[Q] Flash Defy+ *.sbf with Android 2.3.6 to red lens Defy?

Hi
I did read in the dev section, that there is a new *.sbf from the Defy+ with Android 2.3.6. which can be flashed on the Defy. I know there is no going backl from that if flashing the full sbf.
As far as i know the Defy with red lens (bayer device) is basically a Defy+.
So what i wanna know...will the camera work with this new sbf...basically, will everything work?

Nope... I don't think the red lens camera is working fine as of now...
Btw... was wondering if we flash the nandroid of the 2.3.6 then can we return to frayo?

hmmm. darn it... and here i was thinking the defy with red lens is quite the same as defy+. Obviously there are differences in the end.
So no experiments for me then...need the camera. hope it will start working at some point. Epsylon3 wrote, that with defy+ kernle some things are working easier and that they would probably jump to that kernel. But without Cam... :-(
Regarding the nandroid...sory..not sure if u can return..i think yes...but no guarantees ton that. U will have to read the thread in dev section from walther79

Someone already flashed this full SBF on a Defy MB525, its working perfectly for him. As long as you have a Red lens, and dont care about downgrading, you can go for it

From what i was reading in the meantime it wont work. At least thats what Walter79 wrote
Anyways...am on CM9 now and thats ok for now.. if i would use the newer Defy+ Kernel+Bootloader that wont work at the moment.

No... the ROM does work on Red lens Defy and Defy+, that's a fact.
What wont work is the Fixed SBF, cause it needs the new Firmware to work... which is only possible to have by flashing the full SBF.
Walter also said he is going to base the new MSGinger in this rom, and make it work on Green lens.
But the rom DOES work on Red Lens defy.

I have been flashed Epsylon nightlies and the cam recorder never worked. Some users have been said that in Quarx nightlies in red lens Defy, the video recorder its working...

Am on Quarx and I must say, it is solid. Everything work except for few OK to live without things.

why do i get lots of lags and freezes in each and every build of quarx?.. in epsylon's one i dont get these freezes and lags

On Defy+ I have used CM7 Quarx which was rock solid (worked everything) and changed to CM9 Quarx 0522. There is some problem with video playback, it is a little bit laggy. The recording and after playback on PC seems to be OK.

I'm using Quarx 2605 nightly and works very well
The bug with data connection already was corrected in this version and everything works, except panorama.
It seems that in the newer eppy nightly, camcorder and panorama works after flash a fix.
Its worth change from quarx to eppy now? anyone tried with Defy red lens?

Epsylon3 or Quarx2
I think that both the roms are great, but settings of Epsylon3 have more things.
With me no problems, but my defy wont charge when turn off.

[Q] Wants to downgrade Defy+

Hello Friends,
I am using Defy + (MB526) running 2.3.6 Rom.
I want to downgrade my defy+ to froyo for MIUI rom. I tried many things to downgrade but i am unable to downgrade.Yesterday i was totally dead my defy+ but thanks to XDA i found the solution to live again my defy+.
I just want to know Can I downgrade my defy+.If yes then can I again come back to GB kernel ?
Please tell me the correct method to downgrade my defy+

Hi, I have a Defy MB525 Green lens with BL7 and how everbody knows the cam and the battery is no longer working. there is any way out that makes at least the battary work properly? I'm completely desperate.

my battery was work but my camera dosent work maby im on bl6 ,what is the defrent of bl7 and bl6 ,how i know which one is my defy ?!

i flash BL7 root ,after that flash cm9 defy+, u mean my camera didnt work for ever ?

If you are on BL7, you can kiss your camera good bye... at least for now, there is no way of downgrading from BL7 and SOC module does not work on GB kernel

I have upgrade defy green lens to ms2ginger 4.0. When i use camcoder or camera, my phone is reboot.

Camera not work on green defy with 2.3.6

i flashed my green defy to 2.3.6 (DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134)
and installed patch to enable camera but its not work
now my camera is disabled since 1 month ago
may help me ????????????????

Hi, you got a problem: only RED lens defy should be flashed with that kind of kernels, it should be that you f***** up your camera ...

then try the custom rom like cm10,wajkui jb,miui

i installed cm9, but its not working

flash JORDN_U3_6.36.0
thats foryo on BL6.
if defy not boot up u stuck in BL7.
No Way to work camera.

hey bro if u still have this problem then there is a way out of it.First root the 2.3.6 as procedure is given in xda forum. Then flash epsylone build ICS rom of 18.11.2012. which u can get from xda forum . if u still have problem contact me @ [email protected]
