite a selection on there.
What is wrong with the Play Store app itself?

Nothing really, but some magazines don't allow zooming in so I was wondering if there are any 3rd party apps that had that ability. I also was hoping the page turn animation was more like Google books. Little things like that.

Nexus 7 "jelly bean" optimized Apps

What apps are optimized for the Nexus 7?
Looking through the Play Store and searching Nexus 7, many of the apps aren't optimized for this tablet.
I was hoping I could elicit your help and perhaps we could create a list here.
What no recommendations...?
What kinda apps are you looking for? Games, News app, note?
Any that are optimized for the Nexus 7.
When you get on the Play Store, most of the apps are designed for phones.
I think we need a good list of apps that are for the 7 inch form factor of the Nexus 7.
Astrid Tasks
DataSync
Google Drive
EverNote (not amazing, but decent)
Notes for ICS with Tasks sync
Apps are the key to the ultimate success of the Android OS and ultimately the Nexus 7.
Thanks for starting our list!
I'm hoping more of you will add your input.
Stock:
Google play books and magazines
Currents
Chrome is gorgeous
After:
Xda app - after running this for awhile, I realize that uses an inordinate amount of battery life. Nearly as much battery as google play music has used in 2 hours of playing music well just being a backrub after. Are there any fixes or is this a known issue?
Supergnes works great both portrait/landscape although I prefer nesoid and snesoid emulators..
Talkatone paired with Google voice
Camera launcher for nexus 7
Stickmount
Rotation locker ( long press choice, widget is broke)
Google earth and Sky map work great in 7"
Kindle app does *not* take advantage of all the real estate.. lots of screen wasted in 1 and 2 panel.

Interested to know any apps optimized for nexus 7 as well. Just got this tablet today so I'm just installing apps that were good on my HTC sensation.

Giant little war game
Flip board ( perfect size to read)
Comic rack free ( walking dead comics all stored on Google drive)
Comixology

Temple run is perfect on this beast.

I want to second the fact that the xda app drinks major juice.

Google Chrome no longer preloading webpages

Hi everyone!
At Google io, someone showed off how Google Chrome on the nexus 7 preloaded Web page while you type, so it would load faster when you press go. But when I updated Google Chrome, it stopped doing that. Anyone else have that problem too?
Thanks

Perhaps they did that because it made the keyboard lag too much? If so, it would be a welcome addition.

What do you use your new nexus 7 for?

Just wanted to know what ya'll do on this awesome tablet.
I basically serf the web (forums, twitter, facebook etc.), play games, play some gba games using My Boy! emulator, watch movies/tv shows, read some books using Moon+ Reader, skpye, text with textplus, read some comics with ACV reader. I know, quite a bit of stuff lol
As an English major, lots of my classes have readings in PDF form. EZ PDF Reader has been a crucial app for me for school on my tf101. That will probably be my main use once school starts.
There is a thread already http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2387402

For YouTube and social apps when I'm too lazy to go to my living room and turn on my laptop.
But main purpose is to get latest android version and play with it.

I use mine mostly for watching shows (Netflix/hulu/crunchyroll) and browsing the web when I don't feel like firing up the PC.
Its also makes a great alarm clock, small external hard drive, calendar for work, and basic email checker for work for me. Heck, its almost replaced my laptop entirely.

Tapatalk, Reddit, YouTube, controlling Netflix on PS3, browsing, reading epubs, play movies/music via DLNA, Hangouts, Skype, play videos, DuoLingo (doing some of these through Miracast makes it even more cooler)
Guys there's already a thread started, the link above, that's absolutely the same thing. Why make another one and have two?

Mainly like having the latest version of Android. Also like the portability of a 7" tablet too. I've surprised myself by using this a lot more than my 10" Asus Infinity. Not just because it's new either, I prefer using a 7" tablet over a 10" for many things. Reading my magazine subscriptions are MUCH easier on my Infinity though, and I still prefer a lot of my games on my Infinity. I love that Google has made cloud storage available on a lot of games though. Makes jumping between devices MUCH easier!!
