Request: LG Quick Remote apk

If anyone could provide the quick remote apk that would be great I am interested in trying it on my galaxy s4. Thanks!

Here u go. Is a zip file need to be flashed via cwm and it is the one from the lg g pro. Try and see if it works.

Thanks, this would be perfect...but unfortunately I am an the mf3 firmware which blocks custom recovery, therefore I cannot flash this. The only way I would be able to install it would be an apk and that might not even work.

Grab Clean Rom and extract it. It'll be in system, app. Then push it to device and install?

I have to root my galaxy s4 to install this application?

It cannot be installed on my note 10.1 (it has IR blaster too) looks like it needs LG framework to work..
But you should give it a try..

Hello Guys, I heard about LG to update the camera apk to 4.3.1 and fix about every problem the camera had.
Some of you received this update?
And if so, where can we find an apk of it?

Hey, I'm trying to install these apks but it fails to install... Do I have no choice but to root and flash them? Can't I just install the apks?

I've just got my phone today. I know about the camera issue but I have the original 4.3.1 camera apks/zip file. I tried installing apk but failed... Is there no way to install it? I don't want to root just yet...

You could use adb to push the files , altrough you would have to "semi root"

@xdafoundingmember, I downloaded and tried to sign the apk... However when I tried pushing, it said incosistent certficates.. Since this is a system app, what type of certificates do you need? I've tried the auto but fail fail... grrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Ok I'm going to root but not install custom recovery.. I know you can move the files into system folder using root explorer but where do I move all of the files (apks, libs etc)??

You push apk's into system/app and libs into system/lib but you have to find a way to clear dalvik cache and cache so that when you reboot android system will read all apps and create. dex files for them to work and without custom recovery I don't know if any other app would do without any problems.

Anyone pulled the official KK camera file?

Hey guys, has anyone pulled the official LG KK release camera file? I would be interested to see if this would work on our other KK ROMs like CM or any AOSP style KK ROM. Still think the only thing lacking from them is the camera.

Thanks man!! Now just to try and get it to work. I was hoping MAYBE just MAYBE it could be added to the system/app folder and flashed. But not the case.

If it helps on the stock Rom it's placed in the system/priv-app

with stock kk and after with g pro2 port rom.

Is there any way that the Q remote app from the g2 rom can be ported to the g3 rom . strange request I know but I do prefer the g2 one and it is missing my youview box that the g2 one has . thanks

Go into /system/app, find LGquickRemote.apk and rename it to LGquickRemote.bak. (or uninstall it. I prefer renaming it so if something goes wrong you can restore.)
Then, reboot into recovery and flash the v8 Quick Remote zip in this thread.
That should work.
EDIT: APK is called LGquickremote.apk I think.

Had to delete lgremote.odex also to get it to work or else I got force close .
