I used to be able to see the image files that I saved through Scrapbook in my Gallery. For some reason it stopped working and whenever I would save a picture in Scrapbook, the images wouldn't update. I would have the same number of images in my Scrapbook album in the Gallery. I decided to delete all the images and start over. Now when I use Scrapbook, images no longer show up in the Gallery app or any image viewing app. I've tried restarting and wiping Cache and Dalvik. Still no go

When I use a file manager to move photos from my dcim folder the thumbnails stay in my gallery. So I delete the .thumbnails folder and reboot. The spaces are still there, but the image placeholders are still there. This is a new problem with OTA 2.2. Anyone know of a fix?
I'm not sure what happened, but I was having trouble using my camera. It would close right after opening. I cleared my cache and uninstalled a few apps and rebooted and now my camera works and the files are out of my gallery. Weird, but at least it's fixed.
I have a few questions re: the gallery that I'd love some help with.
1. Gallery doesn't update a folder if I move a picture using a file explorer (Astro or Root Explorer for example). If I reboot the phone then the picture shows up in the correct directory. I'm guessing that restarting the gallery app would do the same thing. Anyone else having this issue?
2. Is there a way to have the gallery only look to one location for pics? I hate how it always grabs every image on my SD Card. Especially if you have Bejeweled installed. It adds about 10 folders of images that I don't want to have to browse through. Is there another gallery app that would allow me to set this if the stock gallery doesn't work that way?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Also noticing that the Gallery just doesn't update frequently. I thought it did this every time you opened it, but I guess not. Is there a way to force programs to re-scan the SD card?
SDRescan in the market works perfectly... and if you want to keep the folder from being seen in the gallery, just add a blank text file to the folder and rename it .nomedia
Thanks odrecords. Both of those work perfectly.
stock gallery will grab images from any folder on your SD if you don't want your gallery to load em theres two ways when in gallery hit menu then show hide. this will do as it says and either load or not load certain folders. Other option is to place a period in front of the folder name u want hidden i.e. ".test". This will hide it from the Android system in general but not file explorers.
I'd like to add images to the default Android Gallery app, but I can't seem to find a way to do so.
I've just been using Astro file manager to sort through images, but some apps require my images to be in the default Gallery app to work.
So far I've attempted to use Airdroid to virtually upload the images straight to the gallery, downloaded a media rescan app, and attempted Renate's manual sqlite3 entry (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1625318&page=2) all to no avail.
Thanks in advance everyone.
Sometimes I move some of my pictures from one directory to another using ConnectBot's local command line or the ASTRO File Manager. The problem is, after this the new pictures are not visible in the stock Gallery app, and there are blank rectangles where the old ones used to be.
I tried cleaning Gallery's cache & data, manually deleting sdcard/Android/data/com.android.gallery3d and sdcard/DCIM/thumbnails, but none of this helped. The only thing that helps is rebooting my phone.
Is there another way to force Gallery to rescan my file system?
I lost some photos that i wanted for gallery. When i tried to restore from titanium backup, gallery app is now bugged so i cant open it. Does anyone have the apk for gallery that i can push onto my phone to get it back?
