If the T-Mobile model is the SM-N9005 (I think it may be?) - you can mess around with different ROMS etc -- does it work as well as your current one? - well you have the Exy model N900 which I have never used (mine is the N9005) - however N9005 seems to be more widespread and a lot more tweaks and mods for it. --- The differences you would potentially face though as your 4G/LTE bands, ATT band might not be on the T-Mobile (N9005) variant so you could find yourself with no 4G (altho--- does your N900 have 4G? sure it doesn't as they are 3G only models?)
EDIT: Scratch that :: yours is a variant of the N9005 with 4G (Snapdragon) Just ATT naming differently --
Depends what you wanna do with the handset tbh to warrant swapping and utilising your unlocked bootloader

Which Note 3 to buy if I want CyanogenMOD?

Hey folks,
Thinking of selling my Note 4 and migrating from T-Mobile over to Verizon and picking up a used Note 3.
But I'll want recovery and AOSP options.
So which Note 3 should I buy?
From what I can tell, I should NOT buy any Note 3 that has Lollipop.
Can anyone help me focus on which Note 3's are safe to buy then?

Man, thank you so much!
For anyone else reading this in the future, here is a list of firmware for the Vzw Note 3.
I marked in red what we should look for, per davekaz post.

Just so you know.... unless you buy a Verizon Developer Edition Note 3, you won't be able to flash AOSP based ROM's due to the unlockable bootloader on the Retail Verizon Note 3.
As far as recovery options for the retail version, you can use Safestrap. It's a modified TWRP recovery which works with the locked bootloader, but you have to stick with ROM's that work with it, and can't flash AOSP based ROM'S because of kernel incompatibility. You won't be able to flash regular TWRP, CWM, or Philz on a retail Verizon Note 3, even if it's on 4.3 or 4.4.2.
Oh Gheez, I hate safe strap. Thanks for the heads up on it. Ugh.
I looked around but didn't see any developer editions for sale.
I've posted on several adds over at Swappa to find out the baseband version of those phones for sale.
Guess I'll have to live with SafeStrap.
Edit. Found a 4.4.2 retail version for sale.
Put Safestrap on it and flashed AllianceROM 4.4.2 and everything is working better than expected.

Domestic Unlock Question

Hello Everyone,
I currently have a SPH-L720 that I performed the international sim-unlock on and currently use it in the UK. I plan to use it when I return to the states on Verizon, but am curious if I need to perform the Domestic Sim-unlock and change the LTE bands under the hidden dialer menu or should it work automatically since the phone is currently carrier unlocked and then only need to change the LTE bands? Thanks!

It doesn't support the Verizon LTE bands to begin with. Pretty sure you will never have 4G, if I'm wrong kindly point me to the info.

Ah ok I was under the assumption that I was able to modify my LTE bands as I saw on an S5 tutorial.

Would you mind linking that tutorial? As far as I know you can only change them to bands that are already supported by the device.

Questions About Basebands, Mobile Networks and Unlocked Devices

I have a few concerns to address. I recently bought the Galaxy i9505 (or in my case, the Sprint SPH-L720T version). The device comes unlocked with stock firmware/software, Lollipop 5.0.1 baseband OH2.
Now I will try to make this as clear as possible. We don't have the Sprint network here, I'm on Vodafone. I just flashed an official ROM from Sammobile with a different baseband version (this one) because I can't find the version that my phone came pre-installed with. I upgraded to address the StageFright and widgets app draw issue that was on the stock ROM.
Now my question is: by flashing a different baseband version, will I lose the ability to have an unlocked device and incur roaming charges on my network, or is the unlocked to work on multiple networks feature on a firmware level so I don't have to worry about it?
Thanks.

You will lose your domestic/international unlock of you upgrade the Baseband unless it was actually unlocked by Sprint.

Yeah, I kinda figured that would be the case. Good thing I made a backup.
I suppose you wouldn't know where I can get a StageFright Patch for the OH2 version by any chance?

How to get the S7 Edge international Unlocked version?

Hello,
I know that the phone will be releasing on the 11th, and all the pre-order options available are through carriers. I will be ordering online since I live in DR, where do you think I could buy the Unlocked international version of the cellphone?
Thank you.
Ebay. There are several available. It is the Exynos version. SM-935F

Compare Ebay and Amazon to European stores such as Unlocked Mobiles and Clove UK, see which comes out cheaper.
Depends where you are just go to an independant shop that sells all networks and that phone will be the int unlocked version or country version with no bloat ware unless you click on yes on first boot up and install it by mistake , but that can be deleted anyway

Hi
I'm quite interested in the carrier customisation stuff.
What do you mean by click yes on first boot up? What does it say you are clicking yes to? Any screenshots? Have you clicked yes?
Further info much appreciated!
Thanks!
When you boot up a unlocked version you get a pop up in your notifications , for me that's a Vodafone notification which asks you to click on the notification to install their software , it is a pain but if you do nothing the request is gone on the next boot up , this happens in European phones I don't know if it happens on every country my phone is a phn model

Yes the T-Mobile S7 / S7 edge can only be unlocked by the built in device unlock app now
We unlocked quite a few today
Did you order an unlock or was it unlocked by T-Mobile as you purchased it outright?

Hello.
The Nexus 4 never officially supported LTE. Some people discovered that there was partial support in the chipset and figured out how to enable it. However it only works on a limited frequency range and you have to know if the cell sites near you have the right frequency band. I never bothered figuring it out for myself as HSDPA+ is fast enough for me and I only have a small amount of monthly data to use anyway.
You need to use older versions of the baseband/modem as the most recent ones disabled the possible LTE modes. Whether older versions of the baseband are compatible with community ROMs based on 6.0 and up I don't know. I haven't seen any discussion for a while now. Phones with good supported LTE have been common for a long time and I suspect anyone who really needed LTE has moved on.
Band 4 LTE works just fine, problem is, I think Tmo in the US is the only carrier that supports it (thankfully I am in the US and on T-mo in that case). Any ROM with a Hybrid Modem will work. I am on latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS and is works fine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/development/rom-nitrogen-os-n-substratum-10-09-2016-t3459341
Make sure LTE shows as enabled: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/updated-zip-one-lte-enabler-flash-one-t2358931
Hi
Good news!, in latest 7.1.1_r4 Nitrogen OS, this ROM has build.prop modified by default with LTE option enabled in mobile network menu. But this ROM has modem device only for 3G, so i flashed this file and 4G LTE it's back again on band 4!
