Which ROM are you using? Are you using a custom kernel or the one that comes with the ROM? Have you checked the governor to make sure you aren't using performance?
Sent from my AT&T LG G2
My Rom no custom kernel but using the free version of the trickster mod in the play store... Set the governor on interactive

Hi wondering if anyone could share their setting with franko kernel that gives decent battery life and performance combine? or any tweaks with the kernel setting to improve over all? Thanks. The kernel is great btw
The values which comes with the Kernel should be good.
I think Franco himself uses these values.
Stock values are fine, but I find these allow better battery life without sacrificing performance:
384 MHz min freq
Conservative governor
100 mV UV across the board (optional)
Stock everything else

We don't have a franko kernel.

Undervolting doesn't affect battery at least not a lot. Just a little bit.

Can you refer me to a kernel that's out of the box ready to go? To be honest I am pleased with the stock kernel, which i am using, but I want a mod to make the in ear headset volume louder and supposedly I can't do that on stock kernel. So I need something close.
When I look through faux and Franco threads I get overwhelmed with all the settings and interfaces talked about.
Another thing is I like stock Google colors, not the darker ones a lot of the devs have been updating to.
Thanks

Go with Faux To the best of my knowledge if you flash Faux's kernel you retain stock Google color presets until you choose to tweak them via Faux's kernel management apps (you can also revert to Google presets via his app after experimenting with colors yourself). He does have an enhanced stock kernel if you want to keep as close to stock as possible.
As for volume or speaker settings he's got you covered there as well--check out his apps on GPlay. You don't have to feel overwhelmed because he does provide you with "recommended" settings on the various sliders & knobs within the app interface. And the enhanced performance & battery life you'll get is just gravy. Good luck!

With either Franco or Faux's kernel, no need to be overwhelmed by all the settings. They work just fine using the default settings out-of-the-box, and you can just change the settings that interest you.
Use Franco kernel. It's been amazing so far. Everyone is impressed with battery life and all. You don't need to mess with the settings. Just run as is.

I've searched and searched and can't find a thread on this for our excellent devices!
So I'm going to start one !?
What setup is everyone using and does anyone have advice in how to get the best performance / battery life balance?
I'm running CyanogenMod 11 on my D802.
I also have android tuner but not sure how to best use the CPU section
Performance is good but I think it could be improved.

Btw I wouldn't use performace as a daily gov as it locks cpu frequency to max.

What kind of information do you expect from us.
Do you want to know what the different governors mean?
If u want best battery life try out different governors.
For me ondemand is the Best. Using stock kk.

I was just looking for some information about his to make the best from the 4 cores!?

Fine i repeat u can use greenify and delete apps u dont use set ur cpu frequency lower if u turn off screen.
Theres also an app which can also save alot of battery. When screen is off ur data will be always on unless u deakivated it. So it enables every 15min or whatever time u set ur data to get notifications etc. So that save battery. Performance is controlled by governor.
It is only up to you whether u need lag free scolling or more battery.

Ok. I have echoe rom v2 with its latest kernel.
I want good battery life but also good performance. Should I leave it all as default, or get a kernel tweaker? If so which one, and whats a good governor to use that won't suck up the battery? Also what about min and max cpu settings?
Many thanks guys.
